I ordered the "lavish long and low" centerpiece arrangement for Thanksgiving, expecting something actually full and lavish like the pictures shown on the website. The cost was $180, with tax and delivery bringing the total cost to $213. The flowers were nice quality, but the arrangement was very, very small (10 inches long by 5 inches high) and compact, especially for this price and for a table centerpiece. Given that this was a gift for the host, I was very embarrassed. There were 13 flowers (5 roses, 3 kale, 3 anemometers, 2 protea) plus some pedestrian eucalyptus filler. I called to ask if the wrong arrangement had possibly been delivered, and was told that this was a high quality arrangement. Quality was fine, value for the $$ was very poor. read more

The flowers are absolutely gorgeous! Joanne is attentive and easy to work with. I had a lot of requests regarding the details of the decoration, but Joanne was always very patient. We had a little difficulty regarding the delivery of the flowers. We realized that I will be doing photo shooting outside the venue when the flowers will be delivered, so I asked my limo driver to pick up the flowers. Joanne secured the flowers during the ride and even decorated our limo. When we returned to the venue, the decoration looked amazing and received so many compliments from guests. Very nice lady extremely small arrangement. My friend was in the hospital for emergency labor and delivery. I am out of state and I didn't want her not to feel alone. I paid $75 for the arrangement and $25 for delivery. The arrangement was cute but tiny and it was being delivered 6 minutes away. I didn't know how small it was until my friend sent a thank you text and her ultrasound pics happened to be next to the "arrangement." I almost passed out. I should've brought flowers when I landed. I chose FlowersFlowers for my wedding based on the excellent reviews on yelp, after having started with a different florist, who was not helpful at all. When I first met with Joanne, I was very impressed by the beauty and cleanliness of her store. But I was worried that the upgrade in professional demeanor and quality of her store would mean she would not want to work with my fairly inexpensive wedding. I did not need any flowers for the church, wanted a simple bouquet, and just a few lillies on each table at the reception. I was worried that Joanne would balk at the simplicity, or treat me as a less important customer. However, she was wonderful throughout the entire process. First, I loved that she used her ipad to show me examples of other weddings she had done, so we could make sure we had the same vision. By the time I got home, she had emailed me a quote, again with photos included. As I changed my mind a few times (change of number of ushers, realizing my mother didnt' like the flowers I'd chosen for her wrist corsage, etc.), Joanne remained professional, friendly, and helpful. She always responded very quickly and never did anything to blind-side me. She was definitely one of the easiest vendors to work with. Obviously, the proof was the day of the wedding. I was overwhelmed with how beautiful the flowers were. I thought they'd be nice, but I didn't expect them to be stunning, which they were. My bouquet was so lovely I was almost in tears before the wedding even began. The flower children's rose petals' color perfectly matched the orange of my bouquet's lilies. What a grave disappointment this florist is!!!! She wants no accountability for the hard earned money one spends. She is caustic and lacks any customer service skills. I ordered a very precious and important birthday bouquet for my very sick aunt in Wilmette. When I questioned Joanne on the number of stems and type of flowers in the bouquet, she was evasive and not helpful. I requested she text me a photo of the bouquet before it left the shop. And of course she didn't . I called the following day to view what she sent? It was awful and extremely disappointing. I told her it was a hodgepodge of left over flowers that looked pathetic. If I were to have another wedding (and part of me wants to, because it was so much fun) I would have Joanne handle the flowers again. Not having had a wedding previously, I cannot compare her services, but can say she excelled in every way that is important to a bride. She's definitely a low-stress/high performing member of the wedding team. Joanne herself is a sweet pea and a good listener. She treated our wedding like the special celebration it was - emailing me the day she placed the flower order because she was excited about it (me too! ). She also contacted me when one of the types I'd liked turned out to be sparsely available and generally not looking up to snuff. I was absolutely fine with leaving it out, and appreciated the upfront communication. Our meetings were in Joanne's sweet little shop where she can gather up samples of her stock to show you the ideas you discuss. Everything she has in stock is fresh and lovely, which is exactly what we got on the big day. In fact, they were so fresh the centerpieces lasted for weeks. I gave one to my boss and a few other special colleagues, and they used them for holiday dinner parties - they were that impressive and sturdy. Since my wedding in December, I've seen more of Joanne's work on Facebook and am impressed and mildly jealous at the beautiful bouquets she's produced for other brides. It's clear that she enjoys not only flowers but the spirit of wedding flowers as well. Seemed like a a lot of money for what was delivered. Only after the recipient called to complain after one arrangement (three dalias) died two days after she received it did the quality of the arrangement improve. My husband sent me a $150, 10 year anniversary bouquet from this "reputable" florist. The dahlias were dead upon arrival. I called the owner Joanne and she said, " they looked fine when they left the store." I sent her a photo of said flowers. She offered to send a new bouquet. If I brought her the old one. The entire bouquet was dead in 4 days. The worst flowers I have EVER received with the rudest customer service. DO NOT EVER UTILIZE THIS FLORIST! Not only that she charges a $50 delivery fee but used uber which cost her $10. I have the Uber receipt. Joanne is commenting falsehoods on my review to make herself look better. We are in dispute and will continue to be until she refunds us our $142. I have daily pictures of our bouquet.
