The tennis tournament fee of $90 was charged and confirmed. Before the game, when I was checking the schedule, I found my son was not on the draw, he was put back to alternate without any notice. I had to contact NTC to understand why. Then I was told sorry for the confusion you are alternate. It looks like they changed back to 8 player draw without any notification. And I was refunded $75 out of $90 I paid, as the rest $15 was processing fee?!!! Please be cautious about joining any NTC tournaments, other parents who were selected said, the tournament was poor managed and waiting time is really long for already accepting more than the capacity.

However, over time, I feel the facility has gradually lost some of its "premium" feel due to a number of recurring operational issues. There appear to be several systemic problems that impact the overall member experience: Studio and Class Technology Frequent issues with audio equipment in class studios. Microphones often do not work or batteries are not charged. Classes are routinely delayed due to technical problems, which is frustrating during a 45-minute session. Locker Room Maintenance Inconsistent availability of hand towels. Non-working TVs. Only one functioning hair dryer. A general lack of attention to detail that affects the experience. Towel Service One of the most noticeable changes has been the reduction in towel availability during workouts. In the past, towels were consistently stocked and accessible throughout workouts. That service level contributed significantly to the premium experience and convenience. Trainer Support The trainers themselves are strong and professional, but they seem to lack adequate support from management, particularly regarding equipment reliability and coverage when someone is out. As a long-time member, I share this feedback because I'd like to see the HealthPlex return to the level of operational excellence that originally set it apart. Many of these issues seem solvable with stronger oversight, maintenance consistency, and attention to detail.

The manager, Brad, has many years experience on the premise and knows how to make it a comfortable experience for most everyone who visits. The board has done a great job of spending limited funds where they are most effective. The end result is just a nice place to spend a couple hours, or more, a couple of days, or more, a week. One of the new additions this year is D'Cappos providing food from the "snack" deck. The everyday provisions are fine and the add ons during the weekend are fantastic!! Jerry brings high end restaurant food to the little shack on the snack deck. Tonight I took Cavatelli with a light white garlic and fresh squash sauce and a delicious Bruchetta home. Can't do that at any other pool I've ever been to. Where did that come from?? The board made another good decision from my point of view. Although workers were driving by to roll the turf and they kept on driving near us instead of saying anything and checking us out. I don't know what's that about but overall I highly recommend cuz it has all the fields you need. It's also located right next to a residential homes, for elders to walk by.

For our family, WSC serves multiple purposes. My husband is an active tennis player who tries to play at least twice a week. Considering how brutally cold Chicago winters are, it wouldn't be feasible to play outdoors during the winter months. So with WSC, he has been able to find a community of players to play throughout the winter. On the weekends, my husband would give our young girls and cousins private tennis lessons. There are four, all year-round, indoor courts, and eight dome courts for the winter. We have been consistently going every weekend for the last four months and have yet to encounter any availability issues. In addition to tennis, our girls have also joined the swimming lessons. For level 3, there are usually 2-4 instructors. Thus far, we have had a good experience with Ms. Abby, Mr. Christopher, and Ms. Christina. The class size is generally around 8-12 kids depending on attendance. Knowing how young children are, it takes a ton of effort and patience to get them to listen to instructions. Huge kudos to these instructors for having that high-level patience! As for myself, I would utilize the gym equipment such as treadmills, ab machines, and weights. All of the equipment are well maintained and clean. WSC could get busy on the weekends but I have not had trouble with machine availability. All in all, WSC is a solid place for anybody looking for a place to play indoor tennis, have young children who are interested in swimming, and/or just trying to maintain healthy life choices.

This includes wonderful trainers who can take you from zero to hero as far as someone who NEVER works out, to someone who can develop a fitness routine. Programs: Lots of great programs like Tennis-In-No-Time, swim lessons for kids, and as I said before, great trainers you can book to achieve your personal goals. Tons of equipment to choose from in a bright, open space. Some regulars you can get to know and learn techniques from. CONS: Pool area feels too "open". Don't need peep windows all around the pool. I felt weird swimming in there so I never did. Close it off. Management change up/corporate vibe. Don't let you even hold your account for a month now (even though they used to). It's a pricey, luxury gym with clients that pay more to get more so making people jump through tons of hoops to hold a month for travel, work, etc doesn't gel with that vibe. If you give a months notice this should allow plenty of time to adjust staffing. You have to pay extra for a lot of stuff, so in order to use a lot of what really makes a gym like this worth the extra $ in the first place, you have pay EVEN MORE. Otherwise you are mostly utilizing equipment, classes, and such that you can get at other gyms for way less.

It's a great park because it offers so much and is open to the public at no cost. There are basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball fields and bleachers, multi-purpose fields, an in-line skating rink, restrooms, a picnic shelter, and tons of trails (paved and unpaved). The park district does an excellent job of maintaining the fields and courts, and keeping the trails clean. I am most excited because when my husband and I went for a bike ride today, we saw them working on adding more trails! The paved trails are really great because they are smooth and wide, perfect for runners, walkers, bikers, or skaters. The dirt trails are a little more rough, but a lot of fun because they run along a river and there aren't as many people on them. We rode on a couple today and got quite muddy, but it's great fun!
