Solid staff and very friendly dentist. I don't remember his name but he was a middle eastern guy who was really cool throughout the whole process. Made sure my extraction went smooth and I was very numbed. Extraction took less than 10 minutes and the doctor had my tooth out. Other than having a lot of blood after my extraction for a few hours it went really smooth. I would go back here in a heart beat. I'm really disappointed to say that this dental studio has gone downhill since Dental Brothers sold. I have been a patient since the Dr. Holyoak days and continued on when the practice transitioned, always trusting the level of care here. I have had great experiences in the past, which makes this even more frustrating. My appointment was scheduled for 8:00 AM and I was not taken back until 8:30. I let the front desk know that I needed to leave by 9:00 AM to make it home for a meeting, yet the delay was not handled with any urgency. Starting an appointment that late, especially for an early morning time slot, feels unacceptable. The cleaning itself was extremely uncomfortable. The hygienist began using an electric pick and water was spraying everywhere. It was messy and unpleasant, so I asked him to stop. When he switched to manual tools, he claimed that Lisa used to do the electric cleaning as well, which simply is not true. Lisa was thorough, gentle, and professional, and my teeth always felt genuinely clean after her appointments. This time, my teeth do not even feel fully cleaned. The hygienist appeared very young and inexperienced and unfortunately came across as unprofessional and lacking basic knowledge and confidence. It was one of the most uncomfortable dental experiences I have had. I truly love Dr. Tol, which makes this decision difficult, but based on this experience, I will be finding a new dentist. I hope the practice takes this feedback seriously because it is clear that the level of care and professionalism has declined. read more

I've been to a lot of dentists and I've never seen a dentist that makes it extremely difficult for their customers to get an x-ray and a routine cleaning on the same day; this is pretty much standard at every other dentist I've been to. In order for me to have both on the same day, they told me they had to schedule me at an inconvenient time and didn't even 100% promise me that I would get a cleaning on the same day. Luckily, I did get the cleaning. First off, their office is located in a very divey part of town. I pulled up and there was a den of homeless/half naked people camped out directly in the parking lot. However, their office is clean and pristine. Admittedly, the customer service and the actual appointment itself was nice. The whole ordeal took 1.5 hours of my time. I had a coupon and I was willing to schedule another appointment but the person at the front desk told me that I could either use the coupon or never get the benefits of my insurance. This seemed absurd to me so I asked again and sure enough, they would never let me use my insurance if I dared use the coupon that themselves gave to me. So I used the coupon since it was a great deal and won't bother going again since they would force me to pay out of my pocket for subsequent visits. They have nice staff but absolutely asinine policies that are just awful for customers in terms of scheduling and payments. read more

I have gone here for about 2 years. Very nice office staff, and the dentists are nice. For me, after the initial visits, it got a little pricey. I needed a crown and was told it would be $1300. I just couldn't afford it, so had to go elsewhere. After the introductory prices, the price go up, so It won't be a place I will go to often. If you have dental insurance, then it won't be a problem. New staff and remodeled office..makes you feel welcoming right off the bat! They allow you to ask questions before starting to work on your teeth. They keep you calm with some rad TVs hooked up to Netflix's and guess what ceiling has a TV, also. Some who has super anxiety and gag reflex's they understood and worked around that!!! I went in for a damages wisdom tooth which then lead to the other 2 (lucky only 2.5) for me. They knew I was scared but DOCTOR DOLE & PATTY - rocked my removal. Who continued to explain the xrays and the procedure but with my millions of questions- I felt safe to allow this to go down. And then 20 minutes before her appointment to pick it up they call and say the dentist is not coming in today. I was a patient at Smile For Life for several years before the change of ownership, and one of the unfortunate few to arrive for a scheduled appointment to find a shutdown practice before this office's brand transition. General frustration with these circumstances and policy chnages delayed my return for some time, but I'm glad I went back! My appointment was for a routine periodontal cleaning and I was pleased that my hygenist (Val) had fully acquainted herself with my history and was ready to jump straight in without any delay. The hygenist staff at this office have always and all been utterly fantastic and I'm happy to see that many of these fine professionals were kept on in the change over. Additionally, in a surprising turn of serendipity, the DDS who checked me up happened to be a doctor I had seen back in high school! Dr. B (as I knew him over ten years ago), Mannie Badyal, provided excellent enough a care experience years ago to stick in my memory even as a teenager. Still awesome, highly recommended and an all around prime example of a Grade A medical practitioner. There are multiple locations in the Valley, all under the same ownership team (of which Dr. B is half of), so the likelihood of this location's same shared standard of excellence is quite likely. read more

Having a cracked tooth, I obviously needed to see a dentist. Dr. Sam Abadi was highly recommended to me from my neighbor. Admittedly, doctors and dentists make me nervous and I have had a few not so pleasant experiences in my past. All I can say is my worry and fear has been put far behind me. Dr. Abadi is the best! He and his staff (I'm going to name drop here - Daniel, Monica, and Martin) are kind, understanding, helpful, personable, and truly help patients to be comfortable during the entire procedure. Having not seen a dentist in some years due to finances, he didn't judge me. He understood. My fear of dentists has been alleviated. I have since had other needed dental work performed. I've been to this location several times and each time the experience varies. Today the visit was unpleasant as the receptionist Carla was very rude and unprofessional. Due to having a special needs child I was going to cancel my appointment last minute cause today wasn't a good day for him and I don't enjoy bringing my son anywhere that requires him to sit quietly or comply with social norms cause at this moment he isn't good with those skills. I called and she said if the appointment was canceled or rescheduled it would be a $65 fee for the dental hygienist time being inconvenienced as there was a 1 hour block on her schedule for my appointment. I said it was fine I'd go as my husband was able to get our son. When I sat in the waiting area she went back to speak with another lady that worked there and was saying how do you call to cancel an appointment moments before and then walk in & just being nasty about the situation from what I could overhear when I hadn't been rude to her in the slightest bit nor was it an inconvenience to her day. The lady she was speaking with happened to be the same lady that took me to the room to clean and floss my teeth which she wasn't hospitable & seemed as though she was the least interested in being there & unsanitary as she touched her mask several times without changing gloves & when she finished I had to wait 20 minutes for the dental hygienist although I was told the $65 fee was for the hour of the dental hygienist time as they'd already prepared for my appointment and allocated the time towards but it seemed as though that was inaccurate. The only pleasant person there was the black dental hygienist only dissatisfaction was the wait & I unfortunately missed her name cause I was more so annoyed at the lack of understanding and the overall behavior displayed by the receptionist & inaccurate information given. If an hour wasn't set aside just for my appointment don't say it was, just simply leave it at that's the cancellation fee we charge. read more

Do not use this office. Terribly unprofessional and dishonest. I had a front tooth chip, in which they said they would fix it, and had me come in the next day. When I got in there, they wanted to work on the tooth next to my chipped one because they said my records stated I needed a root canal on it because it had severe decay. The dentist told me he would fix the chipped tooth also. I went along with the root canal. After they were done, the dentist said he didn't have time to fix the chipped tooth, and then said I would need a crown on the chipped tooth. He refused to work on the chip tooth. So I had no choice but to come back to get a crown. BTW, the root canal temp tooth, was so poorly done and put on, it ended up coming loose and coming out. I go back to the office to get a crown on the chipped tooth, in which they complete devoured that tooth the make it ready for a crown (and this was an additional 400 on top of the root canal I got charged). Once they did their molding and sent the imprints to the lab, they scheduled me out 3 weeks to return to get my crown. Mind you, when they put in the temporaries (my front tooth and the one beside it) they put they so close, I couldn't floss between the teeth. This led to an unpleasant odor in my mouth over the next few weeks. Finally the day to get my crowns implanted comes. I get a call two hours before my appointment, and they told me the dentist doesn't feel well and is going home. After all that time. They pushed my appointment back another week. This office is full of unpleasant surprises. I'm going to a new dentist. Worst experience ever. Do not go to this office. read more

So, I've been here 3 times now, and could not be happier with the service I receive. For starters the office has been remodeled and very well kept. It is extremely clean, and that is always a plus when in a Dental office. Secondly, My Dentist Chia Wu is Outstanding. She has exceeded all my expectations, and is by far the best Dentist I've had in my life. I am currently on Chemotherapy for a Rare Blood Cancer, and have a lot going on with my teeth, so I expect to be here quite often. Since today was my last cleaning before I move across the county here, I want to start off by saying I couldn't recommend this place more. I used to go here when I first moved to Arizona years ago but had to stop because the funds weren't there and I didn't have insurance anymore at one point. I was finally able to go back this year and it has been nothing but amazing again. Daniel, the hygienist, is the absolute best. He taught me how to care for my teeth and what I needed to do to continue their journey back to where it needs to be. I never felt judged or weird about all the procedures I needed. They take their dental plans one by one and never make you feel pressured doing the dental work then and there, especially if you do not have funds. Daniel truly changed my outlook onto dental health and I'll forever be grateful for him and his knowledge! There is also a front desk receptionist with glasses who every single time I go in is extremely nice and super helpful. I've also gotten one work done with Dr Sam Abadi and it was a great experience. He too never makes you feel pressured into doing a plan. All these people just want to make sure you welcomed and that they care but never to a point where it feels pressuring. I'm sad that this will no longer be my dentist but I know they'll continue doing great work. (Also, if you need to reschedule or anything, best thing to do would be to call! They are always available to speak on the phone whether it's a 3 minute phone call. Or 10 minutes). Please do me a favor and go to this place if you need dental work! Big shout out to my Dr. Sam Abadi!!! I was feeling really bad pain on my tooth and he wanted to save it but saw that it was too infected. I would have paid more for a root canal but instead he pulled the tooth out and I was able to see the infection that was growing under the tooth. Sept 6 I texted and said I would be late for my appointment when I arrived 30 minutes late I was told the dental hygienist left, no phone call or anything. I rescheduled for sep 7 I arrived prior to appointment. A lady and little boy arrived 10 minutes after me was called in before me and done by 425 here I am 40 minutes later waiting to be seen. I asked the woman dark hair tinker bell scrubs how long the wait would she walks to the next room where I hear Valerie say she did not even know I was waiting for her the lady walks back over to me & says oh it's gonna be a while, so I say Im leaving and going to find a new dentist and she reply's good luck with that. I walk to receptionist ask for manager I'm told no one is there, as I explain what happen the same woman in tinker bell scrub walks up interrupts the conversation and I stated I'm not talking to you! The receptionist has absolutely no response, so I leave! Not to mention last time I was here I had a bad experience. I'll just take my business elsewhere! Thanks for wasting my 2 days in a row! Well I have been going here for a couple of years now, I moved to Bullhead City but drive back to phoenix to see this dentist because I like their friendly service and I've never waited long to be seen. Everyone in the office is knowledgeable in what they do (don't understand the neg, review below, I have never heard anyone complaining in the office). They have great hours, you can hear music or watch movies. Drs and "dental nurses" are polite, cheerful and care about making you feel comfortable during your service. As long as I can drive there I will continue with this office, Thank you Smile dental for the services I have received. (Oh, and I don't ever go to Starbucks) read more
