Jonathan and Michael from Glamour Decorating were the a pleasure to deal with and really earned their 5 star review. Initially my story with Glamour Decorating dates back over a year ago! I called them in for a quote on some fancy motorized shades that I wanted to control via my iPhone. I took 3 estimates and they were about 18% cheaper than the most expensive endorsed. So they get points for being the most competitively priced. Pricing aside, Jonathan was very professional throughout the entire process. We went back and forth many times before signing the contract and due to some unforeseen circumstances I had to place my purchase on hold. After 10 months I contacted Jonathan again to resume my order. He was a man of his word and did the job at the agreed upon price. I needed my order to be rushed and wanted it to be done before the party I was hosting. Valerie from the office called to schedule the installation a week before my party. When Michael came he was prompt and even wore special covers on his shoes ensuring that he doesn't scuff up my floors with his boots. After all the shades were done I inspected all of them and realized that one had a stain and needless to say I was very upset. I called Jonathan and he immediatey came to my house inspected the blind and assured me that everything would be corrected before my party. Two days later the fabric was replaced on site in my home and I am extremely pleased. If Glamour Decorating can satisfy me on all fronts: price, service, friendliness of staff, professionalism, high quality product, honesty, and integrity then they can satisfy anyone. I had found a great roofer named Sean. He did a wonderful job on my roof and noticed that I was badly in need of some window treatments. He recommended Glamour Decorating; and told me to request Jonathan specifically. Jonathan recommended that I have a look at his photo portfolio on his website before he comes by - I loved what I saw. He came over, measured the windows and showed me different fabric options. This guy has the patience of a saint and answered all of my questions; no matter how perplexing they might have been. I was a bit confused as to which style to pick and Jonathan explained the pros and cons of each. I ended up selecting a blackout Roman Shade for my bedroom and a vision shade for my living room. The vision shade would allow me to have both light and privacy at the same time - a feature which I really loved. After I placed the order they told me that the shades would be delivered in about 4 weeks. The installation day finally came and I met with Michael and his father Nick. They were true gentleman that worked neatly and efficiently. Once the shades were installed they explained to me how to use and maintain them. After seeing some of Glamour Decorating's re-upholstery work at my friends house I decided to give them a shot. I had them re-upholstery my late grandmother's antique love seat. I must say I am very pleased with the results. The love seat is very sentimental to me and has been in the family for over 50 years. Abraham recommended that we leave some of the scuffs that were on the wood detailing so that the chair retains some of its original character and I loved that idea - especially since I scratched one of the legs playing with my brother at her house. I'll never forget how calm she was about that and just laughed it off with us! Apparently her seat was of the highest quality. The cushions were filled with goose down and the back of the couch was filled with horse hair. I never even knew that stuff was in furniture! Abraham showed me a fabric that was almost exactly the same as the original which I was extremely excited about. I really can not believe the quality of the workmanship and the attention to detail that went into this project. These people really care about what they do and it shows. I am looking forward to passing down this piece of furniture to my grandchildren one day. read more

Jonathan came to my home and listened to the problem I was hoping to solve by installing some new drapes. I didn't want a basic window treatment. I wanted dramatic, wall to wall and floor to ceiling drapes to block out sound and light in a room facing a sometimes noisy sidewalk. He spent time describing various options to me and made suggestions about what might best work for the space. He provided what he believed to be a good ball-park estimate. When I showed him a sample that I was hoping he could replicate, he immediately found several similar options in a variety of price points. He explained the time involved, and the office called me within a few weeks to arrange a time to install. His team came and completed installation in under an hour. The drapes look great! I contacted Glamour Decorating about shades for my living room, my master bedroom and my guest room. Initially when I called I was scheduled for a free consultation where the owner Abe came out and showed me different colors and swatches. I am super happy with my shades. They look great in my home. During my first consultation the lead Consultant Jonathan came to my home and suggested that I get the top-down bottom-up shades since the view outside of my window isn't great. I already had a color in mind but he helped me pick a color that matched my decor perfectly. Once I selected the product I wanted I placed the order with him and about 2 weeks later his staff called to schedule my installation. I was happy that they kept me informed on my order and Valerie was great when helping me pick a installation date that fit my schedule. Overall my experience was great and I would recommend Glamour Decorating to anyone who needs window treatments. read more

As soon as I made an appointment at the Short Hills Mall, I was bracing myself for this process in advance because I was ready for it to be the most tedious, time consuming process on earth, as everything else was for my home. *sigh* I was proved wrong when Jonathan came by, got an Idea of my style. He measured my windows and started showing my husband and I pictures, fabrics, and styles. We don't know much about all this so it felt quite overwhelming. Jonathan assured me that I just had to chose a themes and he offered me combinations of fabrics and styles that were in my "style category" and made it the best experience ever and we can't be happier with the finished product. Had absolutely no clue about anything that had to do with window treatments. But waking up every day at the crack of dawn is not something that I wanted to do. I tried putting up a sheet, that didn't work. Towel, no luck. I needed professional help. Called these guys from the display at the short hills mall and explained to them my problem. They suggested that I should get a cell shade that can open from both the top and the bottom. I really liked that idea. Shade keeps the light out and I get to sleep late! read more
