Terrible, they'll damage your vehicle and tell you to kick rocks. It's a big business that doesn't care about you or anyone. The employees are very unprofessional and incapable of simple glass work. They will tag on hidden fees and screw you in the end. This company, Safelite, bought Sun Glass on 8th Ave in Durango, which had previously been Durango Glass...Under Sun Glass, we had a window repair that included a guarantee of free child repairs. Too bad that Safelite does not honor that agreement. We are trying to go out of town and had a chip to repair, and they want us to wait days to set up through Liberty insurance. By then the chip will run, as this is our only car. They already have terrible customer reviews, except, of course on their own site where the review button does not work! Terrible experience and terrible customer service. I had a windshield replaced and only 4 short months after my windshield had a pressure crack that came up. I tried to get ahold of safelite multiple times to try to talk through my situation to get it replaced under warranty but was sent to an automated machine multiple times. I left messages and a claim message multiple times online and heard nothing back. I will never use safelite again. read more

I set up an appointment to have my windshield replaced at my house and stayed home all day to meet with the repair person. I was set up for the afternoon and they called in the morning to confirm my appt. But then THEY NEVER SHOWED UP......NO CALL, NO TEXT, NO EMAIL.....NOTHING. Do not use this company! First and foremost, I have had several windshields repaired over the years but I've never been this disappointed. The first appointment, I waited 3 hours until I received a call that they wouldn't be coming out because they were "stuck in the snow" hmm...no snow accumulation in the Animas Valley. Then, the technician shows up and gives some standard speech that the chip may crack. Well, this was the tiniest chip and really I should have left it but I didn't. Huge mistake...my windshield now has a huge crack and I have to replace the entire windshield! The company was no help and really, I have no recourse. I had no choice in what company I used because my insurance would only use them. Quite frankly, why in the world would they ever be careful if they aren't on the hook for their workmanship? What a scam. Then I read all their negative reviews on BBB and Consumer Reports and now I'm thinking they shouldn't be in business! Same story, different city. Do not use this company here or anywhere. If they do a crappy job, no sweat off their back because you'll just pay more! I'm sure if they replace my windshield I can expect the same poor customer service as I've already received. If I could give them zero stars I would have! read more

TERRIBLE, NEVER AGAIN! Rescheduled 3 times, twice the day of install. Once after removing glass to find out they didn't have the correct windshield to replace it with so they had to put broken glass back in... Finally get the install done only to find a total hack job with $4,300 in damage to my car as quoted by 2 body shops for repairs. Glass shards and debris all over the inside of my car that was just detailed. 30 Min plus on hold any time you want to talk to someone. Finally got my photos of damage to manager after the first lady didn't send them. Not so much as an apology, a call or anything from Safelite. Just an email asking for 2 quotes from body shops. One of my worst experiences with a business ever. The Durango area is managed out of Albuquerque and they do not have a local shop so that makes it even better. read more

The technician did his job great but the star crack re-appeared the next morning. Safelite couldn't "repair a repair" and the only thing I could do is replace the entire windshield which is the dumbest thing ever. Definitely not using them again and will find a different place to fix it and pay out of pocket or just get a repair kit. read more
