If you are looking for the traditional Franconian fare, this is the place for you. From the typical German pub feel to the regional menu, you can get a feel for the Franconian palate.
And let's not forget that this restaurant fully participates in the annual Spargel madness which grips this area especially hard during harvest season of this delicate snow white asparagus. Locally grown and offered in just about every traditional restaurant in this area, it has very thick stems, yet is incredibly tender. Traditionally eaten doused in butter or Hollandaise sauce or in a vinaigrette as salad. If you happen to be in the southern part of Germany, you have to try it.
As a side it usually comes with potatoes, but generally offered with a small Schnitzel or some Brats also.
Personally I indulged in Schaschlik mit Pommes. Basically a Shish-kabob with fries. Of course this place also offers such things as potato dumplings, pork roasts, Wiener Schnitzel, Brats and so on. read more
