When I got outside to meet the tech he told me, "don't worry I sealed the crack, but the sealant didn't work out right. And don't worry I wont charge you or your insurance company. And don't worry that crack will continue down to the bottom of the windshield and will stop at that point." That's great, but it doesn't address the fact that you broke my windshield (and the crack didn't it continued back up to the top). I used to fill cracks in windshields for a living on used cars. Occasionally after a 'drill and fill' I'd have an occasional crack (20% maybe) . I can own that. I feel like this was a ploy, 'Safelite repair, but Safelite would like to replace'. Don't be a pawn. Or you'll have to replace a $700 windshield too. Marketing doesn't replace skill. I'll be consulting a local glass company to get my glass replaced. 'Safelite Repair '(and hopefully don't realize inadequacy) and 'replace' (at unreasonable cost).
