I went in today to get several copies of a key made, and also planned to inquire about having a electronic keypad lock installed in a non-profit I volunteer for. I was informed that the internet was down, and I could either pay cash or leave my credit card information and they would bill me later. This is something I am not comfortable doing. I stated that I was just up the street and would come back, and asked if they had any idea of how long it would be? I am not comfortable leaving credit info, no matter how honest a business is. The manager/owner guy said (quote) "I don't work for Google dude, I have no idea, I am just running a shop here!" Very loud and arrogant tone. That is not the best response if you want to keep my business. I thanked them and left. I have used Glen's Keys fairly often over the last few years, but will find another key shop now! I was referred by Ace Hardware because my Car Key was special and I called Glen's the same day. Roger helped me out and was very nice and quick with his job. First things first, earlier this year Glens was the victim of a truly unfortunate accident. They suffered a gigantic wound to their building after a driver attempting to avoid a bicyclist overcorrected and went sailing through their wall. Not only was Glen's compromised, but apparently the entire immediate neighborhood was evacuated as the driver had also punctured a gas line. All in the midst of a pandemic. When it rains it pours. I hadn't heard of the event- despite it making local news (it happened in the summer of 2021) so I was very surprised to see that Glen's was marked as "permanently closed" online. I needed them to cut me some house keys back in October and was devastated that they'd potentially gone out of business. A quick call let me know that they weren't closed, the permanently closed message was something they were trying to get Google to correct. They were still in business, although they warned me that due to the accident, they were working out of the garage of their building That was two months ago, so I'm not entirely sure how things have developed since then. What I can say, is that my family and I have been coming to Glens for over a decade, and even as they worked through and around this horrendous event, they were as helpful and accommodating as ever. The staff here are kind, reliable, professional, and knowledgeable about what they do. There's a reason why they've stood the test of time, despite major companies now offering a myriad of key and lock services. They offer quick and fast service that never compromises quality in the process. I've had them cut keys numerous times. Most recently I came in with a pretty battered and skewed key that no longer opened my door. They were able to make copies, and voila! I was back in business. Glen--what a guy! You want him on your side. And that's where he is as soon as you walk in his door. He can figure out anything. He enjoys everyone. His store is a hub for all of us with key troubles, for his staff, for our community. I Just bought a used car and had no end of trouble with keys, including right off losing the one and only key that came with the car. Glen promised to do everything he could to help. He even made me laugh at the terrible picture of having to tow the car to him and then his having to get inside, no telling how. I ended up laughing at the thought of all that.. And then finding that blessed key on the garage floor, as Glen promised I would. Then I ordered blanks on the internet and of course they didn't work. With smiling eyes, Glen directed me to a website that has blanks to match every car. Next problem: It wasn't possible to copy the single key that came with the car. Who the heck knows why or how. All we need to know is that Glen can and will fix it for you. AND make you smile for the whole rest of the day, Who else can make such a distressing situation into a grand joke. I didn't buy anything here, but I have to write a 5 star review because of my awesome experience! My husband and I came in looking for a small gun safe. We talked to a nice employee named Chad who showed us various safes and explained their features. He was very knowledgeable and listened to our comments and concerns. After learning that we were looking for something fairly inexpensive and temporary for our small apartment, he recommended other stores in the area that would have what we were looking for. I was so impressed that he pointed us in the direction of another store, even if that meant we weren't giving him our business! Chad did a great job of showing us available products but also listening to our specific wants and needs and being honest. My truck was recently recovered after two weeks of being missing after being stolen. The perpetrators had access to my spare keys so they had a copy of the keys and didn't Hotwire my truck. I was referred to glens keys by Mark Miller Toyota. I went directly to glens keys from the impound yard from which I picked up my truck. The guys at glens keys were relatable and put me at ease during a stressful time. I was cared for by a team of chivalrous men! They were also very thorough and efficient. I purchased an original manufacturers car key fob and took it to Glens Keys to get it programmed. When I picked it up it was not my fob, it was a cheap imitation without the cars insignia. When I brought it to their attention, they claimed I didn't give them an original and the one they gave back to me was the one I had given them. I asked to see the manager. He added insult to injury by arguing loudly that I had what I had given them and receipts proved nothing. He rudely overwhelmed the conversation, dismissing me by saying he saw no problem I received back what I brought in. read more

My first impression of this establishment is horrible. I received a quote from a member and went in to make my key purchase. There was a discrepancy in the prices that was quoted, and I would assume the manager or owner flipped out. Started yelling at me. Telling me that I wasn't reasonable and that the person who quoted me would get fired because of me. After his little flare-up, he told the guy that was helping me, " Do whatever! I don't care!" I don't know anything about keys or it's pricing, I just wanted a spare. He really needs angry management. The guy who was helping me apologize for his behavior and was very nice about it. They had to order the key. They didn't have the correct one. I came in a few days later to get my spare key. Another guy helped me out. Very fast and efficient. Great customer service of that individual. I do recommend this place. Just don't deal with the manager/owner. I do apologize for the rant. read more

My local locksmith folks finally closed down after a few decades so when I needed a whole new set of keys after a backpack theft I wasn't sure who could match some weird old keys. I walked into Glens during a busy Saturday afternoon, but was greeted promptly. I thought I'd have to come back to pick up the keys since they were busy, but I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. I was $25 for 6 new keys and 2 new keychains, and was on my way smashing out the rest of my spring cleaning to-do list in no time. I need an electric bike he replace that was damaged. It was a tricky key to fix and to duplicate. The knowledgeable staff gave me two keys because they were unsure if there one would work and I did not have the bike with me. They only charged me for one however. TIP: If you have to wait for your service, there is an awesome coffee shop up the road called Publik. Coffee and wifi to occupy your time! Anyways, something was wrong with the lock on my car door. Took my bike in after locking my shackle on my bike and losing the key. I wanted them to try to pick it but felt pressured into paying them to cut my $100 lock off and nicking the paint job on my $3000 bike. Fortunately it isn't carbon or I would be out even more cash. I'm sure they are fine for residential and commercial door locks but I wouldn't ask them to do anything else. read more

Outstanding Company! I called Glen's to see about getting a deadbolt installed for our patio door and they sent a guy out the very same day! He looked at our door and determined that he was not able to install a deadbolt because there is a steel rod all the way up and down and the door can only be serviced by a Peachtree repair person (that will be a different review). When I made the appointment they quoted me a service call plus the cost for installation plus parts. After he told me he couldn't add the deadbolt he said no service charge! I said I was happy to pay for the service call but he wouldn't have it. He even lubed up a sticky doorknob to the garage because I suspect he loves what he does. We have plans to buy a small safe for important papers and you better believe we will be going to Glens. read more

I bought a truck bed shell without any keys and needed them made. A worker named Chad quickly and efficiently made me new keys, helped me troubleshoot some of the janky locks and saved me some money by disassembling and cleaning one of the locking mechanisms so I didn't have to replace it.
