I cannot comment on the quality of the Hardware store, as I was not here for that. I was here to see Christmasland. Christmasland is located on the second floor of Main Hardware, and it's amazing. This is the best selection of Christmas decorations I've seen in at least a decade. The selection of Blowmolds might be the best available in Pennsylvania and possibly the Northeast. Two rooms are dedicated to ornaments alone, including tastefully decorated ones that are becoming a rarity. They also have artificial wreaths, trees, inflatables, yard decorations and just about everything else you can imagine. The only thing they don't stock is decorative Christmas houses. The selection very much reminds me of department stores 20 years ago, when they actually had Christmas decorations. Main Hardware is an absolute must stop if you are looking for an excellent selection of Christmas decorations.

I had recently purchased items from a Lowe's near home but never had the time to return them. I figured I would run into at least one on this trip and took advantage of that before leaving town. I found my way here and pulled into the monstruous parking lot. It felt like once you entered the edge of their portion, you drove a mile before nearing the front of the store. Once parked I headed inside. Took a minute to reorient myself, but I found the returns desk and headed that way. Approached and started my return. However, this didn't take as fast as it probably should. The computer system seemed to be having a bit of a problem, that, or, the employee wasn't paying attention to the computer screen and was having a conversation with a coworker. I don't mind that, but please process my return so I can be on my way. Once their conversation ended...I mean the computer cooperated, my return was completed. Something that could have taken less than five minutes lasted double that.

If you have to return to get another can, just make sure you or the Lowe's employee picks the right base each time. Otherwise you'll get two different colors and will have to repaint the whole wall. This Ollie's has taken steps backward in the last year. To start, this location is off Kidder…read moreStreet/Route 309 Business in the Triangle Plaza. Building was previously occupied by several businesses with the last being a ShopRite, and the half Ollie's does not use remains vacant. The condition of the parking lot is a mess with holes everywhere, especially in front of the store which is basically just gravel. Ollie's owns this property, so you'd think they would invest in fixing it. This location is large with a good all-around selection of the usual Ollie's merchandise you'd expect, which can be everything from Books to Toys to Soap to Small Appliances. As with every Ollie's, if you decide to buy any Food items, check the expiration dates. Where the problems are most noticeable, is this store has received Ollie's latest renovation, which doesn't mean much until you get to the checkout area. This stores checkout area is poorly configured because it splits the electronics section in half. You have to go into the checkout line to see half the section, which at this store is a problem. This Ollie's is so chronically understaffed there are almost constant lines, and a 10-minute wait to checkout might be fast. The exit doors are in the middle of the checkout area, so to leave, you essentially have to walk back through most of the checkout area. The step backwards this store has taken is a major problem, and at this point I'd rather visit the locations at the Church Hill Mall in Hazleton or the Keyser Oak Shopping Center in Scranton.
