I wrote a review a while back, which was not a good one. It was about X-rays that were shown to me, showing that my teeth were full of cavities, & cracks in the crowns. But my teeth were in perfect condition. The X-rays were put in the room I was in were put there by mistake. I do not fault Dr. Stanfield for this. Dr. Stanfield is a nice, caring Dr. that does good work & he has always taken care of my teeth & done right by me. I have gone to him for many years. He was not there the day this happened. It was my fault for not saying anything to the tech about the X-rays at the time. So I am at fault for not bringing the x-rays to the attention of the dental tech there at the time. I've been coming here for a few years now and I've typically had a positive experience, however my recent experience will be my last at this office. I had a crown with a chip in it. I had zero pain. Dr. Stanfield said I'd probably need to get it replaced in the near future because it could chip more. It sounded like the proactive thing to do, so I did it. (turns out, my insurance has a crown allotment an I maxed out, but the office dint inform me of this until AFTER so my insurance didn't cover it) During my visit, the tech was nice, but seemed inexperienced. She was dropping things and having to sanitize them. While shaping my temporary tooth, she lost control and it flew across the room. This was a little deal at the time. Days later, my pain wouldn't go away. It took 2 weeks for my permanent to come in and I had to be the one calling to ask since I was in intense pain. I was taking ibuprofen 800 around the clock. I told reception about my tooth flying and she said "oh, she was a temp". I went in after a week with my permanent crown to get it adjusted to see if it helped, but it didn't. I also waited an hour in the chair before being seen. Doctor eventually referred me to get a root canal. I wish I never replaced my crown to begin with. I went from zero pain to intense pain for 5 weeks until my root canal and forking over more money. Apparently my root is "sensitive"... it's doesn't add up. This is the worst dental pain I've ever experienced. As a patient, I did expect an apology from reception or the doctor about my poor experience with the dental tech and a more timely follow up with the pain I was having. Dr. Stanfield did eventually call after 4 weeks and then suggested a referral to an endodontic specialist. I appreciated that because at this point, I lost total trust in everyone at this facility. Glendale Gentle Dentistry know how to run a dental office. I'm not a fan of going to the dentist and hate pain. Dr Stanfield and his very capable dental assistants and staff are simply great at what they do. From setting up the appointment to assessing the needed work on my teeth, they were friendly, engaging and used the latest equipment. They are very good at putting you at ease. The modern office was spotless and orderly. Miss Kennedy and Miss Tracy answered all of my questions and concerns and made sure I left fully informed. It is easy to understand why they have a constant flow of patients. How could they improve? I don't know, expresso bar? I highly recommend this office if you are seeking dental care. read more

When I tell you this place is amazing.... I truly mean it. An extraction, some fillings and now I've moved forward with veneers.... Dr. McHale has answered every question I've had AND even attended to me when I had what I consider an emergency with my temp veneers. The entire staff is friendly the hygienist is awesome and this comes from a person who avoided the dentist for YEARS. I am absolutely impressed with this office. Staff is amazing and Dr Phillip is a nice and genuine person. I have bad anxiety when it comes to dentist offices - and was very clear about this when I came in for a visit. Everyone was extremely accommodating and compassionate. Each person I met with asked if I was ok. We set up a signal for me to use of things got to much for me to handle and when I used it - the procedure stopped, they give me a few minutes to regroup and made sure I was 100% ready to go when before starting again. I was given a blanket to use and a stress ball to hold. This office is the real deal. read more

Dr. Kris is far beyond the rest of all the dentist in arizona, i had a fear about Dentist's all my childhood life... I am 59 yrs old, Dr Kris was a life saver for me, I had to get dentures and it was over 2 yrs ago, never had a issue till this day and my dentures feel so natural to me, He is awesome i would highly recommend this Dentist he is so compassionate and understands about people with fear, i was the most fearful person that he had to deal with.. It's certainly not the fanciest dentist's office. In fact, it's housed in a one-time shopping mall - turned collection of county and state services offices. The waiting area is a bit sparse, the equipment, somewhat dated. No digital imagery here, just old school films. But the staff is very professional, and do an excellent job with what they have. They don't push you to get a bunch of treatments you don't want or need. It wasn't suggested to me once that I needed a "deep cleaning" or a whitening, or Invisilign. I had some x-rays done, then after some waiting (someone forgot to tell the dentist I was ready - d'oh!), had a quick exam. Dr. Iganian was thorough, and did a good job of explaining what I needed and why. Then I had probably the most painless cleaning I've ever had. Oh, and if you are scared of the dentist (I'm not), this is the place to go. They will knock your TF out with drugs! The lady in the exam room next to mine was totally sawing logs. read more

I have been to several dentist in my lifetime and without question Dr. Kris Igannian (very professional) and his staff is definitely the very best I have been to. 2 years ago I had a mismatched crown from a previous dentist in Phoenix who I would prefer not to recommend . I can't say enough good things about GGD. I've been a Patient for years, and have NEVER had a bad experience. Recently I had issues with a crown that had given me trouble, it was redone (Gratis) and 18 months later it flared up and abscessed. I didn't have an appointment but Dr. Kris Iganian worked me in to the busy morning schedule and performed a root canal. Now, I'm sure there aren't too many people that would rate a "root canal" as good experience, as most know they are usually a "below average" situation, but Dr. Kris and his good-natured staff, including the EXTRAORDINARY office staff, made my miserable situation tolerable, and easy to sit through. I also have "White Coat Syndrome" (Documented) - meaning my Blood Pressure surges when I get into a situation with Doctors, Dentists and any other type of health care situation. Doctor Kris and his staff alleviate these phobic anxieties tremendously, and they all make me VERY comfortable and as relaxed as I can be. I can't say enough about how important this is. Lastly, as crazy as this may sound, I actually look forward to my visits to Dr. Kris. regardless if it's a problem or a typical 6-month cleaning. He and the staff are so friendly that I feel like I could just stop in one afternoon to simply say "HI" and chat about the weather. (I wont though...because I know they are busy and it's always sunny in Phoenix!). Thanks to Dr. Kris and the staff at GGD. I'm a grateful for your services and how well you treat me. read more

The most unorganized , office I have ever been in. I have not been a patient for long. However they misplaced, lost two appointments. Let it be known these appointments were made four and six weeks in advance. I would like to say the hygienist was awesome that I had clean my teeth. Office staff just does not have it together they cannot read your treatment plan correctly give you misinformation. I work and I don't have time to play games swap appointment times Etc.. I would not recommend this place. I feel that they say oh we didn't schedule you for this so we didn't schedule you for that even though that was what you wanted scheduled because they're just trying to get more money from your insurance company by having multiple appointments. I have excellent dental insurance so it's not my out-of-pocket however I feel that it's wrong the way they're trying to over bill the insurance company. That overbilling does get passed on to Consumers. read more

I've been going to them as a patient for a couple of years now. I had walked in originally with a very bad toothache, the front desk was extremely nice and accommodating and asked the doctor if I could be seen as a walk in basis without an appointment. They seemed pretty busy but after checking with the doctor if he could fit me in, they squeezed me in to have my tooth looked at. Dr Iganian was very nice and after an xray and exam explained to me the procedure that needed to be done. He treated my tooth that day, and although I'm not a big fan of dentists, the procedure was painless and I was won over. Thank goodness I've had no other issues since then and have been coming in for just regular cleaning and checkups. Again, love this office and staff and would not hesitate to recommend it to my friends (which I have). read more

They are a scam I was told 500 just to clean my teeth. I have insurance that is after insurance. They would not do a regular cleaning that is covered. I get my teeth cleaned 2 times a year never asked to pay 500! They are not honest! read more

Yes as others have said before me it is not the fanciest off or have anything crazy extravagant. They do however have the norm magazines, a video game system for kids, and tv for adults. One thing I always try to ask myself especially these days is "Where is the Value" I feel this is one of the most value I have ever gotten from a dentist. When I went they had already installed the digital imagery, which shows to me that this dentist is doing it right, upgrading his equipment before his practice. I had 3 cavitys filled and cleaning then all four wisdom teeth extracted all in the same day! The recovery time was not bad faster than that I expected I was back to work in two days. I would have to agree with those who reviewed before me, this was one of the most gentle cleanings I've ever had. The doctor is very attentive to your needs and wishes, and is defiantly very good at communicating and explaining the process. Lastly but certainly not least, The front office staff!!! These ladys are awesome! Irene is such a friendly joy to hear on the phone for your appointment reminders. Lisa is very knowledgeable and can help with a wide variety of questions. All and all if you want to find a really good dentist this is your place, yeah it might not be the most up to date building in the world; but the people who work there are defiantly up to date on there knowledge read more

I've had more a less very positive experiences at this office. The staff is very caring and I felt that they've always tried to accommodate my needs. I would say that I've had to wait for my appointments for the dentist a little longer than I'd care for but my cleanings have been prompt and pleasant. Dr Kris himself is the biggest reason why I come back. I would say that his care and attention to my needs as a true "dental chicken" have helped me over the years to overcome at least "some" of my dental anxiety. I been going there for years. No problems until recently. I went in for severe tooth pain on a tooth that already had a root canal on it. The dr explained i "woke my tooth up" due to me grinding my teeth. He prescribed me ibruprophen 800 for the pain and told me to come back in 2 weeks if it still hurts. So when i went to get my prescription they said i had 2. One for the ibruprophen and clydimiacin(a antibiotic). Why did i get a antibiotic if there was no infection that he said and if he saw one why didnt he tell me and why wait 2 weeks and not schedule a follow up appointment?That night i was in horrible pain i cant even decribe. Ended up going to urgent care who proscribed me pain pills to get me through the night. That morning i had a friend tell me to try her dentist to get a second opinion. So i made a appointment to find out i had a abcess that was so big it was spredding to my sinus cavity. Along with that the tooth was lose cause the infection regected the tooth. Not to mention the allergic reaction i got from the antibiotics. I ened up having to get the tooth pulled cause it was so loose. My new dr said with how bad the infection was i wouldnt of lasted 2 weeks. If you go here there alright when talking you through the pain but make sure you question everything. read more

I was always hesitant and uneasy with the whole dentistry process. It wasn't until I found GGD that my anxieties went away. They've always been very friendly, laid back and professional. They don't try to sell me additional services and treatments, and are upfront and accommodating regarding any future process that you may be in need of. When my insurance changed several years ago (as it so often does just about each year) I was unable to go there for a few years. However each time I had a new insurance change, I would pay a visit and check to see if I could get back in. Hooray I was finally able to get back in! Although I used a couple different dentist during that insurance "off time"....NONE were as comforting and easy going as GGD. In fact a couple were down right frustrating. I have been back now for a few years and actually LOOK FORWARD to my cleanings and any visit I may need at GGD. The staff, from start to finish is fantastic, and I can't see how a dentist visit could get any better! Bravo! read more

I went to this dentist due to him being on my TDA plan. I just needed to get a cleaning to try them out before getting a crown as I wanted to use my benefits for the crown. Well being a new patient I wasn't expecting much and they delivered that in spades. Showed up 15 minutes early for appointment to do paperwork (this is the proper thing to do) and was done by my appointment time. I then sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes past my appointment time and did not actually see a dentist until 1 hour past time. And call me shocked (NOT) when I find out that even though I have a regular dentist I pay cash to clean my teeth , I now need $700.00 worth of DEEP CLEANING. Wow, funny my dentist that I pay out of pocket (to avoid places like this) doesn't think that is necessary and I go every 6 months without fail. Funny how that is, don't you think. Also no apologies for being late, nothing. I am NEVER going back there. I have decided to pay a lot more for a different insurance plan and forego these types of practices and stick with my dentist and hygienist regardless of cost. My time is just as valuable as his and it irks me to sit for an hour because they cannot even book appointments properly. Not to mention being told I need a lot of services I do not need. PATIENTS BEWARE. All of this is my OPINION. Sad I cant leave 0 stars. Update 09/28/2015 Well now that I just got told that it is a 25.00 fee to pick up xrays, and that was not mentioned when I left the practice and requested them originally, I was just called by the office and TOLD that I was NOT waiting for an hour, and must be mistaken, and lectured to for 10 minutes. WOW. I am amazed by this office. If I am able to actually get my xrays this afternoon, I will NEVER EVER step foot in this office again. WOW, just WOW. read more

I just had a root canal done by Dr. Kris Iganian, and it was a lot less scary than I thought it would be. I had been told by colleagues a root canal is pretty much the one of the worst experiences so I was ready for a world of hurt. To my surprise it was painless, and fairly fast. I ended up getting the crown done at the same appointment which was also a treat. May I go on to say that his staff was extremely nice and helpful when it came time to explaining my insurance and the procedure. This Dentist office is by far the best one I have ever been to. As soon as you walk in you are being greeted by smiling faces as if they had known you your whole life. My whole expirence was amazing all the girls in the office were bubbly and so happy it was infectious I went in after a long day at work i was having the worst day and they changed my mood around just by being around me! This office has digital X-Rays which is awesome because i never liked putting the old school film in my mouth. The hygenist was extremely nice and kept the happy mood going by singing along to the radio and cracking some really funny jokes. The Dr., Dr. Iganian was one of the nicest dentists I have met usually the dentists are really short and rude with you. Not this one he came in with a smile and it almost made my day! He is a very efficent and gentle i can see where they get the name Glendale GENTLE Dentistry!! I loved the office i loved the enviroment and loved the staff I would reccomend anyone to that office anyday. My family has started going there and they feel the same!! read more
