The owner Maria is very knowledgable and helpful and has many ideas how to put things together for beautiful effect. I also discovered she can come to your home to decorate on site, which I tried this fall, and I received so many compliments! Regarding floral arrangements, I've been using Hlavacek for years because the flowers are always beautiful and the arrangements stunning. They really last, too . I bring in my cornucopia every Fall and have learned that even if I make no suggestions, it will be designed beautifully and with delightful touches. The decor items like silk flowers, swags, candles and shelf pieces are all tasteful -much better quality than Michael's or the craft stores, and much more reliable than high end catalogs like Frontgate. It's a treat to walk in the shop and see what's available. Finally, I agree with the many reviews that rave about the owner. It took a 5 minute phone call to describe the set up and color suggestions. They said they would deliver them the morning of the event to Birchwood directly, which was one thing off my plate. Sold. The flowers themselves were so pretty! We left the party with our arms full of gifts and umbrellas thanks to a very rainy night. When I called Birchwood the next morning to see if i could pick up the flowers to enjoy them a few more days they said they had disposed of them. This was super disappointing because the flowers were really beautiful, but of course this was no fault of ArtQuest. They were also pretty expensive, but that seems to be the case with most beautiful flowers these days. The prices charged by good florists are of course more than what you could buy at a grocery store or some drug stores that carry flowers but they do not compare in any way to flowers from a florist. Arranging flowers is an art form and I would prefer to rely on the experts at Rolling Meadows Florist who produce fantastic pieces!

Flowers last more than a week on average versus FTD, 1800-Flowers, etc. They're a little pricey, but the quality is pretty good. We went with them for wedding reception table centerpiece flowers from past experience. Flowers were beautiful, ready on time, and decently priced.
