Everything was spot on, even the fries tasted better than most. At the table we also has a bread and cheese appetizer, and schnitzel. I'm not a pork chop/fillet/tenderloin fan, but this came out cooked just right. The schnitzel was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, no grease and not bitter. Perfect! The beer was cheap, cold, delicious, and local... how does that get any better? I absolutely will be back! Thanks to Gerhardt (the local man we sat with) and everyone being so friendly to us non-German speakers.

It is really close to the Nuremberg Airport and has a fairly large (by European standards) private parking lot. I would recommend to stop by here if you want to grab a bite before your flight. 2. The food is fantastic. We wanted to try thw fried carp but was informed that it was not available by the kitchen so we went for the Franconian Trout instead. Delicious! Judging by the way the food was presented, tasted, and menu selections, I would go on to say that they may be a great place for a foodie. 3. They have a house selection of Tucher branded beer. Didn't have any due to drive, but definitely interested. 4. The overall decorations and setup makes it feel like you're in the backwoods in a cabin getaway. Very nice!

The menu is all about the vegetable, but don't let that turn you off if you love meat in anyway because the chef here is a magician with vegetables. We had the 7 course tasting, I'm not sure if there was even an other option because that was the only one waiting at our table. We had several amuse-buches beforehand, all little bite size beauties of vegetables wonderfully displayed and flavored. The menu alternated between two full vegetable dish, then raw fish, then vegetable, then cooked fish, vegetable and ending with lamb and dessert. I tend to love heavy meaty dishes but this tasting menu was filling and prefect. Every dish was an exploration of the different parts of vegetables and a myriad of ways to present and flavor them. Not a cheap meal, but highly recommended.
