I ordered the spaetzle and it said turkey mushroom sauce. I don't think the meat was turkey, but beef or pork. Whatever it was, it was really delicious. The portion was huge and I recommend if you order it, you share the meal with another person. My husband thought the schnitzel was ok, but my son really loved it. I enjoyed the potato salad on his plate. Really good balance of vinnegar, salt and sweet. His schnitzel meal came with a a basic side salad. My son ordered creamy tomato soup and bread, which he really enjoyed. He told me it tasted like homemade food and I agreed. Note that this place only has three tables inside and there are a few tables outside. It was raining, so it was a nice warm spot to enjoy a comfort food meal. The prices were really good for the location near the attractions.

The sausages and sauerkraut were packed with flavor. I couldn't stop eating until every bite was gone. The pork shoulder was just as memorable: tender meat that fell off the bone, with a crispy edge I couldn't get enough of. The dumpling was delicious, too. Both dishes paired wonderfully with a beer, shocking, I know! Also, the table service mustard which is so yum!! I'll be dreaming about that pork shoulder for a long time.

The bratwurst was delicious: savory and flavorful. It had a slight char on the outside, and juicy inside. The roll was just as good. The crust was crisp and and inside was soft and pillowy. I especially liked eating it with sauerkraut which balances out the balance out the grease and heaviness of the bratwurst. There's also service was slow as we learned throughout our trip. It's just the norm so don't expect any quick service. While the restaurant space is giant, the menu is limited. It has bratwurst, schnitzel, pork knuckle, and about 2 other typical German options. I ordered a dish with turkey, pepper sauce, and spatzle. My turkey was very dry and not tender. The sauce was more of a gravy and didn't have a pepper flavor but was still good. And the spatzle was slightly undercooked and chewy, but was lightly seasoned and went well with the sauce. Not a lot of flavor in the dish, it definitely needed more seasoning on the turkey. The hefeweizen beer was good though with a nice light taste. So overall, I'd recommend getting a few drinks here but try somewhere else for food if you're looking for delicious meals full of flavor.
