And the service is beyond impeccable. If you haven't been here, it's a must visit for all gardening & plant folks. I purchased a burgandy shamrock plant & it's doing very well. Have never seen one of these anywhere else. I'd give her 10 stars if I could & they continue into the fall for your hay, corn stalks & pumkin need. A family tradition for most folks in the Poconos. Hope to see ya there next season.

Prices are not inexpensive here - but you can't beat the selection of perennials and shrubs. Have a hard time finding a particular plant? Try here. The water garden selection was substantial including all supplies, fish and plants. Definitely worth the drive.

Glenmar Nursery and Garden Center is a little hidden treasure. The employees here make this…read morenursery special. They are absolute experts on gardening in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas. I've been a loyal Glenmar customer for 8 years, and during that time have received from them the most sound and sage advice on amending soil, deterring pests, and ensuring success with recommended varieties of perennials, shrubs, and trees they sell. The most hardy and long-lived plants in my yard were purchased from Glenmar: healthy hostas, gorgeous and unique selections of false spiraea, and my favorite coreopsis which has endured and improved throughout 7 years. They've also helped me diagnose and resolve problems with spruce and cherry trees. The grounds of the nursery are beautiful and peaceful. They have a lovely selection of roses in the front, shrubs as you enter, trees around the perimeter, vines and perennials near the greenhouse, and shade perennials beneath a large tree. The greenhouse displays their annuals as well as their ponds, which are populated with numerous little frogs. Each year they offer a good variety of recently-introduced perennials, which I had previously only found on mail-order gardening websites. I've also purchased good quality landscaping materials, soil amendments, and all manner of gardening supplies here.

Currently the Johnsonville Farm & Garden operates as a Cooperative Farm & Garden Complex fit with Greenhouses and an Indoor Market. Johnsonville has everything from livestock grain to live plants, seasonal produce, local meats and dairy." Always such an incredible treat to stop by and take in ALL that local farmers' markets out in the country offer: quaint, whimsical, locally grown, sourced and produced, with such a unique blend of organic, local, fresh and slightly random items and ingredients. ALL types of home products that are so much better than anything else mass-produced found nearly everywhere. I will gladly pay a bit more for something I truly cherish and am interested and intentional about buying: I wanted a particular tea but I'll look online to see if I can find it at all anywhere else. We bought some of their home made scones, a block of cheddar cheese, some locally produced honey (so good!) and an organic witch-hazel I occasionally use as a toner for my face. There so many other items to look through and peruse: jams, pies, nut and apple butters, candles, cookware, pastas, breads, cookies, meats, crackers pickles and cheeses. The staff were kind and helpful. Always so friendly, with a much slower pace, attitude and energy. I wanted a hydrangea bulb and thought they'd have some for sale. They didn't unfortunately but I ended up getting a Dinnerplate Dahlia, in a beautiful color. I hope it'll be a successful plant and it'll bloom this spring / summer. Come check out this wholesome Farm Market!

Absolutely amazing…read more We bought 31 trees from them last year. We had a few due over the winter. When we called up to ask about what could have gone wrong and buying new trees, the owner spend 30 minutes on the phone helping us diagnose the issue. He then invited us down and asked to take a dead tree. When we went he helped diagnose the issue which was related to our landscaper planting them too deep. The bark was underground and caused the tree to die. He helped us pick new trees out which were so much better and more cost effective versus the local shops nearby. He was so helpful - wish more businesses took this level of pride in their work or provided this level of customer service. A++++
