And after going through the misfortune of unemployment and making the difficult decision to sell our house to move to a state with more jobs, we asked Kurt to replace a bathroom window for us so we could get the home up to code. He quoted us and said he'd get it taken care of right away, and we called back to pay him and set up an installation date only to be ghosted. He completely ignored us after saying he'd take care of the window and providing a quote. We didn't have any issues with him and everything seemed to be going fine, so we were surprised and disappointed. This seems to be a pattern with him as others have stated here and on his Google reviews. If it wasn't for our amazing real estate agent finding a company for us to work on the window after we had already moved, we would have had issues getting our new buyer approved for the sale. We were happy with the work we did have done on our home however, I can't recommend Kurt or his company as he's inconsistent, dishonest and unresponsive.

They insulated the walls with foam on our brick house, They added new soffit vents around the house and added 20 inches of blown insulation in the attic. Five stars

This company is extremely unprofessional. I contacted them about a repair and they were…read moreinterested. We had an agreed upon time (which I took time off work) and four minutes before they were suppose to arrive, I received a text message they would be two hours late. After waiting two and a half hours, I contacted them and was told an emergency job popped up. We agreed to reschedule. They didn't arrive for the second agreed upon time and after waiting fifteen minutes I contacted them and was told there were two jobs ahead of me and they would let me know the ETA. I never heard back from them. This company is not serious about their commitments. I am very disappointed I allowed myself to be taken advantage of more than once.

Nice guy, really enjoyed talking with him while he worked and he was very fair with the price. These folks are the Mom & Pop variety shop and have the ability to do the job I needed him for. I would recommend clear and concise discussions about what you need done and writing it down. Dave and his wife are trying real hard to bring good service at a reasonable fee. This group get's a 4 and I'll tell you, as I work with him more, his rating will reflect his service capabilities. BE SPECIFIC when quoting jobs with Dave and take good notes.

As a consumer who has used many contractors, this company leaves much to be desired. Furthermore, I requested their insurance three times and was told they have it but it was never provided.

Expectations Exceeded!…read more Working with Brian Downs of Downs Construction has been an exceptional experience from start to finish. We first reached out to Brian in November for a major addition to our home--a new bedroom, walk-in closet, expanded entryway, and a covered porch. From the initial planning stages through groundbreaking in March, the unexpected tornado in May, and project completion in June, Brian delivered on every promise he made. In today's world, that kind of reliability is rare. Even when issues arose--as they inevitably do with any major construction--Brian was the first to raise them, often before we even noticed. Every challenge was met with a solution, and every step was handled with transparency, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to quality. We're absolutely thrilled with the final result and already looking forward to working with him again on future projects. It's clear Brian takes pride in his work, and it shows in every detail. We recommend Downs Construction without hesitation. If you want a contractor who communicates, cares, and delivers--Brian is the one to call.
