We've been going to Gladly regularly since day one as it's very close to the house. This is, hands down, the best option for quick quality food in Casa de Oro. It's 1000x better than Starbucks, faster too. Their drinks are good, but the food is truly the standout here. I've never once had something I didn't like here and I've been literally more times than I can count (typically a few times a week since they opened). When working remote, the highlight of my day was going and enjoying various drinks from gladly. Most notable is a peanut butter latte, Matcha, berry cooler, and the vegan Mocha. I've had multiple coconut Matcha and other lattes as well. Their food is absolutely scrumptious! Seriously some of the best drive-through coffee breakfast I've ever had everything's delicious. All of the sandwiches are to die for the bagels are great. They loaded up sometimes a little bit too much. I have no complaints about gladly. In the years that I have frequent in here, I have never had more than one mistake that the owners were quick to fix. Additionally, it's nice that they have a rewards program. I've been living in the area for a couple months now and I've always seen the drive through packed. I finally decided to give it a try and see if I was able to do some work and I really recommend to go if you want a loud enough environment so you can be on meetings with your AirPods and also plenty of outlets next to tables. I have not been inside this coffee shop, but went through their drive thru. I loved that they labeled for gluten free and were able to accommodate my gluten allergy. However, not everyone was super knowledgeable and got gluten and dairy confused, which could be super dangerous and life threatening. Fortunately, I caught that and asked again to double and triple check. I went three times while visiting from Northern California. The first visit was great, great coffee and the worker was super nice. The second visit, they were super busy and the workers were less friendly and acted annoyed when I asked questions because my son who is celiac wanter a smoothie and i needed to know if the king kong milkshake was safe, which it wasn't due to cross contamination issues with the peanut butter. I love the dirty harry coffee. So good! I would recommend and come back if ever back in the area. read more

For the food I'd give a solid 5 stars, the coffee is a 2-5 depending on the day & the staff. Unfortunately I'd have to round this out to a 3 because it seems every time I come the quality of the drinks are not consistent. 1 day I can come and have an amazing cookie butter iced latte, so good in fact I come back the very next morning to order it again only to get a latte that is watery on the top and so thick on the bottom it was like cookie sludge. It's upsetting to come here and feel as if I'm taking a gamble with my daily caffeine fix never knowing if I'm going to get a good drink or not and which such a shop and drive through it's a hassle to try and return the drink. I've tried hot lattes, iced lattes, and the cold brew and although their coffee has a good flavor the inconsistency with the drink making process is a real problem. Now the breakfast sandwiches on the other hand? Absolutely 5 stars! I've tried pretty much all of them with the protein option and they're amazing! It used to be a great place to get work done, have a meeting, or simply shoot the breeze with friends, but now they only have the drive thru open. I am not a fan of that. The BIG BUT is that when I told them that I had Celiac Disease and had to eat strictly gluten free the woman at the register immediately said I couldn't, the toasters are shared. Big bummer but kudos to her for knowing! It looks from other reviews people that are intolerant are having success but those of us with Celiac should NOT eat their GF free toasted items. A non-celiac friend got their seasonal pickle tots and she said were delicious. I didn't ask about their safety because they had a dairy and egg containing sauce on them, so I couldn't eat them anyway. We went around nine on a week day, and the place was pretty busy but we were able to get cozy seats. I couldn't make up my mind so I also ordered the Peanut Butter Chai ( Salty Peanut Butter Flavors Blended with Spiced Chai) Iced, with oat milk to drink for later. My hubby ordered the Peanut Butter Latte Cold Brew hot (Salty Peanut Butter Flavors Blended with cold brew Coffee ) Also ordered the Bacon Breakfast Jack Bagel Sammy (Crispy Bacon, Turkey, Melted Pepper Jack Cheese, Garlic, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, on an Everything Bagel) So I REALLY liked and enjoyed the recommended Lemon Poppyseed Latte. I usually come here on my lunch break, and I love that they have a drive-through it's perfect when you're short on time and need something quick and easy. My go-to order is the Chimichurri Steak Sandwich and the Dirty Harry latte. I've tried other items, but I always end up coming back to these two. The only reason I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars is because the sandwich hasn't been super consistent. Sometimes they add plenty of sauce (which I love), and other times it's a bit light. It might seem like a small detail, but it really changes the overall flavor of the sandwich. I'm not usually a big coffee drinker since strong coffee can give me a headache when it's too strong, but the Dirty Harry latte is perfect it has just the right balance of coffee and sweetness, and it's nice and creamy. I also tried the Bee's Knees latte, but it wasn't my favorite. I normally love lavender milk teas/coffees. The lavender flavor tasted artificial & powdery and nothing like lavender. I haven't had a chance to sit inside yet since I'm usually in a rush, but from what I've seen peeking in, the ambiance looks nice like a cute cafe! Overall, this is a solid spot if you're craving a good sandwich and coffee. I'm also excited to try their pumpkin chai as I believe it's a seasonal drink. read more

They did an amazing job remodeling it, looks great and it's very spacious, they have plenty of seating areas from communal tables, to the bar area, more private small tables, a very welcoming living room area with a couch and also outside seating. The parking lot is a bit small and it gets busy especially on weekend mornings with the drive thru service. There's also a merch area. They have an extensive menu including breakfast and lunch items, pastries ,coffees, teas, smoothies and shakes. I wanted to try it all but I ended up ordering their breakfast jack bagel Sammy, garlic bread with tomato sauce, cubanito sandwich, a strawberry banana smoothie dairy free, an almond croissant and a delicious blended moonlight magic latte. So this was a little adventure while killing time in this area. This is a fully drive through experience so don't park. There is a QR code for the menu, but if you keep going there is a full menu board near the order point. The food comes up pretty quickly as they have a team working to get the foods and drinks going. The chai latte was amazing, but my gf wasn't the biggest fan of the Kyoto Cold Brew. As for the food my gf loved her turkey pesto sandwich, while my toast good have used a bit more salt or seasoning. I went here on accident after some mural painting with a friend and it was so good! I got birria sliders and a lavender pollen latte with soy and it was delicious. I ended up stopping by again on a road trip to Arizona (I forgot what drink I got but I got the ham and cheese croissant for food) and the service and food was just as great the second time. This has quickly become one of my new favorite coffee shops! I've been a few times now, and I've always enjoyed my drinks. The menu offers such a great variety, from juices and smoothies to, of course, coffee and lattes. They even have breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Recently, I tried the Dirty Harry Latte, and OMG--it was amazing! It's definitely my new favorite latte and current obsession; I even had it twice this weekend! Highly recommend giving it a try. I did substitute oat milk, and while I'm not sure if it's listed on the menu, there's a $1 charge for milk alternatives. I'm giving Gladly 4 stars instead of 5 because, while I've always been happy with my drinks and love the variety on the menu, the two food items I tried recently didn't quite meet my expectations. I had the Mr. Avo-Tom sandwich, which was a bit messy (the avocado was all over), and for the price, I think the egg portion could be a little bigger or there could be an option to add protein at a more reasonable cost. The Cobbler Oats were good but lacked some flavor. There are so many great options on the menu, so I'll definitely try other items, but that's just my honest take on those two. Overall, I'd still highly recommend Gladly Coffee! It's a fantastic addition to Spring Valley, and the customer service is always top-notch. I've been wanting to try this place for so long and I finally got to try it today and man have I been missing out!!!! This is most likely my favorite coffee shop in San Diego just because it has everything not only great coffee, but great food and also drive-thru, which is a pretty hard combination to find. Walked in and automatically loved the vibe inside plenty of seating and parking. The staff are pretty friendly and patient. We had a huge order. We wanted to try everything and they were really helpful. The food and coffee came out perfect and honestly quicker than expected. Everything we tried was so good. We can't wait to come back again.
