They have a lot of great merchandise that you can sort of pick through (which I enjoy). They were very friendly, professional, and helped me bring my items to my car. My only setback in the transaction was that the layout of the store was so "nook and cranny" I had a hard time finding a salesperson...however, they ended up being in the back area refinishing some furniture, which I though was cool!! We have done business with Glamtic in the past, but not anymore. My wife inquired about the price and size of a chair (like normal people do when they buy something). I was not home when she did this so when I got home, she asked if we could purchase it. Since I am a teacher and don't get paid until the end of August, we decided we couldn't do it at this time. My wife is a considerate person, so she let them know we couldn't do it this time. They sent a nasty passive-aggressive response, saying she basically wasted their time. I go to this place regularly. The owners are great. They know me by name when I show up and are always pleasant and helpful. If they're closed, they will take the time to make an appointment and meet you at the shop. I really appreciate the level of creativity in their pieces. I can always find something I want when I walk through and there's so much to see I can never take it all in. It's great to support local small buisinesses. Lots of new pieces are posted on their Facebook page daily and there is almost no delay in getting a response to any question. There's a little something for everyone here. They have finished refurbished furniture and lots of rusty, crusty stuff that needs love. This place is right up my alley. read more

Even though I found some neat stuff here. 2 Major issues 1 ..The owners aren't rude but not overly friendly either, they were busy fixing something or helping other people which leads to issue number 2... the prices are not on any items and seem to very depending on the day and who you talk to. My friend was quoted 40 for an item on Facebook when she got there they charged her 50. They told my husband that an item was 50 when I went to pick it up they wanted to charge me 60. The prices are definitely firm they will not negotiate pricing. Trying to get help or find pricing and then keeping up with the prices they quoted you at the end of the trip was very frustrating. One person had to tell another person what they told us the price was. But that person was busy when we went to check out so we had to wait on them. Had the prices just been on the items this wouldn't be an issue Hopefully they will fix their pricing fluctuation so it makes it one price all the time. read more

My husband and I went to see if Mr Yoder wanted a couple pieces we had. He was interested in the brass sink we have. When he told my husband it only weighed 10lbs. my husband asked if he had a scale to weigh it. It was then Mr. Yoder got extreamly rude. He told my husband we needed to leave, and we weren't welcome back... For asking to weigh a sink???? He went to the back and got his wife and she came out like she was looking for a fight... Really???? For asking to weigh a sink??? I will never go to that junk pile again... I called to purchase a piece I seen on Facebook. Thomasville hutch. I asked Stephanie if she can do layaway. Stephanie said yes. I told her I was moving and wouldn't be able to pick it up till about Jan. 22 she said ok. I made my payments when I said I would ,one that day and another a day we agreed on. Keep in mind nowhere on their page does it say they keep furniture outside or "covered up". I was due to pick the piece up on the 22 of Janurary. I called and said I wasn't able to and they said it was fine plus it was raining and they didn't work the next day on Sunday. So on the 5th day after that I asked if they could deliver it they agreed for a fee of $45. They delivered it the next day. I was shocked when I looked at the piece!!! I was absolutely pissed off! It seemed to have been sitting outside for months. It has water damage, sun damage, the glasses took me forever to clean. They were disgusting. I opened the drawers and they had water stains and other stains, I don't know what of. I sent a message to them through Facebook so I could keep for my records because at this point I was not happy. I started to clean out a drawer and a TICK crawled out!! I sent a personal message thinking they would understand and maybe we could work something out. It didn't work that way. I even offered that they keep the $45 fee and for them to Give me back my $176 I paid them and for them to come pick up their furniture piece. It's actually junk. Believe me! They didn't want to work anything out. I'm going to stick to Farmgirls. These guys are horrible humans! I'm trying to post photos. I've tried many times but the business owners are rude and unprofessional. On top of that, they will agree to a price then change it at the last minute. My favorite is when they agreed for a price via Facebook. We went in to get it and they said they never agreed. When we said it was agreed last night on Facebook, they asked to see it. We pulled it up and realized they had DELETED THE COMMENT. There are so many great stores in town that don't behave like this. It isn't worth it. read more

I like this place. The male owner is a nice guy. Unfortunately, I was roaming in the area where his wife was painting furniture, I was embarrassed when she said, "excuse me, can I help you?" I told her I was just looking around for random things, then she told me that those things weren't for sale. It was pretty humiliating and I thought that they should have marked what things were "employees only" and which is for sale. They make up the price as you go. I got about 6 tiny rusted items, things like a rusted lid of a pepper shaker, two rusted toy train rails and other small things, came out to $5. I was originally told by another employee that those pieces I had in my hands were about 25 cents each. Two rusted rails for a toy train, a foot long of soldering iron wire, a rusted lid for an old pepper shaker, a rusted metal piece from door hinge, and something else I don't even know what, all of which fit in one hand. I bought them to add to a Star Wars diorama I was working on. I just wish they had actual prices put up rather than make up prices based on how many people are interested in the item. Their furnitures are almost the price of buying a new one. I just wish they had better costumer service from the owners wife. Other workers I've encountered were nice. I may not frequent this place like I would have had I gotten a better experience with clear pricing AND mark the items with price. read more

LISTEN TO THIS... They gave me the run around acting interested in an even trade for my mission style set with a dresser they had for the price of 300, plus delivery for an extra $75. A couple days go by of him asking questions and then he states that, " they're sick and can't do it". I say no problem. Then he messages if I can get it to them, he'd to it. By this time I'm thinking I'm over all this. Because he would actually be getting the better deal here and he's still not giving me a solid yes or no. But I try still. He says, "actually let me ask my wife her opinion " I say ok. He tells me "times are tough and he hopes I understand". (Of course I do) He states someone is coming later today to possibly buy the dresser I was interested in. ( To me deals off, right?) I tell him ok. Several days pass with no communication and he asks,"Have you sold your set yet?" I say yes. He tells me "good you can come buy mine then". I tell him I'm sorry I already bought another. He then tells me "WHATEVER " I'm then totally shocked lol. I don't understand why he's mad at me. He tells me then "actually I'm banning you from our page" and does. I couldn't even tell them how ridiculous he/they were being. I have the entirety of all conversations with them on my messenger. I wish I could upload them! I have loved coming to this place to see what old things I can find for my home and have them make look brand new again because they are very good at there job. I have purchased a few things from here. I had purchased a piece a about a week ago a dresser. I had put down a deposit on the dresser on Wednesday of last week and told them I get paid Friday I'll pay the rest. I get a call Friday that I needed to come pick up the piece because of "storage" problems. I had told them I was working and I wasn't able to come down before they close. I told them Monday would be best if not I possibly can Saturday I'll let you know. Sunday I had left to Arizona to help my parents move and she said she will give me until Wednesday today to come get it or she will charge me for storage fees. I told them I will be there that morning They open up at 10, this morning and Robert calls me at 10:30 and tells me they sold my piece that I bought, Stefani went against her word, and never told me that if I'm not there at exactly when they open they will sell the piece I had put a deposit down and was coming down today to pick it up, I don't have a truck so I was asking people today if I was able to use one. I just don't find this to be right because they won't even refund me my money and they said only store credit??? Who wants store credit and to shop at a place who treats a customer this way, on top of this my very first thing I purchased from them I told them a specific day I could come pick it up and they will have it all painted and ready to go when I got back to town, I show up at Glamtic and it wasn't even done she's been "busy" and forgot all about it. Lol. I have been a loyal customer and I come to browse often, and for them to treat a customer like this because they said I did not communicate with them, when I have every call and text on my phone indicating otherwise. Glamtic uses FAKE chalk paint that is made cheap locally. They do not fix mistakes, but instead blame the customer and try to charge more when they mess up. They do not follow through with what was agreed upon. They leave rough and uneven edges on cabinets. Refused to do the right thing and hold up there end of deal. Jack's true colors came out as he verbally attacked me with name calling, threats, and lies. They are not licensed contractors who legally cannot charge more than $499 to paint in your home. Please do not let them ruin your house like they did mine. I would give them NO star. read more

so when "jack" the owner of glamtic on Norris way in Bakersfield messaged me through market pl on purchasing a dresser off of me we made arrangements for him to come pick it up at my house!! When he "jack" the owner showed up at my house he tried offering me $20 less for the dresser even though my post said price is firm!! I said no he through a fit started calling me every name in the book got 6" from my face told him to get off my property over a dozen times he would not leave his exact words were "im going to sit right here" witch was on a dresser in my driveway!! He did not leave my property till I called the police but before driving away he took pictures of my family witch came outside due to his yelling pictures of me and my house!! VERY CREEPY I owned a business for 22 years never seen anything close to this situation!! Think twice before you give your address to jack!! He needs anger management!!! read more
