I ordered the "lavish long and low" centerpiece arrangement for Thanksgiving, expecting something actually full and lavish like the pictures shown on the website. The cost was $180, with tax and delivery bringing the total cost to $213. The flowers were nice quality, but the arrangement was very, very small (10 inches long by 5 inches high) and compact, especially for this price and for a table centerpiece. Given that this was a gift for the host, I was very embarrassed. There were 13 flowers (5 roses, 3 kale, 3 anemometers, 2 protea) plus some pedestrian eucalyptus filler. I called to ask if the wrong arrangement had possibly been delivered, and was told that this was a high quality arrangement. Quality was fine, value for the $$ was very poor. read more

I just received a beautiful arrangement of flowers from this small business. The blooms are beautiful, they delivered right to my front door make sure I answered the door and made sure I was the right person before they left the flowers for me. Numerous times in the past with other florist they get just left at my garage and are wilted by the time I get to them. So professional, courteous, and what a beautiful arrangement! Even the glass container will definitely get used again. Please support the small business and I will as well since this was a gift to me! read more

The flowers are absolutely gorgeous! Joanne is attentive and easy to work with. I had a lot of requests regarding the details of the decoration, but Joanne was always very patient. We had a little difficulty regarding the delivery of the flowers. We realized that I will be doing photo shooting outside the venue when the flowers will be delivered, so I asked my limo driver to pick up the flowers. Joanne secured the flowers during the ride and even decorated our limo. When we returned to the venue, the decoration looked amazing and received so many compliments from guests. Thanks for making my wedding beautiful! read more

Did my wedding flowers. Have purchased loose bouquets for mum here for years. No, not Jewel costs but unique flowers. BUT, went in to ask for 40 dollars worth of bouquet. What I got was a third of what I expected. For 50 bucks with tax, a slice of a bouquet. Sorry, unique or not, not affordable. Not worth the money spent. Joanne, thank you for your reply. Your criticism is fair. I should have said something but your prices are your prices I figured. I believe I have written positive reviews in the past. I LOVE your flowers and your arrangements. Really, I do. read more

We have a great experience with FlowersFlowers. Immediate, honest response and the recipients were thrilled!

Years ago I planned a professional event and needed flowers, and decided to go the easy route, ordering from a vendor my company recommended: FlowersFlowers. Fast forward to now, and not only am I STILL ordering flowers from this amazing shop, I use them for all of my flower needs. Why? Because the talent, creativity, beauty, professionalism, and care that this shop gives is beyond incredible. I love the creativity and talent these artists embody, so much so that unless I am ordering for a very specific professional event, I always let them create for me. I've never been disappointed, everyone loves the creations I give them, and. I'm convinced that one holiday event is a guaranteed invite because the host knows my host gift will be something beautiful from FlowersFlowers. The staff and owner are kind and professional, and I've always enjoyed working with them. I highly recommend this shop. read more

We found Joanne because of a recommendation from our venue, The Women's Club of Evanston, who had worked with her before, and my wife and I could not have been happier with how our wedding flowers turned out. We had a vision for the general vibe, but not the specifics, and Joanne and her team helped us finesse how we wanted everything to look. I walked into her shop for a consult with nothing more than "I want a flower crown, but one that suits ME" and ended up with absolute perfection. The photos speak for themselves. read more

Very nice lady extremely small arrangement. My friend was in the hospital for emergency labor and delivery. I am out of state and I didn't want her not to feel alone. I paid $75 for the arrangement and $25 for delivery. The arrangement was cute but tiny and it was being delivered 6 minutes away. I didn't know how small it was until my friend sent a thank you text and her ultrasound pics happened to be next to the "arrangement." I almost passed out. I should've brought flowers when I landed. I love a pleasant person but not at slick fox whom doesn't demonstrate decorum when handling people money in a crisis. Check out all the pictures. Then shop elsewhere. read more

For a fabulous gift of fresh, fragrant and beautiful flowers artfully arranged. My friend was delighted on her birthday.

I have had the pleasure of working with Flowers Flowers for several years. In my previous job, I was the manager of a local wedding venue. Joanne, the owner, did the flowers for many weddings at the venue and she was always a delight to work with. The Flowers Flowers team is punctual, efficient and calm on event day, when there are a lot of moving pieces for an event. Which is important when part of a large event. But best of all, Flowers Flowers arrangements are original and gorgeous. I have referred her too many times to count. Couples who used Flowers Flowers were complimentary of the finished product and the experience of working with the Flowers Flowers team and thanked me for the referral. In my previous position it was wonderful to have such a great business partner to refer. She made my job easier. Personally I have used Flowers Flowers to create arrangements for special occasions for friends. The flowers arrangements that Flowers Flowers produces are blog/vlog/Instagram worthy. Always gorgeous and happily received by my friends. Joanne has also helped me out, when I have been in a pinch, with an orchard/plant/gift at the last minute. I know that when I refer Joanne, that she will treat the client to a top notch experience. I also know that when I am the client, the Flowers Flowers team will take great care to create a truly beautiful and original design. read more

I chose FlowersFlowers for my wedding based on the excellent reviews on yelp, after having started with a different florist, who was not helpful at all. When I first met with Joanne, I was very impressed by the beauty and cleanliness of her store. But I was worried that the upgrade in professional demeanor and quality of her store would mean she would not want to work with my fairly inexpensive wedding. I did not need any flowers for the church, wanted a simple bouquet, and just a few lillies on each table at the reception. I was worried that Joanne would balk at the simplicity, or treat me as a less important customer. However, she was wonderful throughout the entire process. First, I loved that she used her ipad to show me examples of other weddings she had done, so we could make sure we had the same vision. By the time I got home, she had emailed me a quote, again with photos included. As I changed my mind a few times (change of number of ushers, realizing my mother didnt' like the flowers I'd chosen for her wrist corsage, etc.), Joanne remained professional, friendly, and helpful. She always responded very quickly and never did anything to blind-side me. She was definitely one of the easiest vendors to work with. Obviously, the proof was the day of the wedding. I was overwhelmed with how beautiful the flowers were. I thought they'd be nice, but I didn't expect them to be stunning, which they were. My bouquet was so lovely I was almost in tears before the wedding even began. The flower children's rose petals' color perfectly matched the orange of my bouquet's lilies. Everything was as simple as I wanted, but still exquisite. I have no reservations about recommending FlowersFlowers. You will be in good hands. read more

I don't think Yelp will give me enough space to write about what absolutely breathtakingly unique, lush, and beautiful flowers and bouquets FlowersFlowers provides. I've both bought and been treated to arrangements from this floral boutique in more than one occasion, and each time they literally lift up the entire mood in my house. Of course they smell beautiful, but they are clearly assembled with such care and attention to detail. FlowersFlowers also has something for every budget, and absolutely listens to what you are looking for for any occasion - whether it's eucalyptus to put in the shower or a large scale event. The owner, Joanne, is also a pure delight and a floral magician:). Evanston is lucky to have this shop and I can't imagine recommending a florist more highly than I recommend FlowersFlowers. If I were to have another wedding (and part of me wants to, because it was so much fun) I would have Joanne handle the flowers again. Not having had a wedding previously, I cannot compare her services, but can say she excelled in every way that is important to a bride. She's definitely a low-stress/high performing member of the wedding team. Joanne herself is a sweet pea and a good listener. She treated our wedding like the special celebration it was - emailing me the day she placed the flower order because she was excited about it (me too! ). She also contacted me when one of the types I'd liked turned out to be sparsely available and generally not looking up to snuff. I was absolutely fine with leaving it out, and appreciated the upfront communication. Our meetings were in Joanne's sweet little shop where she can gather up samples of her stock to show you the ideas you discuss. Everything she has in stock is fresh and lovely, which is exactly what we got on the big day. In fact, they were so fresh the centerpieces lasted for weeks. I gave one to my boss and a few other special colleagues, and they used them for holiday dinner parties - they were that impressive and sturdy. Since my wedding in December, I've seen more of Joanne's work on Facebook and am impressed and mildly jealous at the beautiful bouquets she's produced for other brides. It's clear that she enjoys not only flowers but the spirit of wedding flowers as well. From consultation to execution, she made me feel like we were in good hands, and the proof was all around us on our wedding day. read more

Although I have never had the pleasure of speaking directly with Joanne, I have seen the results of her work and I am more than impressed. Joanne supplied the flowers for my wedding and did a wonderful job at that -- my wife was practically begging me to write this review as a thank you. FlowersFlowers accommodated all of our requests and followed my wife's instructions to a T. The end result was amazing, of course. My personal favorite part of her work for our wedding was the flower arch that sat behind our altar. It was breathtaking. I will be posting a picture of the arch in addition to this review; it deserves to be seen by a wider audience. read more

What a grave disappointment this florist is!!!! She wants no accountability for the hard earned money one spends. She is caustic and lacks any customer service skills. I ordered a very precious and important birthday bouquet for my very sick aunt in Wilmette. When I questioned Joanne on the number of stems and type of flowers in the bouquet, she was evasive and not helpful. I requested she text me a photo of the bouquet before it left the shop. And of course she didn't . I called the following day to view what she sent? It was awful and extremely disappointing. I told her it was a hodgepodge of left over flowers that looked pathetic. She is a rip-off artist that is not concerned with customers satisfaction. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS FLORIST! read more

We had use the florist before but this time our $200 roses were dead. We called to talk to the owner and I was completely taken back how rude she was on the phone. She was down right mean. I didn't ask for a refund. I simply called about how the roses arrived and she just started screaming and was insulting. I was left speechless. I believe in supporting local business, but there are plenty of florist in Evanston and supporting areas. I recommend skipping this place and fine someone who appreciates the community they are in and their customers. If she is reading this I really hope you realize how you appear when talking to people. I think it was worst then receiving dead roses. Kindness is the most important thing, even when working through a problem. It would have just received a simple sorry. read more

Order a weekly description and was very disappointed in the first several weeks...three stems for $75 plus tax??!! It definitely was not an arrangement/ bouquet as described on the website. Seemed like a a lot of money for what was delivered. Only after the recipient called to complain after one arrangement (three dalias) died two days after she received it did the quality of the arrangement improve. Too bad as I would have continued the subscription, but with the quality and number of stems received I could not justify the cost. Taking my business elsewhere. read more

GORGEOUS flowers and incredible customer service -- thanks so much, FlowersFlowers! A friend recommended FF to me even though I was never a "real flowers" type of person. My husband sent me a $150, 10 year anniversary bouquet from this "reputable" florist. The dahlias were dead upon arrival. I called the owner Joanne and she said, " they looked fine when they left the store." I sent her a photo of said flowers. She offered to send a new bouquet. If I brought her the old one. The entire bouquet was dead in 4 days. The worst flowers I have EVER received with the rudest customer service. DO NOT EVER UTILIZE THIS FLORIST! Not only that she charges a $50 delivery fee but used uber which cost her $10. I have the Uber receipt. Joanne is commenting falsehoods on my review to make herself look better. We are in dispute and will continue to be until she refunds us our $142. I have daily pictures of our bouquet. My wedding bouquet was stunning. I was speechless. Joanne does incredible work. All of my maids' bouquets were equally beautiful. AND I called her about two months before my wedding and wanted to add reception centerpieces which I had declined previously. However, I had come into a load of vintage milk glass vases and Joanne filled them with seasonal spring tulips and waxflower and set them up BEAUTIFULLY at the Woman's Club in Evanston. The flowers were absolutely my favorite part of the day. And it's been 3 days and my bouquet is still in a vase in my house :) read more

After a disappointing meeting with one of the florists on our venue's "preferred vendors" list, my mom and I decided to stray from the list and check out some other florists. My mom's neighbor recommended Flowers Flowers, so we decided to make an appointment to meet with Joanne, the owner. We came in with a few photos of some bouquets I liked -- something in different shades of purple, a little different that the typical all white bridal bouquets. Joanne listened to what we wanted and offered us suggestions, without ever making us feel rushed. We ended up booking Flowers Flowers to do our personal, ceremony and reception flowers, and everything was so gorgeous. Joanne did an amazing job translating my vision into a reality. In addition to being incredibly talented, Joanne is a delight to work with. She's incredibly flexible, organized and very responsive, and I'd definitely recommend her to anyone looking for beautiful flowers! read more

We met with many different floral vendors for our fall wedding, and Joanne was by far the friendliest, most professional and most organized of all of them. From our first meeting, it was pretty clear from the start that Joanne wasn't going to push us towards more expensive flowers (as prior vendors had done) - if anything she strived to give us our vision within our budget. A big plus for me was how incredible Joanne was at correspondence -I don't believe she ever took more than a few hours to respond to even the smallest question or email. In particular, I had mentioned to Joanne that I was worried about the color of the hydrangeas we would get (I wanted them more purple than blue but it completely depends on the supply at the time) - and she made it a point to email me on a semi-regular basis to keep me updated on what color hydrangeas she was getting at the time, complete with pictures. That level of initiative and commitment to detail meant the world to me. On the day of, every arrangement was exactly like we had imagined, and the flowers were absolutely beautiful. Everything was delivered on time and Joanne was there to personally pin on our boutonnieres. The flowers stayed fresh and beautiful for weeks afterwards in our apartment. Joanne gave us the perfect wedding flower experience, and I will only choose her for my floral needs in the future. read more
