I have never bothered to ever write an online review, but my experience with J&S was so superior from start to finish that I had to help spread the news. I had a hard time choosing between several viable options that my decorator helped me to find because they were all so attractive, but I am beyond pleased with the 2 that I purchased. I ended up going with just 2 good value selections, but I am astounded at the results. J&S uses such high quality carpet padding and their installation crews are so thorough and conscientious that my good value options turned out more like top of the line choices! Furthermore, the customer service from beginning to end was also so prompt and courteous that I felt like a VIP even though it was my very first time shopping here. Dawn and her installation crews were so professional that it was almost too good to be true. One of my choices was able to be installed immediately, but I had to wait on the other because it was a special order. However Dawn kept me abreast of the status of my order and promptly set up delivery and installation upon its arrival. I truly could not be more delighted as both choices exceeded my expectations as far as product quality and the installation process. I'm just sorry that I don't have more flooring to purchase at this time. But when I do, I will certainly put J&S at the top of my list based upon my experience. In our search for a dining room rug, we decided to visit J&S in Morristown because we were told they had a large selection of quality rugs. Not only did they have a wide variety of beautiful carpets, the decorator/salesperson was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. Sam discussed country of origin, product quality, and price with absolutely no sales pressure. Because my purchase was going to be a long term investment as well as a work of art, I did quite a bit of research and comparison. The more I learned and saw, the more I was sure that J&S was the company with which I would deal. Our handmade wool rug was delivered within days by Orlando and Chris. It was laid carefully with respect to my home and furniture. Even when I thought it was fine, they continued to position and smooth my carpet until it was perfect. After replacing the table and chairs, the room had a beautiful new focal point. I've purchased rugs, carpeting, and stair runners several times over the years from J&S and have always been very satisfied with their broad range of offerings as well as their knowledge -- I highly recommend checking out their remnant room! I recently used them to strip our hardwood floors and re-stain them a darker color and was very impressed with their work. Their estimate was thorough and accurate; they moved heavy furniture with care and know-how; and they were very professional on the job -- the floors look beautiful! This was an over-due project because I was dreading the mess and upheaval, but all went seamlessly. We called them back a few months later after we ripped out some built-in cabinetry only to discover that the floors underneath were unfinished. Balthazar from J&S came back and did a great job patching, sanding, weaving in and staining the new flooring. You could never tell the floor had been patched -- he did excellent work! read more

A friend of ours recommended Sima and J&S. From the moment we called the store, Sima called us back right away and scheduled a consult. She came exactly when she said she would and offered us great advice for our house. As we were looking for a runner she matched our style and respected our budget. My wife went to the shop and picked out a carpet on Tuesday - Sima had it installed on Friday. The installers were incredible. They arrived early and finished a 2 day job is a single long day. Can not express my gratitude for the expediency and professionalism of which Sima handled my issue with. I have a beautiful antique oriental rug that has sat on a horrible piece of padding for years. I knew it needed replacing however, I just kept making excuses because I didn't want to have to move the piano and grandfather clock that also resided on this rug. In a safe and socially distanced way, J&S helped direct our young daughter away from her initial vision and towards a beautiful rug for her bedroom that she loves - and we adults love too! Fabulous experience with J&S. As we know, the installation is key. This was an area rug for my living room. The install involved furniture placement, rug straightening, figuring out the best rug angle, cutting the padding correctly, etc. The team who did the install were tremendously courteous and professional. Sima has been nothing but wonderful. I have bought several area rugs from her. My front entrance rug was in need of a cleaning and the binding was starting to come undone. We dropped the rug off and she called to tell me it wasn't worth it to repair and clean she helped come up with a replacement option right away. She was honest and respectful.
