When he came home and told me that the chairs were dirty, I was livid. How the heck a store sells you dirty merchandise when you placed an online order. Does it mean that if I've chosen ship to home, the store will deliver dirty chairs? Sorry but it doesn't make sense. It's not that I went to the store and decided to buy chaise lounge chairs and took the ones they have outside. C'mon, I placed an ONLINE order and of course expected to receive CLEANED items. Not even the associate took the initiative to have the items cleaned before the customer arrives to pick them up. Tonight, I went back with the intention of talking to the store manager and make a formal complaint. What ever you do do not make a return to cash app unless you want to play the wait 3 weeks for the return to hit your account game. Cash app is a debit card user same as cash it is not a prepaid card so you should have the option of a cash return. Same as anyother debit return transaction . Ordered a Frigidaire Fridge that was delivered today at 9am. Upon noticing the light not really working, I realized that when the door opens the switch does NOT pop out all of the way to engage the light. I have to move it slightly to get a light to come on. Lowes told me to call Frigidaire first, I did and they said it is under their warranty for 48 hours or so after delivery. Called the store, on hold for 20 minutes, to be told "it came from the warehouse its basically not our problem and I have a working fridge at the moment". So now I have to WAIT for a WAREHOUSE to call me and "remedy" a solution? This is a sick joke with the $800 I shelled out on this. You guys treat customer issues horribly. Having been a customer and purchaser from Lowes to supply the needs of my rental properties I can take no more. Lowes of Mt Pocono contracts deliveries' out of some warehouse in NJ. Major issue! Rarely do the delivery people speak English worth a damn. After purchasing a washer for one of my rental units to be delivered in the Poconos, Mr Pocono Area, Being away I hired my contractor to receive and accept delivery. I paid for delivery installation and take away. First attempt informing tenant and having my paid contractor to receive in my absents the unit come badly damaged. Second attempt now having my paid contractor on site could not find the the address. Communication with delivery i sin in Spanish, as is dispatch. After the third attempt with no success I gave Up. Never again give my money back and I purchased from Stroud appliance a better machine for a good price and they delivered on time and spoke english. Never again Lowes appliances. read more

They have social distancing enacted for a bit where they controlled the number of people going into the store, and then recently they removed that - not sure if they were less worried? Inside plenty of home improvement supplies, garden store attached and you can also get various vermin, seeds, and other supplies by the pound or bucket. Took a trip to Lowe's today to take advantage of their Memorial Day sale. Sadly the plants that were on sale were impossible to find. When asking the garden tech he showed me where one type was (all sold out) but was completely unhelpful with finding the 3 for $12 2.5 quart plants. Lowes step it up! Make it easier for customers to find sale items. In the garden center the line was super slow and when asking the cashier if she could help find the plants and her response was a shrug and "I don't know this is my first day in garden." Sad that they could not find someone to explain. This was after asking THREE people in the dept. Also no mention of the option to get receipt emailed. This was a solid 2 star visit. S read more

It's hit or miss with Lowe's. They have most products you could possibly need in terms of hardware and lumber but depending who is working when you go in you never know how knowledgeable they will be. I had an electrical issue I was dealing with and although the first two people I talked with couldn't help me, they found somebody that could. Big thumbs up for that. They also give me a 10% military discount. Overall a nice place to shop. read more

Anyone purchasing an appliance, please BEWARE!!! Lowes uses a 3rd party company called XPO for deliveries. The service at XPO is beyond horrendous! The store employees at Lowes know this and agree, but they can't do anything as this is a corporate arrangement. I had to take off of work to meet the delivery driver to deliver my washer and dryer. They gave me a window of 3-7PM and showed up at 10AM. They refused to come back that day during the window they provided me. Then Lowes rescheduled for another day. The next visit they were due to be at my home 8AM-12PM. They showed up at 3:50PM. Upon arrival the 2 drivers spoke NO ENGLISH. They had a problem that they could not explain, so they called a family member to help translate. Still no luck. I could not ascertain what their problem was, no I asked them to leave. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE! In complaining to the store, they say "sorry, they're a 3rd party" "we don't have any control of them". In trying to call the Mount Pocono store several times during this ordeal it is common to spend 10-20 mins on hold before anyone picks up. I requested a refund and repurchased the washer and dryer at Best Buy in E. Stroudsburg. I have been spending a lot of money at Lowes as I recently bought my Pocono house. That is done, they lost my business. They can thank XPO! If the day comes that Lowes starts during their own deliveries, maybe I'll consider them again. THIS IS THE WORST STORE IVE EVER BEEN TO. there's absolutely no help in the store, nothings where it's suppose to be, the management in the store is very poor. I was spoken to very rudely the last time I went there by who I was told is the store manager, and it happened while I was asking for directions to the flooring section, and I asked the young lady if she was able to guide me there, and she stated that she can get another associate which was fine, while waiting for the associate I let her know that I was in a hurry and would have to leave soon, and she just flat out told me the doors right there, and she walked into the customer service area, no associate ever came to help me and I ended up trying to go back towards where she told me the department was, no one was there. I went over to the neighboring department and was told they just went on a hour break 5 minutes ago. I left the store. every time I go to this store I have a bad experience. I was even hit with machinery once by an associate who simply didn't see me, he turned the machine while I was at the corner of an aisle and I got hit with like a wall of plexiglass. since it was a mistake I did not report the gentleman and he was very willing to help me up and make sure I was okay afterwards, but it's always something in this store. This place has terrible management and even worse accountability for all their mistakes. Once they completely forgot my entire delivery order as my guys were paid waiting on site. I then ordered a pickup job for 12noon, knowing I'd get there 4pm, nothing even in the works when I arrived. The latest was they delivered ordered to my house, missing a 12' roofing sheet. 4 rounds of corporate intervention and still to this day NOTHING, no refund, no delivery, no replies. this is the worst store I have ever been to in my life. the staff are very unhelpful and the managers are very passive aggressive and rude.

Since my two closest local Lowe's were sold out of the additional flooring I needed, I placed an order online for three boxes of laminate flooring and chose the in-store pick up option at a Lowe's 40 minutes away from me. I was then called by an associate to let me know that they only had 2 boxes of the flooring I needed; and that they were now discounted due to their boxes being damaged. I inquired about the quality of the actual flooring, since the boxes were showing damage. The woman assured me that the flooring was fine, just the boxes showed damage. I again asked about her being sure of the integrity of the flooring, as I needed to drive 1 hour and 20 minutes (round-trip) to pick these up; again I was assured they were fine. She was pleasant and seemingly helpful, so I agreed to the modified order. Once I picked up the items at the store I was met with an apathetic associate who literally couldn't even be bothered to look at the item when I questioned her about the quality of the flooring. I drove another 40 minutes back home to open the flooring I was met with unquestionable damage to virtually every board in the box, with one board even being CUT. (See photos, they speak for themselves). Aside from that, it was also not even the correct product!! These planks won't even lock into the other boxes of flooring since it's not even the same product! It's reprehensible that this flooring was not only returned by someone in this condition, but then re-packaged and sold to someone else in this condition. I cannot believe that a manager of this store has such little integrity that they would actually lie to make a sale with such little disregard for their customer!!! Unbelievable that this location is so deceptive in their practices. I would advise everyone to avoid this location AT ALL COST. read more

Lowe's is the newest thing open here "on the mountain" though of course there are a few others in the area. The joy of having a hardware (and so much more!) store so close to our little community is something that is difficult to express. Think of a home improvement project, and home improvement project. Think of all of the items that you need, and all of the many steps that need to happen in order to complete the project. Think about heading to your nearest hardware store and loading your cart with goodies. You measure your list twice, and buy once. You head home. Forgot something, didn't you? In the time it took you to buy everything, the family altered the plan? Again. What were you thinking? You had it all worked out. You've done this before. You've been in this house for years, and know it from front door to back. Heck, you installed the back door yourself! Why, oh why, is this so much harder than you think it should be? Ah, but no worries! This project isn't like the last project. This time, the closest Lowe's is just 10 minutes away, instead of 10 miles away the way it was last year. This time, stopping the project to run out and get "that one thing" (and then that one other thing, and then the next thing, and maybe one final thing, just to be sure...oh wait!) only takes enough time to distract, not enough time to stop a project cold. Now you know that when you end up with the bits and pieces that you did not need, the bag of returns won't sit in the trunk for a week while you work your way back to the store. Lowe's is conveniently located next to Wal Mart, and across from Kmart. Businesses have finally realized that the sleepy town of Mt. Pocono has a larger customer base than they ever imagined, and that there is cash to be spent on and in the beautiful homes in this area. I'm so happy to see these changes to our community. Lowe's offers a military discount to those who ask, and is filled with helpful associates who are working hard on memorizing the store layout and inventory. This is a huge, good store, and will only get better. read more

The window treatment department is like a really bad joke. In May, we spent $35 and about 1&1/2 hours picking out shades for new windows. We had our windows measured and shortly after went back to Lowes and spent more time in order to confirm our order with perplexed staff who wondered why we were there and told us we would be called when everything is ready for installation. It is now almost October. Good scam, Lowes! You got us for $35 for measurements and you got us to waste some more time at Lowes The rest of this particular Lowes is actually pretty good. When we called they stated the delivery guys had no work order to get through the gate. Rescheduled for next day. Again no show/no call. Our food has been coolers in the garage for Two days now. We finally got a call at 4:30 pm to reschedule. We decided to cancel our order. The manager was suppose to call us the following day. No call.... hmmmm! Wanted to give it 2.5 stars but since that was not possible I had to settle for two. The store is adequately stocked but that could be due to supply chain issues. Maybe that's keeping the store for being fully stocked. They don't have simple things like a wall hanger cord for a 100 pound mirror or basic water filters outside their brand. I own a rental property in Tobyhanna and got a call today that my refrigerator had stopped working and I needed to get a new one ASAP. I called lowe's this morning to go over my options. I live two hours away so you can you can imagine my stress. I am aware that customer service is a part of their job but the service I got from Bruce in the appliance department was incredible. I let him know the situation and he handled it perfectly. He called me back within minutes with what he felt was the best option for me. I paid Lowes to have my kitchen backsplash installed. After several miscommunication between Lowes and their private contractor (Lowes couldn't find my tiles), my backsplash got installed before thanksgiving 2021. After they left, I started cleaning the backsplash and realized that about 25 small tiles were cracked. I called the company immediately but was unable to get in contact with them. I left several messages with employees and after three months someone was able to come and inspect the work. They took pictures, documented work wasn't complete and said someone we get in contact with me but no one did. I went to Lowes three times, sale associates emailed the manager in charge and again no one has contacted me. It's now May 18,2022, over 6 months, and my backsplash has not been fixed. Please do not have anything install by Lowes. It's better to deal with a local company that specializes in the product you need to install. My next step will be to contact Lowes corporate office, call the Lowes credit card and file a claim with the Better Business Bureau. read more

Do not buy appliances from this store (Mt. Pocono, PA). I spent more than $5000 on a refrigerator and gas stove, both arrived dented severely. I have spent more than 4 hours on the phone to obtain replacements for the damaged items. I spoke to the 'manager' (Ivan) who assured me that I would receive a call back from appliances to resolve the problem. No one bothered to help me. If you are thinking of hiring Lowe's in Mount Pocono to do any home repairs or to install a new kitchen or bath, forget about it! The work they did on our home was a disaster. Very poor workmanship, no attention to detail and the woman in charge of it all only flirted with my husband the whole time. Believe me, he was not interested. Not only did they do a bad job, they caused additional damage to our home and left without fixing it or paying us so we could hire someone to do the repairs. Never knew one day to the next if they were going to show up or not and when they were here they spent a lot of time outside smoking cigarettes and talking on their phones. There is no one to complain to either. Your complaints go to some supervisor who just sends the same crew out to inspect the complaint. Then they disappear again and nothing is done. I have long resisted opening a Lowes or Home Depot credit card. Lowes is closest to where I live, and after spending thousands of dollars at Lowes, I conceded to getting a Lowes Card as they discount 5% for using a Lowes card which really means they overcharge me by 5% for being a cash or debit customer. My first statement did not arrive and before I knew it I was charged a late fee and interest. I am current, I only charged $260 last month and am paying it right away...... but I note that my standard APR for being a good Lowes Customer is 26.99% When I go to Lowes, the busiest counter is the return counter, there is often no cashier except the self serve line. And while I am there , I regularly hear the alarm go off suggesting someone walked out with something unpaid. No wonder, when you overcharge customers 5%, when you charge abusive interest, customers realize and go elsewhere when they can. Speaking for myself, I go out of my way to go to Home Depot, not because they are perfect, but competitively speaking, they are far better, While arguably still hard to take, their credit card is 37% less expensive (16.99%) , they offer extended no interest financing on purchases above $299, and their customer service level is much better. They brought us an outdoor bench and it was already assembled. We like to shop here and prefer it to Home Depot. They also offer price matching, so another plus! read more
