Our stay at Hyatt Place Glendale was awesome. Location is close to restaurants and shops. The hotel is 20 minutes away from Universal Studios, which is why we stayed there. The room was clean with nice decor. Dustin was a friendly and very helpful first contact person in the valet department. I liked the texting system to get your car. The pool was kind of small, but my kids still had a good time. You have to pay extra for the breakfast and valet is pricey. Your other parking option is a shady parking lot behind the hotel. Overall, a great place to stay when you're in the area.

I Wish That I Had More Time to Speak Glowingly about this Shiny Gem of a Hotel, and it's Incredibly Friendly and Attentive Staff, so I'll primarily share some photos, with captions. From the moment I called the hotel, after I made my reservation, to my helpful departure, I knew that this would be the perfect place to use as a base to visit several locations in Beverly Hills, Beautiful Downtown Burbank, and of course, Dodger Stadium, at a reasonable cost! Our Room was Shiny Clean, and the Manager, Jorge (George), made sure that our stay was nothing short of PERFECT! Hat's off to the entire Valet Staff, and Front Desk Associates!

Our stay here was, in a word, fantastic! Some of the highlights: - Parking: we chose the hotel's Valet Parking. It cost about the same as self-parking in a nearby garage but probably quicker and safer. The staff were on top of their game as far as customer service; you went online to request your car /pay for the service. - The Gym: cozy. They had a wall switch to control the volume of the piped-in music, and disposable headphones to go with the Pelatron machine that offered free membership! - Pool! Small. But heated (it felt like it anyway) with an open roof plan. It opened at 6am; I was there, and I felt like an 80's commercial for cologne, like the world was just waking up and I was the only one awake, (if that makes any sense!). - Rooms: we had the two queens, one pull-out sofa, and one bathroom. Beds were amazingly comfortable. Small fridge, microwaves were available upon request; first come, first served. We asked for ours early. - Breakfast: it was all in the presentation! The food was decent as well. - Pet Friendly: they had a place for dogs but not sure if it was for service dogs or not. - Location: a decent area of downtown, lots of restaurants and stores within walking distance. Very nice. Recommended, for sure!

We had a very pleasant stay here last weekend, we were in LA visiting family for a graduation. It always has been our place of choice for us due to its proximity to the Americana Mall (short walk) there is also a CVS right across the street that's open until 12am for anything you need. Aside from a spacious and clean room, they provided enough towels and we had no issues with water pressure even though our room was on the 10th floor. Their staff are very nice and welcoming. We only stayed 2 nights but we didn't encounter any issues. Special thanks to Denise at the front desk for a very smooth check out despite being there at the desk early for an early check out she was very accommodating and has a smile on her face at 7am on a Monday. Breakfast has good options and we like how they present the breakfast plates and the coffee and tea station are in a different section. Compared to other hotels our first morning that we were there to have breakfast it was 30 minutes to close but they still have plenty of food left, they are very prompt on filling up the food making sure that everybody has something to grab. The only con at this place would be parking, which is probably always a problem to any other hotel in LA. Valet would cost you 38$ a night. So, we just tried our luck and look for a place to park on the streets nearby for a short walk for 0$ with a bit of exercise. We would love to be back again and make this our second home base since we have family close by.

Went to a Lakers game in Downtown LA and picked this mid-point to drive to Burbank the next day. Crypto Arena is 12 miles from this hotel - took 30+ mins in traffic. Hotel is walking distance to Americana and Glendale Galleria so lots of good eats around. Didn't valet (driveway is so tight and slow valet anyway), parked in the city parking structure behind the hotel. This is typical/ standard Hyatt Place with a king + sofabed + hot breakfast. Clean and spacious room and strong water pressure. Frustrating to see only 1 person manning the front desk around rush hour check out time 11-12nn. It only takes 1 family with lots of questions for the front desk and slow valet to clog the lobby.... It's an OK use of points for a Saturday night .

Wow! A great stay even though I was here only one night, I wish I booked for longer! This is an absolute gem of a location with a low traffic mall a literal 5 minute walk away. As a Discoverist, I was so happy to check in early after such a long flight and was even more impressed that everyone at check in was very pleasant and kind. I love the fresh coffee, tea and water station as it adds a great touch! The view from my room was absolutely amazing as well! Great Hyatt!

Stayed here for a couple nights while visiting Super Nintendo World since I got a pretty nice deal on Hotwire. Staying here was an easy uber ride to and from the park, and we didn't have to deal with the hassle of parking. Hotel was a great location in downtown Glendale. Lots of stuff to walk to, and there were a couple restaurants super close if you barely want to walk at all. Easy uber from Burbank airport, too. Breakfast is always great at Hyatt Places. We were able to grab some food to go for the park, which was nice. I wish they still had sandwiches, but they didn't seem to when we were there. They had fancy cucumber water out all day, and they had a pretty impressive bar if you like to drink. Bed was comfy and the room had a decent sized fridge. The shower was just okay and the room itself had some cooling issues, but it was relatively minor. No noise issues to speak of, and I'm a pretty light sleeper. Plenty of outlets and modern conveniences in the bedroom. They have a VERY spacious lobby if you need it.

Also to add to the answer....the breakfasts are great! I ate there every day last week. They don't over do it; but just enough variety.

Love their lobby as they have a koi pond which the kids can feed in Tuesdays. They have a great made-to-order continental breakfast. They also have an awesome happy hour of 2 complimentary drinks to go along with some snacks like popcorn, chips, nuts, etc. Staff were all friendly and helpful when needed. The parking is underground. A little inconvenient as the parking elevator is separate from the room elevators. Also it felt like only 1 or 2 of the elevators were working. Ice machine was only located on the 2nd floor. Would've been nice if there was one at every floor or more than just 1 floor. Also the drink vending machine was always sold out. These are why I dropped 1 star. But overall, my family and I really enjoyed this hotel for our vacation and will most likely be back for our next vacation in the area.

Let's cover the pros and cons: Pro #1: It's a pet-friendly hotel. It's not free to bring pets, and it's not cheap to bring your cat or dog, but it's not as bad as other places. Con #1: You have to pay $28 per day for self-parking in the lot underneath the hotel. I hate paying for parking at a hotel. Pro #2: They have complimentary breakfast and it's better than your typical continental breakfast at a hotel. There's an omelet station, scrambled eggs, bacon, pork sausage, pancakes or French toast (depending on the day), bread (bagels, English muffins, and toast), fruit, cereal, various pastries, yogurt, juice, tea, coffee, and more. Pretty solid. Con #2: There's a lot of noise as the hotel is located on a popular street in Glendale and it's close to the highway. At least my room was noisy. I had to wear earplugs each night (I'm a light sleeper). Pro #3: The rooms are suites so they're more spacious than your typical hotel room. There's a bedroom with a door and a nice living room area with a mini fridge and a microwave. Con #3: Some service snafus. I checked in digitally and I was supposed to have a virtual key card. It didn't work as there was an issue with the app. I requested some towels and they said they would bring them up to my room. They never did. I had to call back and they brought them up this time (though they brought a different number of towels than what I requested. Pro #4: They have a complimentary happy hour from 5:30-7:00 p.m. where each guest can get two alcoholic beverages (wells, beer, and wine). They also have some light bites such as chips and salsa/guac, pita bread and hummus, snack mix, or crostini (depending on the day). Con #4: The rooms are pretty clean and comfy, but they could be nicer. Case in point: an old hand towel was in between my mattress and the mattress box. All in all, a slightly above average experience. Without the expensive parking fees and lower pet fees, that would make a positive difference.

Honestly, everything would've been pretty mid except for that They only had one elevator working out of four possibilities for a hotel with I think 18 floors and very busy. Waiting for the elevator especially when you're on the 11th floor so if you have luggage using the stairs is not really an option. It truly made every time leaving or coming into the hotel a very annoying process to have to wait in a huge line then be smooshed in a gigantic queue for the elevator. Also, the gift shop was so overwhelmingly overpriced. A little pack of almonds like a couple ounces was 6-7 dollars. It's super close to Transit and also the Americana so that's really why we chose it for this particular location, parking was also really expensive but I used one of those parking apps to find something nearby for like $15 instead of paying well over $30 to park for a night, . Additionally, just walk your butt over to Trader Joe's across the street and grab some items instead of paying out the nose at the gift shop. Didn't eat any food there. I didn't have any problems with cleanliness of the rooms, yes, it was a little bit dated, but my main complaint was just It was really inexcusable to have three of the elevators out on a busy weekend with probably close to capacity crowd at the hotel. They should've had an emergency person coming in to fix the elevator on that day. There is an outdoor pool that's heated, it's set online. I think that there is a hot tub, but there is no such hot tub. So we didn't try the pool even though it was heated because I think we'd really just would've preferred a hot tub. I was able to use a peloton bike to work out which I appreciated, but there is no sauna. It's all locked up, even though it appears that there's a sauna, and some places online list the sauna, the sauna is not functional. The gym is quite large.

Check-in was quick and easy, which I always appreciate after a long day of traveling. There's plenty of parking in their garage. It's not free, but it's secure -- and honestly, I'd rather pay for peace of mind. The room itself was clean and had all the usual amenities you'd expect. Everything felt comfortable and well-maintained. The only issue we experienced was that the toilet overflowed. We notified the front desk, and while they were responsive and brought towels, we weren't moved to another room. It would have been a five-star experience if we had been swapped out, especially given the inconvenience. That said, we had already planned to step out and only came back to sleep for a few hours, so it wasn't a complete dealbreaker -- just a bit of a customer service miss in my opinion. Overall, the location, cleanliness, and ease of stay were solid. With a little more attentiveness in handling unexpected issues, this place would easily be a full five stars.

The clerk wasn't outright rude, but for the first several minutes seemed pretentious, like I wasn't good enough to stay there. He didn't introduce himself or ask my name; I introduced myself and asked his name after check-in, and he warmed up a bit. It felt like I'd caught him doing something wrong or arrived before he was ready. I had to ask multiple questions because he didn't offer information or engage. My customer service was on point--his, not so much. I'd been driving all day and was exhausted, wearing very casual clothes, but he felt very judgey. I asked to see the rooms after reading reviews. The first was rundown and not worth the $150 he quoted. He kept going into the back office between questions, implying he was busy or nearly full (there was only one car outside). When I asked to see the other side of the hotel, which had allegedly been updated, he bragged about being fully booked, though I only ever saw three cars. Odd. The second room was just okay, but I was too tired to find another hotel, so I stayed one night. Few things frustrate me more than visible neglect and lack of detail. There were drywall screw heads popping out, scuffed walls, holes, and water-damaged bathroom drywall from a poorly placed glass shower door--crumbling onto the floor. The floor itself was dirty. The outer entry door was peeling badly, shedding bits of clear coating onto the floor and my hands. The blinds appeared to not have been cleaned in months--which should be done regularly. The bed frame was filthy--dust, debris, bits of wrappers and food. It was clearly dirty, with oils, handprints, and dried liquids (I'll leave that to your imagination). The closet doors, off-white, had visible hand grime. The disinfectant wipes I used were brown - yuck. The lamp was dusty, an outlet near the bed had a broken metal piece stuck inside, and both the bathroom vent and hair dryer were caked with dust. The dryer filter hadn't been cleaned in ages. The countertop above the mini fridge was detaching, the bathroom shelf was decaying, and the shower glass hadn't been cleaned. The creamy drip marks on the wall--hopefully conditioner or soap--remained, and the grout was mold-stained. A simple bleach spray would've fixed it. The shower water pressure was awful, with calcification that needs vinegar soaking. It also leaked from the stem. Meanwhile, the sink had too much pressure. The cleaning staff were wonderful--always offering help. The issues here clearly stem from management, not staff. I realize this isn't a four-star hotel and that my standards are higher than average. Having worked in property management and emergency response, I've been in many homes across all conditions and know what "clean" should look like. I attached photos (which don't even capture all of it) so others can decide for themselves. Public beds and showers should be cleaned frequently so dust, germs, and bugs don't build up. The initial clerk did warm up by the end, and wasn't outright rude, just awkward and pretentious at first. When I checked out, a different man was working. He was extremely pushy, insisting I stay longer despite me saying I had to get back on the road. Then he handed me a clipboard and said it was mandatory to fill out--a sheet listing my name, room number, and space for comments, stacked under previous guests' notes. I told him I'd review the hotel online instead. He insisted I fill in each section, so under "comments" I wrote "review on Yelp." Other than being pushy, he was friendly--but it was an annoying end to a stay that wasn't worth the cost. Not the worst stay I've had, but definitely not one I'd repeat.

Last night, I saw a young woman enter the hotel clearly under the influence alongside a young man. At first, I assumed they were together, but something about the situation felt off. The young man seemed to be following her and trying to control the interaction while insisting she was "fine" and didn't need help. What stood out to me was that Joy did not simply take his word for it. She stepped in, calmly took control of the situation, and continued checking on the young woman despite the man trying to speak over her. After some back and forth, I heard Joy directly ask the young woman if she knew the man. Shockingly, the young woman said no. At that moment, Joy immediately asked the man to step away and questioned why he claimed to know her and why he was following her. Once confronted, the man left. From what I witnessed, the young woman was then safely escorted and able to recover in safety. As a bystander, I cannot express how much respect I have for Joy. In today's world, many people would have ignored the situation or brushed it off as people "just having fun." Instead, Joy trusted her instincts and potentially protected that woman from a very dangerous situation. Because of her attentiveness and courage, that young woman was able to safely wake up without a stranger in her room or something far worse happening to her. Watching this unfold honestly made me feel safer staying at this property. Employees like Joy are rare, and the Conrad should be incredibly grateful to have someone so observant, compassionate, and proactive representing their hotel. On behalf of that young woman and as someone who witnessed everything unfold, thank you, Joy, for stepping in when it mattered most. The world needs more people like you. Keep up the amazing work.
