Transition pieces were not properly glued down, baseboard nails were not set flush, and the caulking was poorly done--problems that are still visible today. I lived with these issues for years because fixing them once was not enough and I did not want to deal with the issue again. The manager at the time did offer me a partial refund so I didn't ask for a 2nd fix. In hindsight I should have. Recently, I re-engaged Jordans because I need to redo my flooring. Engaging with the current store manager I was told in person that we would be "taken care of" and "hooked up" because of the 2017 experience. What followed was a 10¢/sqft price reduction (about $55 total). When I raised this marginal discount, the alternative offered was removing recommended services of leveling and voiding warranty. This process wasted significant time and did not rebuild confidence with Jordan's. We chose another contractor.

We were supposed to…read morehave a meeting for selection and flooring measurements back in early May 2018 but had to reschedule twice - once cause of transit for me and second time cause she was ill.. Last I heard from her (asking me via email when she could come) was on May 28, 2018 which was approx the week after she recovered. Replied her via email the same day to let her know that my schedule was open and I can match her schedule. I sent her repeated text messages, emails and voicemails (never picked up her phone) every now and then for the next few weeks saying that was following up on my previous emails as I haven't heard back from her and would like to know when I could get the reschedule date. No response what-so-ever up till date (June 20, 2018). On the evening of June 20, 2018 I called the office to check if she had been away from the office during this period of time and they say she wasn't and will get her to give me a call. Got a call from her half an hour later basically telling me "she is not interested in doing the job and had emailed me (which I had never received) to let me know and she doesn't know why I keep contacting her". 1st of all, this is my first time hearing that a company representative accepting a job to a point of scheduling for selection and measurement to suddenly cancelling without due notice and reason. 2nd: Why she would think I would bother trying to reach her to see her availability (via text/call and emails) had I gotten that email she allegedly sent to say she isn't interested in doing the extra job is beyond me. 3rd would be nice of her to have at least the decency to reply text messages or give me a call if she saw my emails/messages instead of ignoring them. Last but not least her very rude phone call was uncalled for! Delayed my restoration work for almost 2 months. This review is solely based on the customer service I've received from one of the employees in this company and by no means necessarily extend to the other employees or company as a whole.

STAY AWAY!! DISHONEST, POOR WORK AND TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION…read more I hired them to redo all the engineered hardwood in my place following a flood caused by a dishwasher leak. They caused numerous delays in our repair schedule - nearly 5 months delay at their hands and they're not even attempting to come back and finish the job! Portions of the floor are uneven, not glued down as they are supposed to be, and not flush with other tile surfaces. In fact, a week before the job ought to have been finished, and after several delayed completion dates caused directly by them, my wife was having a baby in the hospital. The company co-owner, D. Murcia, emailed me saying he had removed the material from my place, which we paid for, and the job was half done. Further, he said they were not finishing the job unless I agreed to pay more money and that he spoke to other suppliers telling them not to do our job or provide us replacement product. We were totally HELD HOSTAGE and didn't have a choice but to accept the extortive, unreasonable demands because we needed to bring the baby home asap. Additionally, we paid for a premium product but they installed the grade below what we paid for. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU USE SOMEONE ELSE.

We ordered the carpet (50% due on order) with the understanding that Nufloors may need to hold it for a few weeks as we were out of country. The first glitch was when Kami sent an installation crew to our home based on a date I mentioned that we MIGHT be back. Unfortunately, we were still away. On installation day, Ron arrived at 9am to get started and said his nephew would be along soon. We started to feel like we had a problem when his worker still hadn't arrived by 1030. The assistant came around 1130 and the work began. The first two hours were a waste of time (glitch two). The guest bedroom is done and it looks beautiful - no seams necessary. Berber is usually thicker than most carpet. On top of the hairfelt underlayment, it is positively divine. Now, glitch three, they do not have enough underlayment to complete the job. Someone left a roll behind. This was to be a 2 -3 hour job. We are now 6 hours into it and it is still not done! The master bedroom required a seam. Although the installation has not gone smoothly, Ron clearly knows his stuff. There were two possible places for the seam to go. One location was very high risk - if the seam was not near-perfect it would be an eyesore. The other location necessitated a much longer seam, most of it would be under the bed. He chose to put the labor into the longer, safer seam. It looks fantastic. I'd like to give these guys 4 STARS - excellent product, excellent installation. The glitches account for the loss of a STAR. We'll have another installation to do soon and I will use these guys again.

Approximately 80 to 90% of the flooring supplied had major defects. sales rep at Exotic Stonewood…read moreflooring inspected and agreed the flooring has many defects, but the owner refused to return the product. The flooring had major flaws causing wasted production time and a rejection of more than half the shipment. On June 12th we purchased 2500 square feet of jatoba flooring. The flooring was a custom colour and had to be manufactured after we paid the full amount. Our professional flooring installer came August 31st to lay down the floor for the 2nd floor starting in the master bedroom and hallway. He proceeded to lay down the floor and found numerous defects in the wood finish. In addition, he found multiple boards where the factory cut ends were not square. Cuts were often 1/8 inch off over seven inches. The installer had never seen any shipment of flooring with more than a 5% rejection rate. The rejection rate here was in the range of almost 90%. you might get one or two boards out of the whole box The saleswomen at (ESF) was called at this point. she sent an inspector to see all the defect and agreed that the wood never should have been shipped. He advised that we try to finish the 2nd floor with the flooring meant for three floors, and any extra time our installer had to spend would be compensated directly by ESF. they informed us, our contractor, and our installer he would send a new shipment to replace all the deficient material. We had to spend approximately two days of our time opening boxes in search of flooring without defects including have to use a square to check every board end. When the 2nd floor was done we also noted that the floor boards often did not have the same height, a problem caused by the tongue and grooves not being manufactured consistently. Given the high rejection rate of the first shipment we let them know that we would need around 1000 to 1500 square feet more flooring to ensure we had enough to complete the main floor. when we called back the store we just got no answer and they refused to help us at all and since we opened all the boxes to finish 800 sqft they wouldn't return anything that has been open and every time we call they reply by FU*K OFF and go to court currently we are pursuing legal help to sue them i don't recommend you to buy anything from this store

I did, however like their website and the fact that they were a little shop tucked into the basement floor of a commercial building. I emailed Caspian with the questions that I had on a particular Bokhara rug they had posted on their website. Within 24 hours I received answers to my questions. First kudo. It was hard for me to purchase a carpet without seeing it first, so on our way home from a trip to Sechelt (about a month later) we made a detour and stopped into their shop. The shop was over flowing with beautiful carpets. Unfortunately for us, Caspian did not have the carpet I had originally asked about in their shop, but they did have a warehouse close by. The owner, Shahin, sent her clerk off to go look for it. While we waited, the owner listened carefully to me as I described the style and colour of carpet I was looking for. Second kudo. Unfortunately, for us we ran out of time as we had to catch the Canada Line for our flight home. While riding the train I received a call that they did not have the carpet I originally asked for but they had found another one they thought I would like. I asked Shahin to send me photos of it so I could consider it. About two days later I received the photos. The carpet was a beautiful, soft, hand knotted, wool Bokhara rug made in Pakistan. The price was very reasonable. Within 48hours of making my decision the carpet was in my living room. Third and final kudo. Couldn't be happier. I would definitely purchase from them again and would recommend them to family and friends. Marie
