This store is huge. Without aisle category signs, I'd be so lost. They have a nice paint and color selection. All different price levels. If you have to return to get another can, just make sure you or the Lowe's employee picks the right base each time. Otherwise you'll get two different colors and will have to repaint the whole wall. Mainly all plants sold at this location need high sunlight. My house doesn't do well with this type of plant. Make sure to look for low sunlight plants if you have the same situation. read more

I bought a Whirlpool washer at the beginning of May (a month ago today). I have made several trips to the store to get help with it and I have also called. It is VERY difficult to find anyone to talk to and the last time I was there O was told to call Whirlpool. I am sorry that I bought from Lowe's - should have purchased from a regular appliance dealer. I won't make that mistake again. I purchased a $2 fence part from Lowes in Edwardsville PA. I live about 35 minutes away from there so I paid $6 to ship the part to my home. It came crushed. When I called Lowes they said I would have to bring it to any one of there retail stores. I choose the one in edwardsville as the store closest to me did not have the part In question. When I arrived Adrienne Dotzel the assistant store manager informed me that they could refund the money for the part but not the delivery as the product was delivered albeit crushed. She said I would have to take it up with FEDEX despite the fact I paid for the shipping through Lowes. Then I tried repeatedly to call customer service. Each time it said their lines were busy. Finally after waiting a little over an hour someone picked up. Needless to say I was very unhappy with their customer service. I am a regular Lowes customer and previously had no issues but also haven't really had to return anything. I bought a washer and dryer and when they delivered it, the dryer wouldn't start up after it was plugged in so they took it right out. Then I turned the washer on and it made so much noise. I told him I don't want it come and get it. In the meantime I went down there and I bought a Maytag washer and dryer, let me tell you it took me two and a half months to get my 800 and some dollars back for the washer. Very very poor Customer Service. There's never anybody there to answer the phone. They just ignore it they don't want to be bothered. read more

I have enjoyed shopping at Lowe's for years and have spent over $35,000 in their store totally remodeling an entire house ad yard! I recently hired their professional services to do siding and they sent one person in winter to do the whole thing. There are so many quality issues I can't even begin, then instead of siding under some windows they put aluminum with NO J Track or something and when a large rain came the kitchen ceiling flooded and caved in! I prefer this Lowe's over the Lowe's in Wilkes-Barre. I typically get friendly, consistent service here compared to the one in WB. My most recent visit was for paint and the guy at the paint counter was awesome. He was helpful, friendly and overall great to deal with. Other store employees greeted me as they walked by. Way more friendlier here. I will continue to visit this Lowe's over the one in WB. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE: Purchased a washer and dryer from the Edwardsville Lowe's. Set up a delivery date and everything was great. Delivery day came and we hadn't heard from them. I called and was told they didn't have any in stock and it'd be another 2 weeks. That's a MONTH for delivery and no one felt the need to contact us. I asked to speak with their manager and she promised to try to find a replacement or the same and call back shortly. After five hours, no call from anyone. We called and the man said she was working on our issue as we speak. When I asked to speak with her directly he quickly said 'oh she's with another customer' contradicting his previous statement. We called the store 3 more times trying to get a hold of her and she was no where to be found. We ended up having to go into the store to get a refund. They sold the washer and dryer that they originally had in stock out from underneath us. That's why they didn't have one available for delivery. I will NEVER take my business back to Lowe's. You're constantly given the run around and it's impossible to find anyone to help you when you're in the store. This store sucks big time!!! I bought a $300 BBQ grill and pulled my vehicle up to the front where I was told that 2 employees would load it up. I was prepared with blankets to protect my seats etc. they carelessly threw it in the back and scratched my bumper on my brand new 2016 Audi Q5. Unfortunately I didn't notice it until I got home . Five stars for Ray in the Home and Garden outdoor center! He was so helpful. We had questions about fencing and stone to do some landscaping. He introduced us to rubber mulch, which was actually pretty darn nice. We were shying away from mulch due to insects and termites that are attracted to it. This is the worst Lowe's I have ever been to and I've lived and shopped at Lowe's in 3 states. Horribly managed. Literally took almost 3 months to get my first delivery from them. I have avoided them since however I ordered from another store and the order got routed there again recently. They again missed delivery and did not send any notification as to what was going on. I called 5 times and was hung up on before I could talk to a person. Then I called corporate Lowe's to get through and they worked it out. (This was the only way I got my delivery last time). They said we could go pick it up ourselves so we did. When we got there, drove an hour they told us they didn't have the product. Then they said they did but we would have to pick it up tomorrow. We refused to leave having already spent 1.5 hours on the phone and told we could go get product then waiting 45 minutes in line. They lied they had the product and we made them give it to us. They made up at least 5 lies in the process. Go to Wilkes Barre Lowe's, go to Home Depot, go to Ace, do not EVER go to this Lowes read more

This Lowes is our favorite place to go for home improvement projects. We bought an older home so it seems like every other week we end up at Lowes for something from plumbing and electrical to backslashes and flooring, they have it all. I visited this store on 1/8/15 and it was the first time I actually walked out before finishing at the check-out. I had 4 items, all of which were Christmas clearance and clearly marked with their new lower prices. I went to the self check-out (1st mistake), and everything went smoothly until my lasts item, which rang up $4 more than it should have. I pressed the "Help" button on the screen and looked around the general area for an employee, but there were none to be found. After 5-7 minutes, a sales associate came by, only to tell me that he couldn't "do what needed to be done". Another 5-7 minutes passed, as well as at least 5 or 6 sales associates that did not stop or seem concerned with my dilemma... Another 5 minutes, people are checking out all around me and I'm continually getting sympathetic looks from employees that apparently 'can't do what needs to be done'. Then I see the an employee coming down the aisle from afar. She was walking with determination and her badge looked different than all the others. I thought maybe she was coming to help. She walked directly up to me (never made eye-contact or a friendly greeting), said "EXCUSE ME!" because I was blocking the keypad on the screen, typed in a zillion numbers then walked away. It removed the $4 items from my receipt, so I guess I was happy about that... kind of slighted that she was pretty rude about it, but none the less, happy that I didn't have to wait any longer. Then since I was now ready to go, I clicked "Finish & Pay", only to be greeted with another error code on the screen telling me that I needed assistance. I'm usually an extremely patient person and I don't get mad, but I'm not going to lie. This did not please me. I picked up my items (which were already bagged), walked over to the next self check-out (2nd mistake) and re-scanned them, clicked "Finish & Pay" and guess what... Another error code. I walked out. I understand that all of this could have been avoided if I had just gone to a regular check-out, since these were seasonal clearance items and their prices are tricky, but the point was that countless employees were around, and none of them were helpful, then the one that was able to help, was incredibly rude. read more

I went on my lunch hour to get an artificial Christmas tree for our office. The 7.5' tree was in a pretty large box and, since there were no carts, I drug it to checkout registers. The guy at the register didn't offer to help me or even ask if I needed any help. There was an empty cart at the register so I tried to get it up on that. It weighs about 70lbs and I couldn't quite manage it and it fell off the cart right there at the register. The Lowe's employee didn't say anything or offer any assistance! Thankfully, I got it on the cart on my second attempt. I said to the Lowe's employee "thanks so much for your help - I really appreciate it" and he just looked at me and didn't say a word. Chivalry is dead in America ....or at least at Lowe's in Wilkes Barre, PA. Go to the Home Depot...their employees at least seem to care! read more

I went to lowes for paper towel. They had a coupon in there coupon book. Which I couldnt even find in the store. Finally after asking 4 or 5 associates another woman said I know what you're talking about. And I followed her to the back of the store. Where there was a box on a shelf that was closed up and she opened it to give me the coupon book. So I had finally found what I was looking for. Cut several coupons from the books. Took my purchases up front. The cashier Sandy was very friendly and patient with all my transactions. U ntill some nosey ass older woman who was also a cashier went to find the manager Robert. He came over immediately and accused me of a fraudulent act. Saying I could not use 30 coupons that they were for his 4000 coustomers. He didnt even know where the coupon books were located. He was very rude and disrespectful. They were not even out for public display. He tried to tell me one per transaction ment one per customer. Who trains these people? He told me not to come to HIS store with my coupons again. Now suddenly he went from ASS t. manager to store owner. What is with this guy he acted like I was taking milk from his baby. I was making a purchase with a coupon from lowes coupon book. I n the lowes store. He must get a kick back for every coupon not used. Maybe he dosent like paper towel. Maybe he didn't like that they were ringing up .14 cents after the coupon. Maybe he was jealous he didnt get the deal first. Oh yes and that was fourteen cents each. So if you're reading this before the end of November 2015. The coupon books are located near the mini blinds behind the desk on the lower shelf in a brown box that's unmarked. On November 11, 2017 we ordered a Samsung Refridgerator to be delivered Friday, November 24th. When the delivery people came, they were very careless and damaged the refridgerator while going into our house. Since we needed room to put the new refridgerator, we disposed of our old one. With that said and speaking to a manager, there was a scheduled delivery to be made the following day. The manager said he "tagged" a refridgerator that was out on the floor of the store with our name on it. The following morning (when it was supposed to be delivered) we received a call saying someone sold the "tagged" refridgerator that was supposed to be delivered to us. Continuing this nightmare of a story, they set up another delivery November 28th. They managed to get that refridgerator in the house undamaged, plugged it in and it started making these strange chiming sounds. The delivery people said that is normal until it reaches the desired temperature and left. After 2 hours of waiting for the refridgerator to reach the desired temperature and hearing the chiming sounds we called Samsung customer support (2 times that night). After the 2nd call was placed, the person there said there is a defect and to call Lowes. Needless to say, we have been without a refridgerator (which was paid for) for 6 days ... putting food in a cooler outside and using our neighbor's freezer. This issue is STILL NOT RESOLVED. I would make a recommendation to anyone not to order anything from Lowes which has to be delivered. read more
