Lovely was recommended to us by our friends who were recently married, and for that I'm so thankful. Lovely was wonderful to work with! My husband and I didn't have a super specific vision of what we wanted in terms of flowers. I came to our initial meeting with my color palette, a few pictures of white flowers and greenery, and the notion that I wanted our wedding to feel elegant but not over the top/gaudy. Although we didn't give much direction, Lovely did what she does best and nailed it! Everything was logistically very easy as well, from dropping off bouquets/boutonnieres the morning of to the room flip to clean up. We have used May Floral several times, and have been very happy with the results each time. Unlike picking an arrangement off of a website, Lovely (the owner) takes as much or as little information you're able to provide (preferred colors, flowers, occasion, etc.) and creates a custom arrangement for your order. And the prices are comparable to the big national websites. What's even better is that she delivers the flowers herself and sends you a picture of the arrangement. I highly recommend May Floral. Lovely designed bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages and a few flower arrangements for my wedding and reception. She was amazing to work with. We met so that I could tell her what I liked and disliked. I showed her some examples on Pinterest of what I liked and then let her take that feedback and run. I had a LOVELY experience with May Floral. Lovely Bastian was who I worked with and she was wonderful. I gave her a few pictures from my pinterest wall so she knew the look and feel I was going for and she ran with it! My flowers were modern, creative and fresh. I loved the wristlets and boutineers that she made for the people standing up in our wedding; they were very original. Everything was affordable on our small budget, too. I even asked her to help out with our tree planting ceremony and some cute ideas for the kids table and she nailed it. I had the pleasure of working with Lovely on a styled shoot last week & she was so wonderful to partner with! As a wedding planner & designer one of the most important creative partnerships I have is with floral designers & Lovely really delivered. We had a very specific look in mind for the shoot, which had tons of color! I was a little concerned before the shoot that the floral wouldn't fall in line with all of the other pieces. THEY WERE PERFECT! It may seem dramatic to say I teared up a little bit when I saw it (and yes, I have a natural flare for the dramatics), but as an artist to see all of the visual pieces work together as you pictured is a beautiful thing and I could not have completed the look without Lovely! I met Lovely at the Wedding Indie Expo and she was so sweet and sounded so accommodating. I scheduled to meet with her to discuss really just floral head pieces which is what I mentioned in the survey and at the expo. I did have a weird feeling because my budget was so low to begin with. We still met up, she was nice and helpful and the meeting ended rather quick. I was suppose to hear from her the following Monday for my estimate but never got an email or call. I even searched my spam just in case, nothing. I've since then tried to reach out to her twice and still never got a response back. I figured she didn't want to take my order and I'm going to assume it's because I didn't request a full production floral package. Otherwise she would of really tried to reach out to me or she could of mentioned something before the meeting like "due to the busy wedding, I am unable to accommodate small orders at this time". As a busy, soon to be bride, planning a wedding is stressful and we need all the help we can get, even if its just common courtesy. read more

I recently used Lovely for my wedding and was very disappointed. I showed specific pictures and explained my vision very clearly and did not receive was I was asking for with any of the flowers at the wedding. For my bouquet, I asked for a very large, loose, full, organic arrangement and got the furthest from that. My bouquet was about 3 times too small and not the shape or look I was wanting. The same went for the bridesmaids bouquets, they were as tiny as could be. When I expressed they weren't what I was expecting, she got annoyed and frustrated and seemed to not want to do what she could to get it right, even though she had plenty of time. For the guys boutonnière, I wanted fall flowers with berries and instead got a cactus looking flower with no color. We requested to have fresh flowers as our cake topper and no flowers were put on top of the cake. For our centerpieces in our reception, they once again did not resemble the style from the photos shown. I was very clear on my vision and gave many photos for her to work with. I felt that Lovely was not professional and didn't fulfill what was asked. Very disappointing. read more
