Definitely worth it. There's also a tasting room for their spirits nearby where, for a euro or two, you can try most of their spirits. The schwarzbier schnapps was particularly good. At the restaurant, the house beers are solid, but do make sure to check out the various spirits distilled from the beer as well as their whiskey. Food is typical hearty local fare; Nuremberg sausages are a particular highlight and prices are reasonable. When we went it wasn't too busy, but our (quite kind) server indicated that this was unusual.

While the restaurant space is giant, the menu is limited. It has bratwurst, schnitzel, pork knuckle, and about 2 other typical German options. I ordered a dish with turkey, pepper sauce, and spatzle. My turkey was very dry and not tender. The sauce was more of a gravy and didn't have a pepper flavor but was still good. And the spatzle was slightly undercooked and chewy, but was lightly seasoned and went well with the sauce. Not a lot of flavor in the dish, it definitely needed more seasoning on the turkey. The hefeweizen beer was good though with a nice light taste. So overall, I'd recommend getting a few drinks here but try somewhere else for food if you're looking for delicious meals full of flavor.

And let's not forget that this restaurant fully participates in the annual Spargel madness which grips this area especially hard during harvest season of this delicate snow white asparagus. Locally grown and offered in just about every traditional restaurant in this area, it has very thick stems, yet is incredibly tender. Traditionally eaten doused in butter or Hollandaise sauce or in a vinaigrette as salad. If you happen to be in the southern part of Germany, you have to try it. As a side it usually comes with potatoes, but generally offered with a small Schnitzel or some Brats also. Personally I indulged in Schaschlik mit Pommes. Basically a Shish-kabob with fries. The local variation comes with assorted veggies on the skewer along with the pork and it comes doused with Schaschlik sauce, which has some tomato and bell peppers in it and is perfect for dipping your fries into in lieu of ketchup. Of course this place also offers such things as potato dumplings, pork roasts, Wiener Schnitzel, Brats and so on.
