Look at my reviews. 95% are 5 stars. We were the injured party, and we want to prove it. His reply is a lie. He was hired to complete the entire inside and outside of the house for sale, including prep and paint, installation of new light fixtures, kitchen faucet, towel racks, toilet paper holders, ceiling fan, range hood, baseboards, and more.
Two other contractors, the bathtub and the carpet, were following him and had their appointments canceled or delayed when they showed up because he did not finish his job. Two realtors cleaned up his mess. Are they lying too?
I had hourly kids hired from Craigslist and my son painting in the house, and they were not up to the task.
I hired Gener at an elevated price because he PROMISED if I, my 80-year old father -in-law and his senior rescue dog left the house for 5 days and 4 nights, the house would be done entirely. Gener remover 1/2 of a popcorn ceiling in a 4 bedroom house in one day. He then took 3 more days to mud, texture, and paint that section of ceiling. He also painted the hallway and the living room. THAT IS ALL THE WORK HE DID. He didn't prep anything. He left a mess like a construction zone that was cleaned up by my realtor, who he lied to on speaker phone , that included half cans of beverages spilled on the carpet and left, a paint machine with water and the nozzle in a bedroom, and 3 hazardous materials. He cleaned up NOTHING. Here is a photo of him using my antique furniture as a work bench after he said he would move it for me.
When we returned home we discovered the horror that was left and items were missing from the r home. Brass shelf mounts the Gener took off and placed on the bed as seen in the photo, and a laptop from under the same bed that is not pictured because I had it with me and brought it to the house while they were working. I slipped it under the plastic as confirmed by Gener. The problem was Gener was the only one in the house. The laptop is unique, it is a 17-in silver Hewlett-Packard 2023 with a 10 key.
I called the police and they took a report. I can now sue him in civil court.
We are more than happy to film a YT video to prove our account with witnesses, photos, and police reports after our case closes. Would you let him back in your house?
The police said to fire him and sue him.
I gave him 3000$ deposit. He was padding the job for materials as he left a FULL 5 -gallon white flat paint tub here -- a common material for ceilings when I still had half a 5 - gallon and he billed me for two.
He sat outside the house DEMANDING payment after I told him I was suing him for theft of the brass shelf braces that were antique, the laptop, and unfinished work..
He came to get his paint gun and bullied my realtor and REFUSED to leave without an ADDITIONAL 2,200$! The 80 year old wrote him a check out of fear, but was forced to close his account because my laptop had been stolen and the banking information was on it. He was also approaching another contractor and lurking near the garage where someone had placed a pair of Men's designer sunglasses with the receipt of 400$ that were in a box on paint cans near "his" paint whole he was DEMANDING more money. This would bring his total to 5200 for what was about 2 days of work. Incidentally, he initially claimed to the real estate agent that he only worked two days, but then when he started demanding additional funds he suddenly remembered that he had worked 4 days?
He made up lies about people driving by so that he could create an atmosphere of suspicion. I never found anybody lurking around any of his comings or goings. However, I was told by another contractor that somebody came by to drop off materials, and I was able to locate that individual immediately on the cameras.
This was NOT ANYTHING LIKE WHAT GENER SAYS, and we welcome Yelpers to investigate what our claims are.
The hotel cost us $1,000 and he stalled the sale of our house. We were completely at his mercy to get our house on the market in the time in which we had allotted. It is because of this man that are home was not completed and did not go to market.
He now wants to say that he will move on? No, he wants you to believe that he is the victim, but what he is really telling me is he's not going to try to sue me for the check he believes that he should have payment on. At one moment, he told me the reason that I get ripped off is because I don't have a man.
The check was written under distress by an 80-year-old man who was being bullied by a thief and a liar.
We look forward to seeing you in court, Gener. If you would like these reviews to be taken down you can simply return the 80-year-old's brass antique shelves that you stoled and the laptop computer. We also hope that you enjoy the fan, chairs, and bistro table. Remember neighbors have cameras.
See you soon! read more
