If I could give 0 stars I would. The front desk woman, Mahera, I'm sure I spelt that wrong, was so incredibly condescending, rude and unprofessional. My room was canceled by them without any notice or consent from me and they refused to give my money back and resold my room! I needed the same card I booked the room with so I needed to go get it and because we" left" they considered that canceling even though I said I would need to come with the correct card. No mention of cancellation to me when we were there, no call to say they were canceling the room. I called about 3 times and she would refuse to get me a manager. We have been staying in this hotel 5 days a week for almost a whole month already. Yup you read it right. We pretty much live here now because of the proximity of our work to the hotel. We live about 2 hours away from the office and so the best decision so far is stay in Glendale Hotel which is about 2 miles away from work. It is not a 4 star hotel but the kindness they showed us so far makes up for the lack of amenities. All we needed was a place to crash after a long day at work. The room is cozy and clean. Some rooms that we stayed in before smelled like "joint" but the other rooms did not. We usually stay at the suite room (one bed with a small living room on the other side). This is almost like a studio apartment, if I may say. Each room has enough storage, small fridge and microwave. There is ample parking. Safe neighborhood. Very close by to restaurants, grocery stores, shopping center and the freeway. I can even walk to Target and to Ralph's if I wanted to. For the asian folks, Jollibee, Seafood City, Arko and Chow King are just a "tumbling" away. (Only filipinos will understand what tumbling meant in our lingo" hahahaha !!! No breakfast ... nothing fancy ... BUT they have free coffee. Yup !!! The coffee vending machine has lots of options. So for those who are into coffees, I'd prefer going down to the lobby to get a fresh one as opposed to having a dingy coffee machine in the room. You will thank yourself later after you come here for a stay. TV is small but we have our gadgets anyway, right? If you get bored, the movie theaters are close by. Yes, there is a "rude" front desk lady (which thankfully we only see a few days in a week). Never mind that individual though. The rest of the staff makes up for that one bad apple. I will not give a 3 star review because of the run in with one staff. The others have been kind to us so far. We do love "Johnny" (we are kinda partial to him because he let me have extra towels when the other staff questioned me why I am asking for extra towels for a 4 night stay...lols !!!) plus .... He is so perfect for this job. He'll make you feel like you are staying at a 5 star hotel with the way he treats the guests. He is also very well put together physically. The only thing missing is the suit and you will definitely feel like you are at the Ritz. Look for Johnny when you come over. Kudos to Prab ... she is also the sweetest !!! (I hope I spelled her name correctly). Very friendly !!! The morning manager is also very kind and attentive, as well. We had to file a guest complaint and she handled the issue pretty well and so collected. When I request for bed turn down, she always makes sure that it is done. Good job lady manager !!! The cleaning people does a great job., too. They would always accommodate us and they are doing their best in the upkeep of the room. We had 3 bad incidents with that one person. I wonder though if I was talking about the same person that the other guest mentioned in the reviews. We all have to give the person the benefit of the doubt and allowed bad incidents to happen. But then after the 3rd incident....it is a strike !!! It was time for the "honest" complain. As of writing, we have not spoken to her yet. Honestly though, she should not be working at a place like this. Her personality exudes of sarcasm and she is not fit to be in front. Maybe she can just stay inside the office doing some admin stuff but please not the front desk. I am sure she will do a great job in the office. Needless to stay, we are still happy with our decision to stay here. We would not stay at another hotel anymore (we used to book xilo hotel). I just hope they have this frequent customer program because we would definitely benefit from that. Well,There were bad reviews in the past and very little good reviews. Who needs negative posts though ... let us focus on the good ones. Y'all have to believe my post because of the number of days that we have been in this hotel. We stayed there Saturday night. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and plenty of free coffee and flavored water. Staff is friendly and attentive. Engaged in conversation whilst checking us in. Beautiful reception area with a mezzanine level. Only thing is that they have limited parking, which fills up fast--small car recommend--unfortunately I had my truck, and was able to park, but it was a tight squeeze. This is not their fault, rather poor planning by the architect or just limited space as you get closer to L.A. When I made a booking last week, ten other groups and I were waiting for over two hours to see if any employee would arrive and no one did. Very creepy! I would give zero if I could. Very poor customer service. They have a person as a receptionist who was loading a vending machine when I walked in. Thought language barrier make it hard for him to communicate but he sure has some anger issues that needs to be managed. And I'm saying this as a professional who is working with PTSD patients on a daily basis. He threatened me that he is going to make it difficult for me. He kept repeating "I'm going to make it difficult for you trust me". Stay away from this place at all cost. My partner and I decided to come to the Glendale hotel because of its great price and its distance from lots of attractions. But NOT all that glitters is gold. Upon arrival there was a huge line at check in because they have a new "social distancing kiosk"keep in mind there is only one kiosk for multiple guests. We had to wait 20+ minutes to even check in. The room was OK and we had a comfortable nights sleep but while we were showering just before check out front desk had came and walked in on us. Shouldn't they know that we are still in the room before coming in they didn't even knock. We were both undressed. It seems multiple people have ran into this issue. Multiple guests had come back down to the main lobby because they had walked in on people as well. There is some kind of miscommunication and it is not OK. I have so much to say about my stay. First of all upon entering our room we uncovered the sheets and found a pubic hair on our bed! Then discovered that the phone in the room doesn't even work. I was planning in ironing my clothes and the iron didn't even heat up and the iron was missing a part and spilled water everywhere.On top of all that I came back to my room after a long day and the room wasn't clean. Your safety doesn't matter! My room on the first floor had a broken window that didn't lock, staff's response 'we have cameras', my safety didn't matter! I was forced to create my own lock using a hanger and the rooms mini ironing board! The TV had a remote for another room and failed to consistently operate. Make sure to bring ear plugs, the AC sounds like a bus in your room, staff's response 'email the manager'. The room is large with two-thirds of the room occupied by a shower and jacuzzi with a note 'conserve water'. First off I want to say that the cleaning crew and the maintenance is nice. But, this hotel is disappointing. First off they charge 10 dollars a night for a car, $15 a night for a 2nd car. You have a pull out bed as the 2nd bed, but they don't have any extra blankets or pillows. Lastly, dirty water started coming out of our tub. I asked the front desk if we can have our room switch because we have a wedding to get ready for, but they would not accommodate. Wasted our time waiting for them to fix this problem. I took a look at your website and noticed that you added the words "parking is available for a small fee". First of all, I wouldn't consider $15/night a small fee and an additional $20/night for a 2nd car. That's $35/night extra. If you truly wanted to be transparent then you would clearly state the fee on your homepage and in your FAQs instead of deceiving people by calling it a small fee. If you were serious on not deceiving people then you would be totally transparent regarding this questionable charge that no one else is doing in other hotels/motels within the LA area. I find that your hidden parking fee charge to be quite sketchy and you even have proven so by slightly modifying your website stating that there is a small fee but do not disclose what that fee is right away. You don't even include an * so people can look up the fine print on this fee. Besides, what added value are you providing for this fee? I did not see a security guard patrolling the parking area nor did I notice any security cameras surveiling the vehicles. The gate was kept wide open so anyone can just drive right through the parking lot. Seems like a bogus charge to me. read more

The AC in our room wasn't working efficiently and it was a little hot in our room but it was bearable. Our stay was actually going perfectly fine until the morning when we accidentally woke up 15 min late for checkout and the front desk staff decided to unlock our door and walk in. BEWARE OF DECEPTIVE ROOM PHOTOS and LACK OF QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE ! Booked (2) standard - 2 Queen rooms. Room photos on multiple reservation sites (ex: Hotels.com; Expedia) show photos of the room INCLUDING a separate area with a couch and table. Was just informed by hotel front desk during a call re: adjoining rooms, that the only rooms with a separate sitting area and couch are the 1Q suite and 1K suite rooms. When I asked how can we resolve this and get the 4 beds needed for our group and the sitting area since we reserved the rooms 3mos in advance and they clearly advertise a couch in the 2 Queen room; I was told I could cancel and re-reserve the single queen or king suites. THAT WOULD COST OVER TWICE THE AMOUNT we already paid for the rooms we reserved that were ALREADY supposed to have a couch and sitting area!! I asked what would have been done to remedy the situation if I hadn't called about a different issue and showed up expecting the 2Q with sitting area I paid for. He just kept repeating that the 2Q does not have a separate sitting area and we could keep the rooms we had or cancel and find accommodations elsewhere that suited our need. He totally missed the point. You can't advertise a room with photos of a couch and sitting area, charge someone for a 2Q room with sitting area, then say "oh the 2Q rooms don't have a sitting area" and the only resolution is to cancel and tell a guest to either pay twice as much or go elsewhere. That's horrible business practices!!! Very nasty and oblivious front desk staff. He numerous times had to ask a housekeeper for answers to every question I had re: our stay. I asked if there was someone else I could talk to because he seemed new, which was ok, but i was beginning to realize nothing was matching what we reserved. He said "No" and that he had other customers and hung up without even saying good-by. Horrible customer service!!! Feel they could have at least offered to substitute one of the 2 Queen rooms to 2 single Queen rooms with sitting area since I explained I truly only HAD TO HAVE one of the rooms include a sitting area. ** I'm staying in my room with 2 teenagers and we are all going to be trying to get ready for concerts. This is about the most affordable hotel in Glendale that is safe and clean. Inside the hotel is pretty clean and the rooms are decent for what it is. All the other hotels/motels in this area that are significantly cheaper are pretty run down with shady characters roaming free in the parking lots. Smoking and pets are prohibited in the room and that's always a plus for me. No left behind dog fur or the reeking smell of cigarettes could be found in my room. The air conditioner in my room wasn't exactly the greatest, but I slept comfortably protected from the hot air outside. Another plus is the parking lot gates that surround the hotel lock at 2am which is a nice touch for added security. read more

For a 2 stars hotel, it is a perfect place to stop by for a couple of nights. Located in a very nice quite location. All the stores are relatively close by. I would come here again if in the area. There's a reason why this hotel is so cheap. Front desk isnt friendly and very rude. They can't fix anything unless there's a manager available. I checked in on Saturday and front desk told me no manager until Monday afternoon. My check out is Monday morning. Pretty convenient. Not sure if staff if new or just doesn't know how to do their jobs. Rooms are old and loud. Musty smell. Would not recommend. Would much rather pay a few extra bucks for something more updated and a staff that is better trained. Bathroom wasn't the best. Made me feel grossed out to use it. Warning! Please DO NOT stay here. I booked a room for Friday night and was shocked to see what I found in my room. When I first got there, the front desk person was rude and very intimidating. He assigned my room and I quietly proceeded to my room. Once I got to the room, it had a very moldy smell. I put my luggage down and sit on the chair. Suddenly, my eyes darted to the corner of the room where I a saw a huge cockroach moving. I ran outside and told the front desk person and he called the manager. I did get a refund back but OH BOY! This has always been our go to when visiting. The new owners have made nice changes to the rooms. My biggest complaint would be taking a shower in cold water not happy about other family members would not get in the cold water. Came in. Easy parking. Front Desk Niir was courteous and helpful. Went to my room and it was clean. Very surprised the jacuzzi and the shower were big. Everything worked, tv, jacuzzi, shower and lights. Everything is also close by if you want to do any tourist activities. If you are sensitive to noise I recommend the top floor. I could really hear the upstairs foot traffic. But it doesn't bother me too much. Convenient grocery store and restaurants are walking distance. Will definitely stay here again. read more

Great value for your money. I found this hotel on Expedia after deciding to take a chance before booking with my specific hotel rewards app. Price was was lower than all others in the area. Parking was extra but reasonable. Rooms were clean & newly renovated. Staff was nice & offered me options on what rooms I would like. Free assorted coffee machine & sparkling water in lobby. I would just suggest a couple more pillows on the beds. This is now my go to hotel when taking my son to Universal. read more
