I can say unequivocally that Hunterdon Paint is, by far, the best of the best! From stock availability to customer service, from store ambiance to product knowledge, they are unsurpassed. In fact, I routinely bypass other stores with the same product, sometimes cheaper, to shop here! Why? It's always better to do it once than to do it over! Now, regarding color, that is the hardest part of the project! I have a color consultant on staff, and she makes a world of difference to customers. The same is true of Helen, whom Hunterdon uses for color consulting. Talented, fun, and well worth the cost to get it right. Yes, Duncan is very good, knowledgeable and personable, but so are Bill and Jack, all highly professional and dedicated to helping the customer to not only get the right colors, but to get the whole project right. Their level of understanding and commitment to the customer is unparalleled in my experience, Period! I hope Rose returns and allows them to help with her project. ( only one in store working at the time), started helping that person who just walked in instead of us, also customers, who were waiting. He mentioned he would only be a few minutes, but obviously it seemed it would be longer and that this customer may have been a friend or contractor. Joe jr. mentioned he would be with us soon, and I asked, "we were here before that person", and he ignored me and proceeded to help the other guy. Been going there for years, Joe Sr., always very professional. Maybe a sign should be placed somewhere in the store that states "ALL CUSTOMERS THAT NEED ASSISTANCE WITH PAINT, WILL BE WAITED ON AFTER OUR COUNTER AND REGULAR CUSTOMERS ARE TAKEN CARE OF" out of respect for the people waiting. Living in Hunterdon County for years, we just purchased one of the largest estates (homes) in the area with a stable and a six car detached garage. Consistent delays and lies in the office of promised dayes and calls. No calls since the order was purchased. Finally I gave up forst of Dec, yes, December. Tried calling, now closed during the week even though I was told in Oct that they would be open thru out the winter. Omission of details is still lying. I called my credit card to start the chargeback process, found another company to deliver. Ordered on a Monday, delivered on Thursday. But guess what, now suddenly Floods deivered their order. No calls, no communications. Again, something has changed. Please be aware and get everything in writing and be prepared for legal path if contract is not fullfilled. Horrible experience and will no longer do any business with this unprofessional company.
