Told us it would be an hour before we could get our food. Felt very unwelcome from out of town. We left.

I would've given a five star review but the service was very slow and 2 stars at best. It could have been more prompt and efficient. We waited for seven minutes before our first acknowledgement by our waiter/ server. It was just my girlfriend and myself. Once the waiter finally came to the table and took our order a lot time had lapse. Never once did come to ask how the food was once our main entrée was delivered. He asked how everything was when he presented the check. During the wait for him to return to the table to take our dessert order, there was a bus boy at the nearby table clearing another table. I asked him to take a plate that was left on our table and he said that the servers job I don't do that. I told him no you need to take it now and he gave me a rather rude look and stare. The intervals from which the waiter came back to the table was very long. It would've helped if the chairs had been padded but they were hard with like school room chairs. The dining room was decorated very nice and the decor and artwork is very tasteful. Music was a little loud. The food was exceptionally good from the appetizer to the main course to our dessert. It was exceptional. That is five stars ONLY - The service really was a lot to be desired for a good tip and review.

Great seasoning and crispy covering, and perfect size! The spinach dip was also amazing and came with a lot of bread! Server was very nice and said the piccata was his grandmothers recipe! A very stand-up establishment in the historical town of Old Vincennes. Located off the banks of…read morethe Wabash River and nestled into the epicenter of what is the first "Main Street" in Indiana... ... This quaint Diner offers up the general fare you would expect from a divey-diner experience, but elevated. From the exquisite breakfasts, to beef manhattan lunches. You may also, want to choose from a wide array of delectable homemade pies, ahhh... The owners and staff are beautiful people that pour their souls into the food, and are there daily. Get there at a decent time during their posted hours though... If not, you'll miss out on the food you want, because everything is made to order, and so fresh, they don't waste any "thyme" with leftovers. A small secret... if you have a sweet tooth... Tell Chris, the owner, that your "Food tasted as good as Tom Brady's loving eyes look" & you'll be rewarded with a free piece of Pie!!! Gosh, oh golly, I love this place!

The main reason I want to review this place is because it was SO cheap. I mean, you could eat here three times a week for the price of going to any other restaurant once per week. Most of the breakfast dishes were like...$5 or under. Serious deals for this kind of food, not something you see these days. I appreciated this diner for being one of few restaurants that just serves bare bones, basic food for cheap.
