Love love love Kristen! I've been seeing Kristen for about a year (since Lauren went on maternity leave). She does an amazing job. She has a lot of options for lashes, I stick to my usual "natural" look. I find it difficult to find an artist that can please both types of customers which is why I'm so impressed with Kristen. Sometimes not being selective on who does this service may result in damaging your own lashes. That's why is stick to my girls, (Lauren & Kristen). Kristen is very professional. I've been going to her since she was at Garnet. It's unfortunate to see a review where someone is irresponsible and flaky, yes you girlfriend, but blames the business owner. Have I missed my appointment?, yes! I took responsibility for what I did and paid the service fee. Kristen tried to work with me.. Update Originally I set this up for one star but considered a 3 after considering I may have been harsh and emotional. However i regret my decision. She immediately sent me a nasty "complement" after I updated my review Miss, you're not out $90 I am and yet you are still being hostile to me? And yelling at me？ If this is the standard of Monterey I am definitely going to Los Angeles. I have never been yelled at the way I have here for paying someone for nothing and how proud they are of their service which I did not recieve. Updated review ------- May not be clear for those who never got their lashes done in Monterey so be prepared to pay $90 to $200+ in a late fee if you miss your appointment which is what happened to me as I was very ill. No negotiating though she gave me half which in this industry is fair. This warning can be better clarified at all lash studios, there are no exceptions Also general lack of interest in servicing after you are late once and charged the fee. Again a general issue at all lash studios. Frankly this is too rigid and should be communicated much better but this is apparently a standard in Monterey but not San Jose, Los Angeles or any other places likely due to volume and rent. A better system should be implemented as the unaware would be out hundreds easily. read more
