I'm a new makeup artist and I felt like I needed to gain more experience with working with different makeup and different skin types. Glam Lab really helped me perfect my skills and taught me to work at a faster pace. The instructors were EXTREMELY helpful and so nice! ***update*** Look I really don't appreciate your dishonesty. 3 days after class you guys mailed it out? Either I'm blind or illiterate but the date stamped on the envelope was after March 11, 2017. Do not think for one second I will be driven by any compensation you may have. I do not appreciate being made for a fool and know that you guys didn't ship these on the day you are claiming. I gave you guys 2 stars but reduced it to 1 star now for how you are handling this mess of a situation. The post office date stamps NEVER lie, people do! 1 star as Yelp doesn't give anything less. And don't even tell me that 99% of the time, I have seen past reviews. 1% is still too many times and hopefully this will help your team hold whoever is responsible for printing those certificate liable. I really wanted to give them a great rating but I think they can work on their business etiquette a lot more. Signing up for the class was difficult as they are hard to reach, your left in the dark about a lot of things. To be honest they were unorganized from the start, the instructor forgot everyone's certificate in their Sausalito office even though we all know it would have only taken them 20 minutes to go get them. I waited 3 weeks for my certificate till this date still has not arrived . Funny thing is they will respond to any questions you have prior to you taking the class try would gladly answer any questions and take your money. Once the money is given there is a hue lack of effort from the staff. No return calls or emails. I kept in touch with 5 of the people from my Class we were completely ignored. if you choose to take this class be adamant about them giving you your certificate before you leave other wise be prepared to wait two months before you get your ProCard from any makeup company you apply. The process is already long. Honestly if for any reason they don't have your certificate when you pay for it, leave and sign up another weekend. It's unfair to pay for something and the business not withhold their promises to the student. Pros: you learn a lot in this class no matter how experienced you are. Cons: disorganized, teachers are not well prepared, you won't get your certificate until about 1 month after. If it wasn't for how they treated us after they took our money I would have given them 5 stars but I always judge a business for how they treat you after you pay them. read more

This is the worst business I have ever dealt with. I can hardly call this a business, a scam is what you are. This was a class that I was looking forward to and for the price I don't think it was worth that much. Also, I never received my certificate at the end of the class. I took mine at the Houston location. The instructor was informative but I was expecting different stuff and this was the very basic level that you can get off any YouTube tutorial. I haven't received any info on when I will be receiving the certificate. The class was long and didn't need to be. They have a very long lunch break which is kind of useless coz most of the people are done in 15-20 mins and the class had to go overtime. It's very disappointing and very unprofessional to not have a certificate ready at the end of the class and the details about pro cards and all the info is not clear when registering because you have to contact them again to receive the procard which I did and haven't heard back anything. The class structure is alright for beginners but depending on how you are paired and the learning curve of the other person, it sometimes gets annoying when your partner is not very receptive. Update: I was emailed the certificate the very next day and also received the hard copy via mail. They have been very helpful regarding everything and I would love to attend another one of the advanced techniques class. Update to update: I am still waiting on the referral letter. read more

I took class here about one month ago. It was very useful experience. I didn't have no problems with certification. I got it right after class . Day of the class pass very fast . I use new information everyday . The class for the beginners will work for you no meter what you know about make up . Unless you are already make up artist then they will have advance classes for you . However , you will talk in the beginning of the class with educator to make sure you sight up for the right class . I found this out a good sign . They do care what they teach you and care about their reputation . I got kit from them with everything to start practicing make up on my friends and family . I took this class a while back along with a friend for moral support. When I attended the class I was expecting something completely different. Not only did they not have our certificate ready by the end of our class but it took almost 4 months to get it. My friend didn't receive hers on the day of the class due to misspelling of her name. Once she received her certificate, 4 months later, her name was still misspelled! The techniques taught during this course are such a joke! The instructor said my eyebrow was uneven and that she was going to even it out. She cut half my eyebrow off! Do not waste your $200 on this course! and do NOT buy the makeup brushes they sell you. You can find those on eBay and amazon for like $10! read more

The class started off somewhat okay, however once we got to the make up portion of the class, working on each other I was a very disappointed. Each and every person that was in the class was Black American women with the exception of one Latina woman. The makeup was not designed for women with a deeper rich skin tone, we walked out of there looking like we had "black face" as if we were about to star in an old 1940's movie all we were missing was the white lips and the white eyebrows. GloRiz was sweet and down-to-earth, the other people that were there with her we're a little stuck up to me, which means I didn't feel like they were very friendly at all. In this type of business you have to make people feel comfortable with you. I really didn't feel welcomed in, I was the only legally blind visually impaired woman in the class and I felt as if I was treated as if I wasn't even in the room. Overall I learned a few techniques that I didn't know, which I will be incorporating in my own style of doing makeup. Thanks! read more

Class was good for a someone like me who is starting to do makeup. Jacob was great, but Marbella did not look or act professional, her hair was a mess and she yawn and look very weary. Class did not start on time, we had to wait outside by the door for 10 min, hoping that we are at the right place and later on Jacob lectured how we should always be on time for work. I'm counting on my certificate to come in mail since it was not ready on Sunday. read more

My expectations were exceeded when I walked away with a clear direction and goal for my career. I just took this class yesterday on Sunday, November 22, 2015 with Gol and I LOVED IT!!! She is the founder of Glam Lab and has so much knowledge to share. She is awesome!!!! The class goes by super fast and it is very informative, if you decide to take this class be sure to take lots of notes. The business part goes by super fast as well and I'm super bummed I missed a little bit of it because I was still working on makeup. I was put in a group of 3 and we took a little longer than the rest of the class. I also ended up buying the jumbo kit and I'm super excited about it. It has a lot of pallets and all the brushes. I had such an amazing time in my Glam Lab workshop in February 2019!!! Golriz is so incredibly gifted and extremely knowledgeable!
