I had my lock rekeyed here and had a great experience. The service was fast, professional, and everything was explained clearly. The whole process was quick and easy. Thank you for the excellent service! read more

Quickly resolved the issue by cutting me a new key and allowing me access to my glovebox.

This was my first time here getting a key copied and I can't tell you how great this place is. They open really early which made it easier for me to just do a quick drop in and go straight to work after. Glen's Key Lock & Safe has great customer service and is super knowledgeable. I literally handed them a key I wanted to be copied, told them how many I needed, and they just did it right away. No added sales to it! Whenever you need to make extra keys, I highly suggest you support local and make copies here. They're fast and efficient- I was in and out in less than 5 minutes! read more

Helpful. Educated. Quick. Excellent customer service. Solved the problem and made it pain free. Would highly recommend.

Came in to get a copy made and the guy with the cowboy hat was swearing and yelling at a customer there for the same thing. I had no issues with my cashier, but seeing how disrespectful this other guy was prompted me to write a review. Get rid of him and it'd be 5 stars ! read more

I needed keys made for a bus I bought last year. It didn't come with them. The service was quick. The people were professional. Isaac was a great help. The bathroom smelled like someone was cooking tropical omelets. Air freshener and eggs. However great service. Came by a couple weeks after to get some keys made. read more

Needed some copies of residential door keys. Yeah, Home Depot, Lowe's etc have machines to do that, but I'm lucky if 1/2 the keys actually work. I had 10 copies made this visit, every key worked. read more

Key broke for my safe and they were able to get it open in 5 mins for only $10. Another place wanted $30 to look at it and then $90+ to actually do the work. 10/10 recommend! read more

They have been around for a long time. I think 1924. I have been around a long time. I knew old Glen Hickenlooper, Don Moulton, Bruce, Charley, and now Todd. As a property owner, I depend on having keys that turn...the first time, every time. Keep up the good work. read more

I went in today to get several copies of a key made, and also planned to inquire about having a electronic keypad lock installed in a non-profit I volunteer for. I was informed that the internet was down, and I could either pay cash or leave my credit card information and they would bill me later. This is something I am not comfortable doing. I stated that I was just up the street and would come back, and asked if they had any idea of how long it would be? I am not comfortable leaving credit info, no matter how honest a business is. The manager/owner guy said (quote) "I don't work for Google dude, I have no idea, I am just running a shop here!" Very loud and arrogant tone. That is not the best response if you want to keep my business. I thanked them and left. I have used Glen's Keys fairly often over the last few years, but will find another key shop now! Sorry Dude, no electronic keypad lock installation for you guys. Good luck with your attitude! Have a great day. read more

Service was amazing!!! I was in tears after breaking my key to my car. Saturday morning I called Autozone and they recommended Glens! I'm truly blessed that they were open on a Saturday and happy to serve me quickly and efficiently. I'm back on the road with no worries. read more

TLDR: Hospitality, quick, and affordable I never leave reviews but I had a great experience with Glen's. I was referred by Ace Hardware because my Car Key was special and I called Glen's the same day. Roger helped me out and was very nice and quick with his job. I forgot to catch the other man's name but he showed me his ferret photos, and he made sure I was helped. read more

Glen's key. Hardware store quality at triple the price. Not friendly. Don't listen to your needs. NOT recommended

First things first, earlier this year Glens was the victim of a truly unfortunate accident. They suffered a gigantic wound to their building after a driver attempting to avoid a bicyclist overcorrected and went sailing through their wall. Not only was Glen's compromised, but apparently the entire immediate neighborhood was evacuated as the driver had also punctured a gas line. All in the midst of a pandemic. When it rains it pours. I hadn't heard of the event- despite it making local news (it happened in the summer of 2021) so I was very surprised to see that Glen's was marked as "permanently closed" online. I needed them to cut me some house keys back in October and was devastated that they'd potentially gone out of business. A quick call let me know that they weren't closed, the permanently closed message was something they were trying to get Google to correct. They were still in business, although they warned me that due to the accident, they were working out of the garage of their building That was two months ago, so I'm not entirely sure how things have developed since then. What I can say, is that my family and I have been coming to Glens for over a decade, and even as they worked through and around this horrendous event, they were as helpful and accommodating as ever. The staff here are kind, reliable, professional, and knowledgeable about what they do. There's a reason why they've stood the test of time, despite major companies now offering a myriad of key and lock services. They offer quick and fast service that never compromises quality in the process. I've had them cut keys numerous times. Most recently I came in with a pretty battered and skewed key that no longer opened my door. They were able to make copies, and voila! I was back in business. Their website details exactly what they offer, but in short, they specialize in key, lock, and safe. They service commercial, residential, security safes, and automotive. If you ever encounter an issue with locks and need a quick solution- Glen's is far and away the best choice in Salt Lake (and Utah at large- Glens also serves customers directly in Wyoming, Nevada, and Idaho) Affordable. Expeditious. Honest and Helpful, Glens goes above and beyond every time. Making them my first and only choice for key and lock service two decades and counting. read more

They have been life savers. From our home, cars, trailers & even a door key fob. Very friendly. Offer the best options for our key needs. A little more expensive than some hardware stores, but the keys always work. Unlike the hardware stores where you may have to take a few trips back to get the right cut(my experience). Glen's is our goto key store & recommended them to family, friends & neighbors. read more

I didn't buy anything here, but I have to write a 5 star review because of my awesome experience! My husband and I came in looking for a small gun safe. We talked to a nice employee named Chad who showed us various safes and explained their features. He was very knowledgeable and listened to our comments and concerns. After learning that we were looking for something fairly inexpensive and temporary for our small apartment, he recommended other stores in the area that would have what we were looking for. I was so impressed that he pointed us in the direction of another store, even if that meant we weren't giving him our business! Chad did a great job of showing us available products but also listening to our specific wants and needs and being honest. When we finally buy a bigger safe, we will be sure to buy it from Glen's! read more

These folks are AWESOME! Anytime we need Keyes we go to Glen's! They have their own parking lot and street parking. The folks here are very helpful and always have good suggestions. We have 1970 VW and very few key makers could cut these keys but not at Glen's and the keys we have had cut here always are cut to perfection. read more

Glen--what a guy! You want him on your side. And that's where he is as soon as you walk in his door. He can figure out anything. He enjoys everyone. His store is a hub for all of us with key troubles, for his staff, for our community. I Just bought a used car and had no end of trouble with keys, including right off losing the one and only key that came with the car. Glen promised to do everything he could to help. He even made me laugh at the terrible picture of having to tow the car to him and then his having to get inside, no telling how. I ended up laughing at the thought of all that.. And then finding that blessed key on the garage floor, as Glen promised I would. Then I ordered blanks on the internet and of course they didn't work. With smiling eyes, Glen directed me to a website that has blanks to match every car. Next problem: It wasn't possible to copy the single key that came with the car. Who the heck knows why or how. All we need to know is that Glen can and will fix it for you. AND make you smile for the whole rest of the day, Who else can make such a distressing situation into a grand joke. If only the dentist had his skills! Visit Glen and add another five stars to all those he already has. And richly deserves! read more

Marcelo did a great job, service was fast. He got me back into my apartment. Nice guy!

My truck was recently recovered after two weeks of being missing after being stolen. The perpetrators had access to my spare keys so they had a copy of the keys and didn't Hotwire my truck. I was referred to glens keys by Mark Miller Toyota. I went directly to glens keys from the impound yard from which I picked up my truck. The guys at glens keys were relatable and put me at ease during a stressful time. I was cared for by a team of chivalrous men! They were also very thorough and efficient. They finished my rekeying and remote controls quicker than I expected and they also charged me less than I expected. Henceforth this is where I am buying my keys etc. from. read more

I purchased an original manufacturers car key fob and took it to Glens Keys to get it programmed. When I picked it up it was not my fob, it was a cheap imitation without the cars insignia. When I brought it to their attention, they claimed I didn't give them an original and the one they gave back to me was the one I had given them. I asked to see the manager. He added insult to injury by arguing loudly that I had what I had given them and receipts proved nothing. He rudely overwhelmed the conversation, dismissing me by saying he saw no problem I received back what I brought in. read more

Great people! Tremendous service and good prices. Was in and out in less than 20 minutes and got exactly what I needed.

I've been using Glens Key for as long as I can remember. They are simply the best in the key and lock business. Always reliable and work for a fair price. Highly recommend them. read more

My first impression of this establishment is horrible. I received a quote from a member and went in to make my key purchase. There was a discrepancy in the prices that was quoted, and I would assume the manager or owner flipped out. Started yelling at me. Telling me that I wasn't reasonable and that the person who quoted me would get fired because of me. After his little flare-up, he told the guy that was helping me, " Do whatever! I don't care!" I don't know anything about keys or it's pricing, I just wanted a spare. He really needs angry management. The guy who was helping me apologize for his behavior and was very nice about it. They had to order the key. They didn't have the correct one. I came in a few days later to get my spare key. Another guy helped me out. Very fast and efficient. Great customer service of that individual. I do recommend this place. Just don't deal with the manager/owner. I do apologize for the rant. read more

My local locksmith folks finally closed down after a few decades so when I needed a whole new set of keys after a backpack theft I wasn't sure who could match some weird old keys. I walked into Glens during a busy Saturday afternoon, but was greeted promptly. I thought I'd have to come back to pick up the keys since they were busy, but I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. I was $25 for 6 new keys and 2 new keychains, and was on my way smashing out the rest of my spring cleaning to-do list in no time. Not only do I recommend them, but my Subaru key fob bit the dust today and I'm heading to Glens this week because I bet these guys can reprogram it. read more

Great people, excellent service. I needed a lock changed and I didn't have the keys. Called them towards the end of their day at 3PM and they were there within two hours. Guy who came out wore a mask and was friendly and super knowledgeable, a master at the craft. He was able to quickly pick the existing locks and rekey them. Very reasonably priced as well. I will happily use them again next time I'm in need of locksmith services. THANK YOU!! read more

Outstanding Company! I called Glen's to see about getting a deadbolt installed for our patio door and they sent a guy out the very same day! He looked at our door and determined that he was not able to install a deadbolt because there is a steel rod all the way up and down and the door can only be serviced by a Peachtree repair person (that will be a different review). When I made the appointment they quoted me a service call plus the cost for installation plus parts. After he told me he couldn't add the deadbolt he said no service charge! I said I was happy to pay for the service call but he wouldn't have it. He even lubed up a sticky doorknob to the garage because I suspect he loves what he does. We have plans to buy a small safe for important papers and you better believe we will be going to Glens. read more

I need an electric bike he replace that was damaged. It was a tricky key to fix and to duplicate. TIP: If you have to wait for your service, there is an awesome coffee shop up the road called Publik. Coffee and wifi to occupy your time! Anyways, something was wrong with the lock on my car door. Luckily they called in less than an hour and had my lock and key all fixed up! Works perfectly now. Thanks for the ease of service!! read more

Glens Keys not only make keys they are our family in this community. They went above and beyond insuring my father in law who is elderly and has memory problems with a delicate situation. Took my bike in after locking my shackle on my bike and losing the key. I wanted them to try to pick it but felt pressured into paying them to cut my $100 lock off and nicking the paint job on my $3000 bike. Fortunately it isn't carbon or I would be out even more cash. I'm sure they are fine for residential and commercial door locks but I wouldn't ask them to do anything else. read more

These guys were busy on my first and only visit but somehow they got right to work on my issue. I had them pick a lock - it took maybe 5 minutes and then I was told "no charge". I felt bad so I had them cut/copy a key just to throw some cheddar their way. I'll definitely look these guys up again next time I need their services! read more

I bought a truck bed shell without any keys and needed them made.
