I have been coming here for about 7 years and have experienced nothing other than excellent care. The front office staff let me know as things were getting approved. The dental assistant was always pleasant, you could tell they really cared about your comfort during any procedures. I had several root canals and crowns. Dr Sarwin discussed with me that it may be the time to get full dentures. I had several teeth extracted and began the process of getting dentures. Fortunately my insurance covered everything, and I know Sandra spent a lot of time making that happen. The process isn't very pleasant and took a little longer than I expected but Dr Sarwin explained why it takes time, my mouth needed to fully heal. I'm happy to say that everything went extremely well! I got my re-lines last Friday and am no longer embarrassed to smile. They said to contact them if I need any adjustments, and to get them relined again in about a year. I can honestly say that all of the staff made my experiences there as pleasant as could be. I would highly recommend them. I had a lot of work done this past seven years and can honestly say that I have nothing negative to say. If you find yourself going to this place DO NOT. I took my mom to get her dental work done and I was sitting out in my car next thing I know she comes back out crying. I ask what happened she said she was just so mean and makes me uncomfortable. Mind you my whole family has been going here since I was born. I stoped going a long time ago because of one of the hygienists. My mom continued to go which is fine until this time. Coni is the dentists wife and she thinks it's okay to talk to people horribly and not listen to what people are trying to explain to her. My mother was told that they were going to work on one side today which she was fine with then Coni decided that they were going to do both sides and my mom was like no I thought it was only one side and she started going off on my mom while she was trying to explain what she was told last time. My mom said you are making me super uncomfortable so I'm going to head out Coni decided to follow my mother out into the waiting room still berating her so my mom goes up to the receptionist and nicely asked how much she owed because we have always had good experiences with the receptionist she is so nice. As my mom is trying to ask how much she owes Coni is still going off and my mom simply just goes I don't know why you are acting crazy and she goes oh no I'm crazy no I'm crazy my mom grabbed her things and walked out. She came to the car and was distraught I was so concerned because my mom is so nice and a very intelligent person and so strong so when she came out so upset I kept asking her what is wrong and she said she just wants to go I was going to get out and go in and have a face to face conversation but my mom begged me not to so I went ahead drove away and gave a call to see what the heck happened. Two rings and Coni was on the phone already with an attitude and I said yeah can I speak the hygienist assistant the one married to the dentist? She goes that's me I said okay so why is my mother leaving your office crying? She goes to say that she told my mom they are gonna do 4 teeth and my mom said no and then she said okay 2 and my mom said no and she goes okay one and apparently my mom got upset and said she wasn't comfortable which doesn't make any sense and she continues to say that she knows my mom doesn't like her and that she's been here since Covid started and before it might have been all laughs and conversations but now she's trying to run a business and I said we have never had to deal with any of this and our family has been going here for like 26 years and she goes I'm going to hang up now and hangs up on me. I call back no answer I call again and the nice receptionist picks up I say nicely may I please speak with the hygienist assistant she said yes hold on. Coni gets on the phone I say "how do you get off hanging up on people that are just trying to figure out why you are making their mother cry" and she has the nerve to play stupid and say huh? That wasn't me I don't know what happened or what you are talking about. I was like okay well I need to talk to the hygienist assistant that is married to the dentist she goes that's me. I continued to say how are you going to sit here and lie to me that you didn't just sit here and act like you weren't the one that was rude to my mother and acting dumb like you weren't the one that just hung up on me. I went off to put it short and sweet. I don't know if they are about to go bankrupt and trying to save their business but this is not the way to do it and I hope coni has the day she deserves and idk where the dentist thinks that his wife is really caring person because she is a horrible human being. I left back in 2014 when the hygienist at the time was stabbing me in my gums and as I was crying trying to get away he held my chin and held me down and continued to hurt me.. I was 17. HORRIBLE SERVICE, FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! in excruciating pain from a broken tooth, we searched for emergency dental care and Glendale Dental Group came up. Wednesday morning at 8am, we arrive at the facility and it's closed. I call the number on their website and an automated message states their hours are Thursday-Monday and opening at 9am. Just so happens that a woman walked up to the building with a key while I was calling and so I said "Excuse me, miss..." she did not acknowledge me! So I continued with "what time do you open?" She looks up and says, "We don't. We're closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays." I'm actually thankful for this HORRIBLE service and experience, because it lead us to SINGH SMILE CARE which provided EXCELLENT service-what a person experiencing mind-numbing tooth pain needs from a provider. So last week I had a dental emergency that I could not handle for one more minute... I called them Because they are listed as an emergency dentist. They got me in right away. It's a very basic office, still have paper files and there is nothing fancy about this office. When I was seen by Dr Salwin, he found that I had a very bad infection underneath my crown that I had just put in somewhere else in December so he was unable to proceed any further he prescribed me 2 antibiotics and an antibiotic that went in the infected area. I'm not going to sit here and lie or sugar coat I have never been in so much pain in my life and because of the infection I was numb everywhere but that tooth... I was crying and embarrassed but the Dr assured me in his 40+ yrs of experience he has seen it all. I left with prescriptions and told to follow up in a week. Pain was so severe that I had called the office that evening in tears and the woman who I spoke to was pretty rude to me and said someone would call me but no one did, now this really upset me and I had called to cancel my appointment and ask for a refund for what I had prepaid for. I spoke with the office manager Connie who had no record of me calling and because I was in such severe pain she moved my appointment up and apologized for that experience and asked to give them another shot as it was not the Drs fault and for the life of me I could not recall who I spoke with. I went in yesterday to complete the procedure and Connie herself called me back shook my hand and thanked me for giving them another chance. Susan the assistant immediately came and asked how I'm doing and I explained still no relief at all... the dr came to re-examine this tooth and after letting him know that crown was put on a for a cracked tooth, he immediately stops and starts explaining to me you can't just put a crown on a cracked tooth you have to make sure it's not cracked passed a point that is not repairable. While he's explaining this to me I'm telling him I can not deal with the pain anymore as pain pills do not even show much relief to just pull it out, Susan returns and says if you can go to Dr Pace right now they will see you immediately. So off I went. Connie made sure to walk me to my car as I had oral sedation and I was numbed for the procedure. I'm really glad I gave them another shot because they did not waste anytime finding me someone to help me ASAP and they didn't try to do something that they weren't comfortable with which I appreciated as well. Husband has a wisdom tooth that's has been bothering him for a couple of days so I decided to make an appointment at this location it's our time first time here , when we got here the lady up front seem nice but then they said they couldn't get hold of our insurance and my husband had to pay out of pocket! $75 dollars!! I have never had a problem with this Dentist until this 1 instance I was running late. And instead of calling me to just re-schedule, the wife of the dentist, Coni Salwin, tells me," There's traffic everyday, you need to leave earlier"! I text the nice office lady , Sandra throughout my drive to the office giving her an ETA of my arrival because it was going on 20 min of me being late, and also let her know that they could reschedule me if need be, but no word so I showed up anyway. I'm a teacher and had conferences today which is the reason I was running behind in the first place, but the traffic was out of control this day! There are so many more professional ways it could've been handled, not belittling me and making me feel bad! Once I got in the dentist chair for my crown, Dr Salwin chimed in his 2 cents by saying," you know when you're 25 min late for your appointment, it doesn't leave but 5 min for us to get this done! Horrible! Do not go here! I got a simple filling here. I thought this was a great office , and went here after more than 10 years of being seen by a dentist. So I got the filling and had been referred to another dentist for periodontal work. I wad then told I needed a full exam which I did through this new office. I was told the filling was done wrong and needed it replaced. When I called and talked to Sandra, the last thing I was told was that they contacted my new dentist and was told "the filling is fine." That's a flat out lie. I simply want a refund so I can get this filling done correctly. A filling seems like an easy dental procedure to have done but apparently this dentist can't even do that correctly. I also have a credit at this office for future service which they refuse to give back to me. I've contacted the BBB and dental board hoping to resolve this simple issue. I called and got a same day appointment to see the dentist so right away I'm ecstatic and that's a plus in my book! I went in to hopefully get my wisdom tooth pulled but ended up having to get an referral for an oral surgeon instead. But that's ok! The staff were all nice people , the dentist Dr. Salwin (a good looking man at that) was very nice and told me what I needed to do about getting my tooth pulled. The only thing is that the office and their equipment needs to be updated. Therefore the 4/5 star rating. The business hours are more than available for anyone to visit. I'd luv 2 give this place a glowing review, but due 2 my experience I still feel I'm being pretty fair under the circumstances. First the good ~ I picked this place because I needed an emergency extraction of a wisdom tooth that I could no longer put off & being it was the wk~end, the available options r kinda scarce. Don't put off an extraction 2 long because when the pain gets as intolerable as seeing urself re~enact the Castaway scene when Tom Hanks does a self~extraction w/ an iceska8... well, it's no bueno! The last time I had been 2 this place was @ least 13 yrs prior & since I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes 2 teeth work (who called the WHAAAAMBULANCE?) & was concerned about being put under as it could adversely affect my heart, I again turned 2 this place because they removed 1 of mine b4 all those yrs ago w/o doing so & that's the best scenario I could hope 4. I called 2 c if I could get in & was told I didn't need an appt but could b w8ing awhile till he could fit me in somewhere which is completely understandable 4 needing 2 get seen same day on a wk~end. Got all the paperwork submitted & the lady @ the front desk/w8ing area said there was no way 2 confirm insurance being it was the wk~end so I'd have 2 pay out of pocket. After ?ing a couple Xs more & her feeding me the same aoutom8ed reply like a robot I just figured UGH, ok whatever it takes, just need the problem yanked out. I'll have 2 deal w/ the extra re~imbursement hassle l8er. Boy, was it ever... but I'll get 2 that ~ trying 2 keep things in succession. After losing feeling in my legs/arse in the w8ing area, was called back 2 a little section that would become my chair (or perhaps it became me) 4 an even longer dur8ion which is fine 4 no appt & squeezing me in. What I took issue w/ was I was in immense pain & still being nice & trying 2 joke w/ the prepper/attendant (maybe trying 2 make light of my nervousness). This lady was stomping around like an elephant, snorting like a horse & slamming cupboards & drawers, over~clanking tools/equipment which was counter~acting my attempts 2 keep my anxiety @ bay. When I commented "1 of those days huh?" She st8ed, "well I'm hot & hungry which is 2 of the worst things 4 me 2 b." I told her I was sorry & that it would get better. She just stopped & glared @ me 4 a moment & then said "pthththtfft yeah" walking off. Tried not 2 take it personally but I felt if I were 2 complete her sentence it woulda been: soon as I was outta her hair. She came around the corner/my chair area w/ the same antics several Xs & I almost wanted 2 pay 4 her 2 go get a "HAPPY Meal" & ice~cream next door @ McDonald's b4 she touched me!! Seriously was gonna call from my chair & ask my ride in the front w8ing room 2 do so 4 me. I was close 2 leaving a couple Xs because I almost couldn't stand it (& I can really take quite a bit). Finally, the dentist was ready 2 git-her-done which was not nearly as bad as I thought it was gonna b & I felt immedi8 relief in more ways than just the pain. When I velcro~detatched myself from the chair, I immedi8ly felt my mouth fill up w/ blood even while biting down hard on the gauze & 'miss hungry hippo' wouldn't let me spit in the sink or trash. "Can I get some more gauze then?" "Nope, there's some we're sending u home w/ along w/ ur prescriptions up front." GRrrr!! So I proceeded 2 the front check~out area thinking: thx 4 making this feel like such a drive~thru which had everything 2 do w/ her treatment/behavior. So 2 sum up the dentist was AWESOME & defin8ly got the necessary job done which I'm tremendously gr8ful 4 esp since it was on a wk~end when most dentist offices r closed (which is also a HUGE +)!! Don't let the front desk lady tell u they can''t confirm ur insurance card on wk~ends (found out that was complete bull & my insurance company ended up calling her out on it) after having 2 call several Xs when they claimed 2 have sent the necessary documents via snail mail (they don't fax) which the insurance company kept denying receiving. It was apparently easier 2 charge out of pocket, (making me talk w/ a mouth full of blood 15 min + keep "saying" they sent the info 2 the insurance company.) Reimbursed 2 Mo L8r!!! It's a shame that he has front desk so~called "help" that is anything but (emphasis on BUTT ~ (_y_) who really likes 2 sit on it btw instead of the job she's being paid 4) & the unnecessarily gruff attendant who prepped me & then assisted him on my procedure. It would b my luck not 2 get the really nice sweetheart of a gal who was there. Since I had plenty of time 2 observe & hear the goings~on in my surroundings while becoming fused 2 that chair 4 so long, she seemed 2 b the Only 1 there (@ least that day) who had a pleasant demeanor/bed~side manner. Still, I'd probably 'consider' coming back IF it were the down~2~biz dentist & the nice assistant I heard/witnessed helping other "chairs" along w/ a new front desk record person. read more

My wife had awaken on a Saturday morning with a crowned tooth that had become infected causing severe pain. Of course my immediate concern was for the possibility of a fever and raise in temp which could accelerate rather quickly causing major problems. Before taking her to an urgent care facility I thought I'd try to ascertain if perhaps there may be a clinic open on weekends. My search results indicated that Glendale Dental Group (GDG) had weekend operating hours and was local to us. Upon our arrival I had asked the lady at the counter if they accepted our insurance. She advised me they did but since it was a first time patient visit they had no way of confirming our coverage until Monday requiring me to pay a $70 fee before being seen by a dentist. That didn't sound right but I didn't want to prolong my wife's misery so I paid it. She further advised that only after the dentist listed all the services performed, they would submit a claim to my insurance and that it was up to me to contact them after hearing from my insurance of what was covered and what was my co-share, or if there was a refund due from my initial $70 payment. I specifically asked if there were any extra charges for a weekend visit or hidden charges. She told me no. The dentist took the routine oral x-rays and told her the best option was to have the tooth pulled. He gave her a script for pain and antibiotics and told to schedule an appointment for further work. That following week I took her to a local Dentist who arranged for a specialist to examine her because of some major things involved. After this exam the doctor clearly explained the major problems with pulling the tooth because of other teeth that were missing and explained her options. After a few weeks I received an Explanation of Benefits from my insurance in reference to the filled claim which was for $50. It showed after deductible my payment was $35. I called GDG requesting my $35 refund. I was told my refund would only be $15 because of a $20 office visit and of course the person who handles all this was not around until possibly next week. The person I spoke with tried desperately to have me leave the money and put it towards her next visit. BAMM! A rip off of $20. In addition to that and the complications they were unaware or simply did not want to do, my insurance informed me that any dental clinic could call their toll free number any day or time for confirmation. To the point, I would have been better off taking her to urgent care. I should have followed my gut feeling about a dental office with normal business hours on week ends. read more

On April 23 2016 my gums was swollen and saw a Dentist at Glendale Dental Group. After I paid I got the exam done and given an antibiotic that did not worked at all. Monday after 2 days April 25 I called and told them the problem on the phone they told me to double the dose which I did and still did not work. I saw another Dentist yesterday Wednesday morning and felt better already by the afternoon. If you have serious swollen gums think first before you come to this place. read more

Worst experience of my lifetime. Starts out with paying for visit and then an extraction because for some reason they can't verify insurance. I should mention they are in the Delta Dental Network but evidently that still makes it a challenge, though Delta couldn't explain it. Not to worry they say ... they will file the claim and establish a credit on my account. Of course I'd have to return multiple times and no amount of money is worth that. Nurse Ratched shoves a Q-tip in my mouth, presumably to numb before the shot. I'm not numb but she insists I am and, as if to prove the point, the mad scientist swoops in, jams a needle in my mouth, wiggles it around and disappears only to do it again a few minutes later. I've had dental work my entire life and never felt anything like this. Not sure if my questioning their billing procedures or Ratcheds work quality but I was definitely being punished. No one that hates their job that much should be permitted around sharp objects. I knew something was horribly wrong. Ratched suggested I might want to bolt but since I had already coughed up $300 I said I was stuck. She said I wasn't "stuck", I was "numb". Which I wasn't. By time they were done, I was sick to my stomach, head was pounding, jaw was throbbing and I could barely see. I did catch the snarky "have a nice day" as I stumbled to the door though. My husband drove me directly to Urgent Care. Nothing I experienced before walking in that door would justify me EVER doing it ever again. Luckily I bleed little, heal quickly and have always had a rather high threshold for pain. Mad Scientist seemed intent on identifying what that limit was. Something is very wrong in that office, aside from the 20 years the doc actually has on the picture that is posted. Interestingly enough, Urgent Care had no problem with my insurance either. My husband lost a crown on Friday night and there was no one in or near Goodyear who would see him. I called Glendale Dental Group and they saw him first thing Saturday morning. They even took our insurance! His appointment was for 8:30 am. Dr Salwin saw him, looked at the tooth and repaired the crown all in 30 minutes! Like most people, my fear of dentists stems from my childhood. Thanks to Dr. Salwin and the staff at Glendale Dental Group, my fears are in the past. I demand professionalism with any medical procedure and, in my opinion, that's what I received. No nonsense, get the job done. I had three problem areas, due to my own neglect, and they were all addressed. One turned out to be a root canal. Dr. Salwin has a three step approach to the numbing that made the needle far easier than expected. Every aspect of the work was explained so there were no surprises. I went to go get a copy of my medical records to take to my pain management appt the next day and the receptionist told me she had to check with the office manager came out with an attitude and told me she will have them for me in 2 days....I only have 5 pages in my entire file cause I've only been there twice, once for a wisdom tooth extraction and the second appt was because I thought I had an infection cause I was still feeling pain in the wisdom tooth area. I tried explaining to the receptionist that I would copy the few pages from my chart and the office manager came storming from the back and told me to get out I told her to not to get in my face. I filled out paper work and went right in . Told them everything and they looked at my tooth . After examining & diagnosing it they walked me thru treatment and price plan very well . Decided to get my tooth pulled . Honestly was very scared but they kept reassuring me everything will be okay and I would only feel slight pressure . It went good . Nothing bad to say . I have an impacting wisdom tooth which has been causing me serious pain. So much so that I couldn't sleep from the intense pain, and around 4am I went to the ER. The ER doctor prescribed my Oxy for pain management and provided glendale dental group as the dentist to follow up with and take care of me. The next morning I inquired with Glendale Dental group to set up an appointment an get an estimated cost. Sandra assisted me with setting up an appointment as well as an estimate for my out of pocket cost. Today was my first appointment and will be my last. I was under the impression that all my needs would be attened to during this one appointment; as my sole reason for the appointment was to get this dreaded tooth out, and relieve the extreme pain i'm in. However, after 2 hours in the office and only x-rays being done I was told I would have to reschedule because they were busy. When I tried to explain to the receptionist that I was told it would be done today she very rudely argued what I was told basically insinuating Im a liar or just stupid. What I'm most upset about is that due to the fact that it's a holiday weekend my next appointment is set 4 days out and when I asked about another prescription I was told I would be fine with Ibuprofen. I was prescribed oxycotin by the er doc as the pain is terrible; keeping me from eating, sleeping, or even wanting to talk. My face is noticably swollen, and when I explained that ibuprofen hasn't been working, the same receptionist got an attitude, became rude again telling me to sit down and she would speak to the dentist. The dentist (Salwin) wrote me a prescription for tylenol t3. This has me infuriated an dumbfounded as this prescription is utterly useless. The oxy I was prescribed just barely takes the edge off so tylenol is not going to help. Also swelling is a major contributor to my pain so a stronger dose of ibuprofen would have been ideal if anything other then a narcotic was to be prescribed. They wasted my time and money an basically shooed me away with a useless medication. Now I will likely end up paying another $150 for an Er visit just to manage the pain this weekend until I can get in to see a real dentist. I wouldn't recommend this dentist ever after the way the staff treated me as well as the care the doctor showed about my well being. Save yourself the BS find a dentist that cares because these people sure don't. read more

Had to see an oral surgeon who had to pull the tooth that I paid to have the build up done to because the asshole put a hole in the tooth..... 900 dollars later... I will be contacting the dental board to report this issue. read more

I have been going to Dr. Salwin since 2010. Like most people I don't like to go to the dentist but this place is the best! Dr. Salwin is awesome! His laid back style makes him easy to talk to and it relaxes me. I trust him with what ever he tells me needs fixed because he is alway honest and right. His nurse Susan is the BOMB! I have a weird sense of humor and I think she does too because her and i have a great connection, we joke and laugh all the time. The hygienist Roger ROCKS! I love the music he has playing in the background while cleaning my teeth. I always leave his chair with a wealth of information about my teeth and how to better take care of them. The ladies in the front office are very nice and fun, I just feel right home at this office. The atmosphere there really makes going to the dentist not so scary or boring. There hours are so flexible no matter when i need to go to the dentist they are always available. Today I was there for routine cleaning and fitting for a crown, through the cleaning process Roger discovered bad gum issues, my gums were really hurting but Roger new he had to get this area very clean (it was the tooth were my new crown was going in). Before, I new it Roger sedated my gums to make sure they would't hurt while he performed the needed deep cleaning, in the process the crown behind that the tooth he was cleaning for the crown popped out. Dr. Salwin took care of me once again, he fitted me for both crowns and did not charge me for one. Like I said this place is the best, I highly recommend it! read more

Staff friendly. Office old, out-dated. Lots of "digging in drawers" with ungloved hands, locating items then used in the procedure. Not confident this is an organized and approved method of storing & retrieving surgical instruments. Emergency "root canal" was performed day 1, according to dentist and bill. Day 2, repeat emergency visit, more work on "root canal." Improperly placed dental dam = difficulty breathing during procedure. Infection continues to spread. Sought treatment from endodontist who showed via x-ray a root canal was never performed on the infected tooth, just a partial pulpotomy. Days of unnecessary pain & anguish could have been avoided if this dr had TOLD me he had only done a partial pulpotomy instead of a full root canal. Also note, this is NOT a gentle dentist by any means. Works fast and heavy handed. Very painful. Also, the sentence "Eeek, g** dammit" was used by Dr Salwin during the procedure. read more

The dentist was very pleasant and honest, said I needed a root canal. I was worried with the area it was in that I was taking a risk. Very convenient that it is open 7 days a week and that it why I went there, because my dentist is not. Outdated and needs new furniture but my biggest concern was that there X-rays aren't digital. I wanted to get any work done on my teeth at my own dentist and they had to get my X-rays copied which could take "up to 4 days" and in order to not pay another consultation fee at my own dentist they had to get the copies of my X-rays. Point is that I'm sitting here in pain for 4 days and they weren't very nice after I called after the second day to see if the X-rays came in or not. Iffy. read more

Horrible dental office and horrible experience! They will try to milk you dry and continuously call you. Prescribe my husband medicine without being seen and charge me for it. I explain to these people I was dealing with a family matter however continued to run my bill up until I eventually gave in and paid them. They do not care about you as being a patient but care about milking your insurance! The accounts payable person sucks! Will never recommend them as your family density. read more

The staff here is very professional and friendly. Their hours are great if you are someone that works during they day. Booking appointments is easy and i have been able to get in usually within 5 to 10 minutes of arrival. I recommend this place as my whole family comes here as well. read more
