I loved the ambiance. The building and dinning room reminded me of old world Germany. Loved the long tables which our group took up 3 tables. The beams and decor made the experience. The kitchen is in view as you walk in and smell the sausages. Some outdoor sitting availabel. Service was wonderful. Fast and efficient. Food: was simply amazing. We had the traditional (small) 8 sausages, potato's and sauerkraut. Oh, yes, the sauerkraut is the key to it all. And then the apple studdle was amazing. I would have taken that back if we weren't walking. I must stop if you are here.

Food took a bit of time to come But I don't mind. The food finally came and took my first bite on the sausage. It was good tasting sausage , juicy , mild flavor and not salty compared to others that I have tasted. The sides that I ordered complimented well. The sauerkraut which is warm and the odd thing the potato is cold. Not what I usually expected, regardless it was great tasting especially the saurkraut which has a sweetness taste to it. Overall I had enjoyed my dinning experience.

Luckily I had 6 days left on my trip and was able to reserve a spot the last evening. It will be a 3-4 hour event and meal costs $36.90 per person for the 7 course meal. Drinks not included (with the exception of the horn of mead). Also, you eat with your hands, for that extra medieval feel. We arrived and there was not host so we were a bit confused. We eventually found someone and they directed us to our table. They had really great drink selections. The knights feast was amazing. I don't even know where to start, but I'd say skip the bread because the stuff that follows is out of this world!! They serve radish salad, jellied meat (this sounds and looks gross... but was really surprisingly delicious!), soup, bacon wrapped quail (so good... it just fell off the bone), pork leg & ribs (the skin was perfectly crunchy and those ribs were to die for), mixed salad, potatoes, stuffed apple pastry, and a cheese plate. Throughout the dinner there was entertainment and singing. We don't speak German but didn't make a difference, we had a great time and tried to play along.

I had the mushroom soup and sauerbraten with bread dumpling. It was both good. Service was good by…read morean English speaking waiter. Ambience was very nice in a old Austrian dining room. Overall very good.
