Our family rented several of the cabins for the weekend my son got married. Everyone enjoyed our stay so much. Family members out of town got the full Colorado experience. The staff were accommodating to our every need and the cabins were stocked with electric blankets for the beds, firewood and so many things needed to make our stay memorable. We will absolutely be back!

What an amazing place to visit and relax. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The cabin was so comfy and the disc golf course is top of the line.

Glen Isle was the PERFECT getaway for my husband and I! We were far enough from civilization to feel like it was an escape. But close enough to go into town for groceries, or travel to Denver for some fun on the weekend. PERFECT! The cabin was spacious, and the views were peaceful. The owners, Mary Ruth and Greg, really respect the history of this place and it's surroundings. It's very apparent that their hearts and souls are in Glen Isle and they were the most welcoming hosts. They mix a little modern in with their renovations, but keep the rustic charm that Glen Isle has offered for over 100 years now. We went on multiple hikes around the property, which is right next door to National Forest, and saw beautiful sites. Tons of trees, landscape views, creeks that were slightly frozen. We did have to adjust a little to the quiet and lack of TV/WiFi, but it was worth it. We are so used to city noises and a bunch of people being everywhere all the time. Having some peace and quiet was needed. We talked, wrote, started a puzzle, and made a lot of cozy fires in the fireplace. And last but not least, The Lodge! The lodge is full of historical artifacts and collectibles from previous owners, that are so interesting and old, I could spend all day in there! If you love history, outdoors, quaint towns, quiet, exploring, and good people; Glen Isle is worth a stay :)

Sooooo beautiful and peaceful!!! My husband and I were visiting from Dallas, TX and originally found them on the HipCamp app. We were originally gonna camp but saw the weather wasn't going to be very condusive. Greg and Mary Ruth were very accommodating and were able to switch our camping reservation to a cabin reservation and even offered us a second night for half the price. The cabin was very cozy and the king bed and propane heater was great, we slept like babies. We stayed in he Columbine cabin and our porch faced the little river that runs through the property. It was so peaceful. We werent able to see much of any other amenities due to Covid restrictions but thats ok. We came for the scenery, seclusion and time spent together. Sorry if our dog barked and scared away the horses! We don't se emany of those in Dallas. Thank you guys for a great stay! We will be back

I had the chance to visit one of my favorite places ever Glen-Isle Resort LLC - Bailey, CO, Thank you so much to MaryRuth Vincent and her staff for making my birthday feel extra special! This place is absolutely breathtaking and so much to take in you will just want to stay forever! The views you will get are amazing!

You better believe when I say, and I speak for a group of six, that this cabin was the most charming perfect fit for our Rocky Mountain Christmas. Mary Ruth and Greg Vincent are spot on with this restoration of a timeless resort. Explore the area and the grounds, enchanting indeed. Will return for many years to come. Say what's up to Newton and company in the stable, they are very chill.

First impression was that it was an older…read morelodge, and had not been recently updated for at least 10 or 20 years due to the outdated-looking linens, dirty carpeting, and the "landlord special" type paint jobs and caulking. The room was fairly clean, however, we did find that there were spider webs in the bathroom (with live spiders), dead bugs smashed and stuck to the ceilings and window sills, and the carpet was stained and needed a good vacuuming as there was dirt and pieces of dried mud. The welcome sheets were very cleverly written (by Misty we found out) and were a nice bonus. The beds were a bit stiff, and not all that comfortable, but they were made, and there were plenty of fresh fluffy towels for us to use. We did move the couch in the room closer to the fireplace (I guess this is unheard of by the owner from their reply, I mean who'd think people could want to sit and be comfortable in front of the fire), as we bought some duraflame logs to use in the fire (we were given 1 (not two as the owner has assumed as they always "can't find" any (depends who you ask, Scott said they had none but then when the lady who cleans the rooms heard we wanted one she was somehow able to make one appear out of thin air*), and when we did move the couch we found they do not clean behind/under it, as we found someone's vape pen, and a hair pick. The owner's reply says it is "too difficult" to move the couch and clean in it after every guest's stay, which I find disturbing. This means that any dandruff, trash, or fluids they leave behind are just sitting there on the couch waiting for the next guess. Gross. The room had a small kitchenette, with a double hotplate to use as a stove. The provided dishes were all mostly cleaned spotless, and they had all the basic necessities if you were to cook. However, the faucet of the sink broke off once during use, and caused quite the mess. We were able to fix it and clean the water up and it was fine afterwards, it just needed to be screwed down properly. The grounds are wonderful, and they have many hanging potted flowers, and hanging hummingbird feeders, so there are always a TON of hummingbirds flying to and from. They also have a pond that you can fish from, so long as it is only catch and release. The bad: Our heater went out once each night we stayed, sometime late and night, so we always woke up freezing cold. It was raining the entire time we stayed, so the temperatures dropped to the 40s at night. When we tried to call the office to get the heater fixed when we woke up, we found they don't have the office or phones staffed 24/7, and had to call the phone number provided to us about a million and a half times before a sleepy voice answered to help us out. *Edit: We're so sorry it was a big deal for the owner to have to wake up and get in the shower to come fix the heater that was supposed to have been working properly in the first place so we had a warm room to come back to when we were finished with work. Edit: Changed to 1/5 stars due to owner's response. They basically called us liars. Not the way to approach customer service. Instead of getting defensive maybe try to apologize for the issues we had, and ensure it doesn't happen to customers in the future. And yes, we did call them over and over again starting at 6am, as that is when we had to wake up and shower because we had to be at work by 7am, and our room was in the high 40s. Who'd have thought that when you get out of the shower you'd like to be warm, apparently a crazy concept for the lodge. I've also attached a screenshot of their "summer weather" during our stay. I'm sure most people won't find a 46 degree low anywhere near "tropic." Now when I come back to Bailey for business we will never return to the lodge. Good riddance.

We selected the separate cabin in the meadow for our two day stay. Initial appearance was exciting but once we occupied unit we found how lacking it was. It is billed as small and intimate but we found the place "just" dirty and tried to overlook it. Clean towels and sheets were provided. Screen door did not fit so bugs, gnats, flies and moths inside. Had a King bed but for us the mattress was too soft. Very low toilet and small shower. Hot tub in room puts off odor and cycles throughout the day - meaning it comes on 2-3 times at night in a very quiet setting. Local water tasted and smelled terrible...so bring bottled water (some provided). Two FOLDING chairs provided for deck which needs upkeep badly. When we arrived we had no clue where to go for check in. - which door? 9am breakfast is too late for us and was ok. Visiting with other guests always a plus. The bride and groom had their own cabin in the meadow -- so romantic! What a charming place! My husband and I stayed in the Colorado Sun room, which had so many amenities: a kitchenette, private hot tub, double-sided fireplace, two-person shower, and even a sauna! The whole B&B had just a ton of history and character. The furnishings were all super comfortable, with a relaxed, rustic vibe. A few things needed some updating and fixing, though. There was no hot water from the kitchen sink of our room because the little under-sink water heater was broken. One of the baseboards had come lose in the bathroom and there was tons of mold on the drywall. The water up there is well water, and it was incredibly soft; hard to wash the shampoo out of your hair, and it tasted NASTY. Definitely consider bringing your own bottled drinking water if you're going to stay a few days. The breakfast part of the bed and breakfast was pretty good. Two of the staff came up each morning to cook and serve hearty potatoes, sausage, eggs, fruit salad, coffee, orange juice, etc. It wasn't particularly good, but it was nice to have a hot, served meal that wasn't pizza delivery. We ate breakfast outside, where the bees were a nuisance because they wanted all of our food. We had just a fantastic weekend up here! Definitely the best wedding I've ever been to. I would highly recommend Meadow Creek for events of all kinds, but especially if you want to rent out the whole place.

The other problem is that we failed to bring snacks and then realized we were hungry at 11 pm. They didn't even have an olive bar, I could not believe it. Ridiculous. You see that mini fridge? If I were smarter, I could have had so many snacks in there. Instead, I insisted we try to walk and find something down the street, because this is Colorado and at the very least there is some bar food nearby within walking distance. Not at 11 pm. Nothing open, no one on the streets maybe some mountain lions, at least the bears were hibernating. We ate lunch at the restaurant down the street recommended by the front desk. Murphys closes at 9 pm. Delicious, I owe them a five star review. Ordered conservatively for some reason, but should have had leftovers on the mind. There is a happy hour at 530 pm with beer and maybe even some food, but we were enjoying the amenities of our room too much. So, this is a public service announcement, I suggest you bring food if your dietary needs involve late night snacking. Otherwise when you realize everything is closed, you'll wish you said you wanted breakfast at 8 am instead of 10 am and then your boyfriend will be unable to wait, has to go down the street and then you have four breakfasts by then. I'm not a high maintenance princess type so I do not expect a robe. I definitely don't expect it to be that soft. Since it had to be that soft, I got the idea there were supposed to be matching slippers hiding somewhere. I never found them. We plan to return in the near future, and bring some snacks and slippers. I'll tell you how that goes.

The xc skiing at Devil's Thumb has always been a favorite for us, as far back as the 70's when it was just a rustic ski trail system with a small nordic supply shop. In recent years it became a full fledged resort with lodging where we have often stayed. We have also stayed in Winter Park, about 15 minutes away and driven over to ski. But we have now found our new favorite option. This is such a lovely place, both the facility and the charming staff. It is a better price value for us than some of the other options in the area, yet more than a simple motel in town. You know, like Goldilocks, "just right." I especially want to note that the (included) breakfast that host John cooks for the guests was wonderful, some sweet, some savory, warm, homemade, natural and ample for the start of even an hearty ski day. They take note in advance of special food needs and serve with a choice of time options. The log style of the building is rustic but nicely furnished. The rooms are well designed and furnished with high quality linens and have lots of storage as some guests stay for weeks. The views from each room are very pretty, some to the Continental Divide, some to the woodland. Every single staff member was friendly and helpful. The central lounge area was large, comfortable, attractive and clean and with a central fireplace. There are also some other smaller gathering areas to sit and talk or read if you wish to be outside your room. And there are also some family and dog friendly cabins on site if you want more than a bedroom. Personally, the rooms in the main inn are just right for my needs. We will absolutely be back. It is convenient to local xc skiing and also just a 15 minute drive past the Winter Park Resort and not far at all from several quality dinner options. We met other guests using the lodging for all of these reasons.
