They were able to do the job within a few days. On the day to do the work, they were prompt, they got right to work. They were very thorough and took great care in even marking stepping stones to lay the bark and then place the stones back in the exact places. They put the bark under plants and did a really good thick layer. They promptly got more material as soon as it was evident it was needed but they notified me first. Payment for the work was quick and easy via Venmo. I would use them again. Very pleased.

I spoke with Rod Luppi on August 23 when selecting a remnant for a shelf in my kitchen. He shared…read morethat they were not really busy and my shelf should be completed sometime the following week. I paid him in full and left. Once I got home, I realized that I could use the whole remnant. I need to know the price and measurements of the remaining piece to confirm. I left a message with my specific measurement and details for my call, requesting a callback. Not receiving a call back, I left another message and sent Rod a message through Facebook since that was our first point of contact. No response! I called back again the following week, and someone answered the phone this time. He said they were on a delivery, but would call me the following day. He even acknowledged receiving the messages with my details; however, no apology for not returning the calls. - That was Thursday, Sep 4. To date, that call has not been returned. Over the past weeks, I have made several other attempts to reach Rod, or anyone at Cassarino's - with no luck. I left yet another very detailed message simply stating that I was not expecting my small order to take precedence over any existing job. But I did pay in full and wanted the item I paid for. If they changed their mind and no longer wish to do the small job, please refund my money--still no call, text, or response from my Facebook outreach. I even went by on Saturday at 10:00 to see if they were there since I selected my piece on a Saturday. No luck - the business was closed! After feeling so frustrated, I then looked at Yelp to see if my experience was isolated. I can see that it isn't. I like supporting local shops when possible, and I grew up in Loomis, so I felt good about supporting this business. However, after my experience and the comments on Yelp, I don't see how this business will survive delivering service like this. This may be why they have minimal business over the coming weeks. Returning a call or refunding my money isn't an unreasonable request! I am glad this wasn't a big job when I put thousands down. If you are looking for granite or marble to do a home or office project, I wouldn't recommend this business!

I'm a little leery of the Facebook scams so I asked lots of questions and he was able to provide a legitimate business, name and address and phone number and I looked this company up. Although they were legit, they didn't have the best ratings (mostly because of communication, not answering the phone or returning calls), but I decided to chance it and give them the benefit of the doubt. Keep in mind I was about to pay hundreds of dollars for a slab of granite that I hadn't seen with my own eyes. He promised a really beautiful piece of stone for a great price and he even sent me pictures of the measured out section of the slab that he was going to cut for my project in advance. My experience with them was a 10 out of 10. They collected a deposit, they cut the stone when they said they would, they polished the stone when they said they would and delivered the stone when they said they would. And it's beautiful. I found FISH Landscape and Maintenance on the contractor board at Green Acres. If you've ever…read morelooked at that board, you know there are a lot of business cards to choose from. FISH stood out to me because of the simple design of their card and because they specifically mentioned that they handle both small and large projects. That was important to me because my project was relatively small: installing one 25-gallon tree, one 15-gallon plant, and four 1-gallon plants, along with checking the irrigation, emitters, and the health of the other plants in my yard. From the moment Joe got out of his truck, I could tell there was an openness about him and that he was knowledgeable about landscaping. He definitely proved me right. After the introductions, I took him to my backyard and showed him some of the issues I was having. Almost immediately, he was down on the ground examining the rocks, soil, irrigation lines, and emitters. He noticed that the soil was overly saturated and suggested that we cut back on the watering. Joe took the time to explain our clay soil and how difficult it can be for water to penetrate and drain properly. He also examined the other plants and explained that too much water could be accumulating below the roots, potentially causing root rot. That appeared to be exactly what happened with one of our trees that had died--we found a tremendous amount of water around the base. I went one step further and capped the irrigation to make sure there wasn't a leak. Joe suggested waiting about a week to see what happened before moving forward. Over the course of that week, the area finally dried up, confirming that overwatering appeared to be the problem. I let Joe know the results before I had even signed a contract with him. Once I received the quote, we agreed on a date for the project. What impressed me was that Joe didn't just tell me what needed to be done. He took the time to explain WHY it needed to be done. On the day of the project, I met with Joe and his crew before they started. Joe went through the entire project and explained what they would be doing. It was nice knowing that we were all on the same page, and everything he discussed was exactly what was included in the quote. Speaking of the quote, it was very clean, detailed, and easy to understand. One small thing really stood out to me while I watched the crew install the new tree. They kept turning and adjusting it to find the best-looking side and make sure it was centered properly. It may seem like a small detail, but to me, it showed that the crew actually cared about how the finished project looked. They weren't just trying to get the tree in the ground and move on to the next job. I also appreciated that Joe didn't just show up at the beginning and disappear. I saw him at the beginning of the project, again during the work, and at the end. Everything went smoothly. But one thing Joe said during his original visit really surprised me. After examining the soil, rocks, irrigation lines, and emitters, he told me, "If you don't go with us, pass this information along to whichever landscaper you choose." I've dealt with a lot of businesses over the years, and I don't remember anyone ever saying something like that. He was willing to give me the information I needed even if his company didn't get the job. That told me a lot about Joe and the way he does business. From the initial visit through the completion of the project, I felt like Joe and his crew cared about doing the job correctly--not just getting the job done. I highly recommend reaching out to Joe and FISH Landscape and Maintenance and allowing them to earn your business. I don't know if FISH was the cheapest or the most expensive, and honestly, that wasn't the most important thing to me. What I needed was trust, follow-through, knowledge, accessibility, promptness, cleanliness, good communication, and a company that did what they said they were going to do. That's what I got.

First off, I have to say great service! Willis stands by his motto "Quality Service Guaranteed"…read more.. My "regular" maintenance guy couldn't make it to service my yard and I had really important guests coming over that weekend. I called around all the other landscape maintenance guys in the Auburn area, and they all pretty much laughed at me saying that nobody would service my yard in such short notice.. I was beginning to lose hope and made one final call to MV Maintenance and spoke with Willis(very professional BTW)... He told me he was backed up the whole day with clients and said to me that he'll see if he could squeeze me in later in the day.. So I waited anxiously thinking that he was just giving me the run-around like all the guys had done prior.. Time was definitely of the essence and I began to panic.. Sure enough, Willis and his crew pulls up and saved the day.. They began repairing the broken sprinkler that my neighbor had ran over the week before and cleaned up my yard, exceeding all of my expectations.. I am now considering letting my regular maintenance guy go and having Willis and his crew as my regulars.. These guys are very professional, courteous and get the job done.. Thank you guys, I really appreciate the service!!
