I asked the State Farm dispatcher for recommendations from a local State Farm agent, and I'm glad I did. The place isn't fancy: the front office is in a mobile home and their facilities are spread out back. But they treated me so well! As someone stranded far from home, I felt well taken care of. The owner wrote his cell phone number on the back of his business card and insisted that I call him day or night. Parts for my vehicle (there were no dealers in New Mexico) took quite a while to arrive, but the staff were always friendly and helpful when I called to ask about the status. After I drove another car back a different location in Farmington, the body shop owner picked me up in person to deliver me to their office. I found my car repaired perfectly. This is a highly reputable and very customer-oriented business. I'd give them 6 or 7 stars out of 5 if I could.

Told them that camera is doing exactly what website says is reason for recall. They offered to fix it for $1,200+. I looked the Ford part up on the website on my phone and it was $48. Asked the guy about it and he gave me a "that's what it costs and we have to order a $700 part. He showed me his phone and it was a different part. Told him, no, I think I'll try myself. I ordered a $40 camera on eBay and it took me 30 minutes to fix myself. Damn thing works perfectly now. Yes, I am happy I saved that money and fixed it myself. However, if this is the kind of markup that these guys make on a simple repair, think of what they do to everyone else for other stuff- especially folks like my mom or other folks, who cant fix their stuff by themselves.

I really appreciated the advice, because some of the other places I called were considerably less helpful. Then when I got there I was greeted by the cutest little doggy! She kept me company while they worked on The window (10 min total). After they finished the guy reported that the crack hadn't been fully sealed due to dirt and other obstructions in the crack. The owner told me that while it was somewhat fixed, it wasn't perfect so he wouldn't charge me. I was shocked! Come here for good honest customer service. Also, he said if the crack ever starts growing to bring it back. I def will.
