At the store was a customer who recommended me to take my vehicle to Dave Cooper. When I arrived at Dave's he informed me about the TBI and we both chuckled. Then he made an appointment for me to return with my vehicle. On the scheduled date I dropped off my vehicle, Later that day the secretary called me and told me that my vehicle would not start for them and that they would need to replace one of my batteries since they had tested it and it was very weak. She also mentioned that this was probably the main cause of the problem. They changed the battery and now my vehicle runs like the day I bought it. Thank you Mr Dave Cooper and all his staff. I'm definitely taking my vehicle to you when needed.

They told me to bring it back, they did another flush and it still ran hot looked in the coolant NO COOLANT. I was told to pull over and turn car off whenever it runs hot by the mechanic (LIKE REALLY!!) keep in mind I had already got a full diagnostic so I knew what needed to be fixed. Took it to VW shop and they said American Muffler screwed up my car they broke my water pump, radiator, thermostat was never fixed, they used stop leaked, among other problems. I wish I never cheated on my mechanic cause $440 cost me $5,000 in repairs and a new engine. I was told they WERE NOT CERTIFIED TO WORK ON FOREIGN CARS and they're known for screwing people over. I took to social media and I'm glad I saved a few people from going there and heard many horror stories about this shop. I would hate for someone to go through what I did. And the mechanic knew he messed up my car you could see it all over his face and for the squidward gonzo nose lady at the front desk pretending to jump over the counter like you were going to do something I wish to God you would have cause I would have got my $money$ worth out of kicking yo ass!!!! The shop took pictures and everyone is telling me I should sue them and I'm really considering especially when I have the full diagnosis before I gave it to them vs how they gave it back. If you want to find a good shop GO TO USA MUFFLER 814 E Ridge Rd Griffith IN. They always fix my vehicles correctly and they're certified I wish I would have taken my car there like I usually do. I learned my lesson you get what you pay for I WILL NEVER GO HERE!!!!!

I went with my daughter to pick up her vehicle as it was taken to RB's Towing by the police while…read moreher ex-boyfriend was driving it. When we went to the window and pushed the buzzer, a young lady came to the window. My daughter explained why she was there and the young lady asked for her driver's license and the ISP Tow Report. My daughter gave them both to her. Then, it was discovered that the trooper mistakenly put my daughter's grandmother as the registered owner when she is not. That caused an issue which I can understand. So we went back to my car and my daughter called the police department, explained what happened and we waited for at least a couple of hours for the officer to arrive. He cleared things up and told the folks at RB's the car could be released. Then, my daughter was told by a second woman claiming to be the "manager" that she needed a second form of identification. My daughter got back to the car upset and told me what happened. That upset me because there was no mention of a second form of identification from the first woman. The officer cleared the release because that was all they said they needed, and suddenly once that happened they needed a second form of identification which by the way my daughter did not have. My daughter went through hell the night before, her vehicle was taken from her and wound up in one of the worst tow yards ever!!! She's lucky to have her life, let alone her license. No where does it say you need two forms of identification; a driver's license is required. I took photos of every sign they have, and the website is lacking tow information which is not surprising. These folks are trying to hustle us and I am livid!!! I call it as I see it and I call BS!! It's Friday and the vehicle will likely stay at least one day (one day too many) and these people are SCAMMING!!! I am a manager and that's not how you conduct business at all. You collect money honestly and with integrity and treat people fair. The second woman was smug, condescending and a con artist playing "manager". People are already at their mercy because they have the vehicle but they really want to take it a step further by robbing you of your hard earned money. If your car is towed there, you don't have control of that. But, I warn you not to use any other service because their integrity is shoddy. They deserve ZERO stars. They need to be and will be reported.

I unfortunately had my vehicle stolen from where I live at and due to the proximity from the Police…read morestation to this tow yard, this is where my vehicle was taken to and if I can recommend anything to anyone, it's not to use this tow yard if you have any issues with your vehicle or if you have a say so in the matter. To start off, my vehicle was stolen sometime in the early hours of Sunday morning (from what the police said) and found in Markham at a random address and was taken to this tow yard and when I arrived to the yard with my police report in hand, I was told I wasn't allowed to even see my car, nor retrieve any items out of it unless I paid the initial $300 tow fee. Excuse me, what? Typically, at least in the city of Chicago, if your car is stolen and found and brought to a tow yard, you're able to retrieve your vehicle at no cost to the owner since it was STOLEN. Not only was I not allowed to see my cars condition without paying that fee, but I had to pay an additional $160 for the storage fee of a day and maybe a few hours, plus for someone to assist with me retrieving my vehicle OUT of the tow yard. However, I actually physically drove my own vehicle out of the tow yard on my own. The only thing that I can say was "pleasant," was the guy gave me a small USB cord to start my car to drive it out, but even then, nobody drove it out for me and I wanted to know what condition my vehicle was in prior to paying the fee, because if it wasn't drivable or anything, why would I pay $300 just to look at it and grab my items from my trunk and such? That didn't make any sense to me and I felt like the guy thought I was this sorry girl who didn't have a clue, but news flash, I'm not an idiot and I could tell I was being scammed. Also, how dare you charge someone to retrieve their vehicle after it was stolen and ripped to shreds. That is HORRIBLE business and I never wish this upon anyone. Even after everything I was dealing with because of this ordeal, I was kind and courteous to the workers and they still charged me a total of $460 + $10 in service fees for using a debit card. Disgusting.
