The part I prepaid seem expensive, but... I agreed, he came back and that price had doubled... After all was said and done the total I paid was $981.88! YIKES! I contacted Emtek and asked them for the MSRP of the product they installed. The MSRP for the unit from the factory is $311! Saggi called me immediately after I spoke to Elite's dispatch. Saggi was polite and indicated he could meet me in about 30 minutes. He asked me about the problem and game me a range, below the original offer from Bob's.. which I respect considering he had to look at the lock. He ended up calling me back apologizing for the short delay and even apologized again when he arrived. He was able to get me back into my storage door in no time and provided a few recommendations how to better secure my door. Told her that they'd charge anywhere between $40-$50 and it would be quick so she could get the baby out. This guy saw a mother in distress and COMPLETELY took advantage of her and her state of panic. This guy pops the lock in mere seconds, then says she owes him $160, but had to use some specific app to pay him. She said she only had Venmo, so he says, "okay, Venmo me, but now the price is $250, because she couldn't use the app!?!?! You're thinking the same as me, "why didn't she download the app?" Well the stress of having the baby locked inside and the whole experience had her head running in circles, so she just paid him what he demanded. The REAL question is, "why was it even $160 to open something so simple???" This company is 100% pure shady and despicable. As an Elite Yelper, I dislike writing horrible 1-star review, but THIS is a company that I want to make SURE that people read about or think twice before calling. This company truly deserves NEGATIVE stars and I hope they contact me directly so they can refund my sister in law 100%.
