This is a Bronx neighborhood staple. You can never go wrong with Giovanni's Pizza. The pizza is delicious- crunchy crust, great marinera sauce and the perfect amount of cheese. One of my favorite pizza spots in the Bronx. The restaurant also delivers consistent Italian dishes. I love their chicken marsala and penne alla vodka with shrimp. If you're ever in the area and want to grab a drink, Giovanni's bar has a nice dim litt, jazz club music vibe to it and the customer service is always great.

Chicken roll from hell. Takes effort to make it this bad. Overpriced as well. .............................

Chicken Parmigiana and salad

We came here to grab a quick bite. I ordered the chicken parmigiana, the flavor of the sauce was good. I've had better. The ambiance and aesthetics at the bar was beautiful. Once you go into the dinning area, the aesthetic looked like a fast food restaurant or a chain restaurant. The service was fast which I really enjoyed.

Gluten-free Baked Ziti

I must say I was surprised by the low ratings. This was a pleasant surprise as our first choice nearby was not yet open. Alexandra was fantastic! One of our guests wasn't familiar with fettuccine, Alexandra went to the kitchen to bring out a cooked noodle. Gave us plenty of time to peruse the menu. Although not a native Spanish speaker, she spoke in Spanish to the same guest. Someone else ordered a cocktail she wasn't familiar with, she took her own spin and made a delicious concoction. The food was extremely well done, everyone in our group of five diners enjoyed their meals. We all shared as the portions were huge. Several took home leftovers, which by the way, Alexandra packed for each person. We had a great celebration, it wasn't loud and we basically had the dining room to ourselves. Late 3 pm lunch on a Monday. We weren't rushed and enjoyed a leisurely meal partaking of each other's company as cozy as if we were in one of our own homes. I hope other diners aren't put off by some of low ratings because our experience was excellent. If ever I'm in the area again, I'll definitely return. I also found their prices reasonable for the quality and portion size. At the end of the meal we realized we didn't photograph our dishes. Photos are of some of our leftovers, Risotto Samira and gluten-free Baked Ziti.

Chicken Francese

First time ordering from this restaurant and I enjoyed it! My boyfriend who has ate from this restaurant raves about their food. Very rare to find good pizza in the Bronx. We decided to go with pasta and chicken for our delivery. I ordered a dish I never had tried the Chicken Francese...it was delicious! The pasta was cooked and seasoned so well and the chicken was fluffy and very juicy! My boyfriend chose to get chicken parmesan and asked to get penne pasta and instead got spaghetti. Unfortunately he didn't like the pasta and only ate the chicken :/ also I love when Italian bread is given but sadly ours was partially drenched in oil and wasn't edible anymore. I would still like to order pizza from here one day though.

Nice atmosphere to relax and chat with friends

This was basically the only thing in this neighborhood where you can sit comfortably and socialize with a friend. The food is okay. My friend and I ordered chicken pesto farfalle some broccoli rabe. They had a full bar so I ordered a Riesling and it was pretty good! The service was decent and laid back.

Cannot take a photo I ate both from so quick

This is the best pizza in the Bronx. Excellent quality I always buy two they are the best.

I have been to Giovanni's for many years and the food always tastes wonderful. The Veal & The Pizza is mouth-watering. My late brother used to get the meatballs delivered all the time which is a testament to how good the food is. With my family at Giovanni's wonderfully tasty Italian food around the block, they have a bar with great Latin Jazz Bands. My late friend Steve Pouchie used to jam there. One of Sister Cookie's little girls wants to be a caterer and the other one wants to go into the restaurant business.

We chose this spot for a family reunion, and they made us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we walked in. The food was incredible. I had the Pork Chop Scarparo--perfectly cooked and full of amazing flavor. The pasta was spot‑on too and cooked just right. I had the garlic and oil side dish which was simple but delicious. There are plenty of great places in the area, but Antonios definitely deserves a spot on your list. It made our family gathering feel special, and the meal was unforgettable.

THE FOOD ----------------…read more+ Fried Calamari - Very crispy and as you would expect of any good fried calamari appetizer. Came with a small bowl of marinara. + Baked Clams Oreganata - LOTS of flavor. It was savory with the herb- and garlic-infused breadcrumb mixture and baked perfectly. + Chicken Marsala - 2 pieces of flattened and tender sauteed chicken breast with sliced mushrooms all around. Chicken was drowning in a suppppper delicious marsala wine sauce. Unfortunately, it was not served with any pasta to soak up the sauce. + Fruitti Di Mare - LOTS of delicious seafood - clams, mussels, calamari, shrimp - in marinara sauce. All of the seafood sat on a bed of spaghetti. + Kids' Spaghetti and Meatball - Solid spaghetti and meatball and what you would expect for a kid portion. + Kids' Chicken Parm with Ziti - DELICIOUS parm and sauce. One can argue that this was actually enough of a portion for an adult! + Nutella Pizza - Soooooo gooood. Super warm, thin, savory, a little sweet. Honestly, the best part of our meal. + Menu was traditional Italian and had a lotttttt of delicious foods that we wanted to try, but we only had so much space. THE SERVICE ------------------- + Food came out pretty quickly. - Waiters didn't give us much attention and when we were handed the bill, the waiter just kind of dropped it on the table and walked on, which was strange. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- + 2 adjacent dining rooms. Main dining room includes a bar and TVs, while the 2nd dining room is more spacious. = Entire bar area was filled with diners and folks watching college football. - Street parking only and can be challenging to find a good spot during weekend dinner hours. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Walked in with a party of 8 at 5:30 PM on an Autumn Saturday evening and were accommodated with a table immediately. = Was pretty crowded on a Saturday evening and there was a wait for some folks who arrived around 6-7 PM, but no wait before 6 PM.

An authentic Italian gem on Arthur Avenue…read more Zero Otto Nove was recommended to us by the owner of Titles Brothers, where I regularly go to buy Italian cold cuts and cheeses. It turned out to be one of the best recommendations we've received. My mom, my daughter, and I absolutely loved our experience. The food was outstanding, the wine was excellent, and every dish was full of authentic Italian flavor. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing, but the staff welcomed us with a smile and never made us feel rushed. Instead, they took the time to recommend some of their favorite dishes, and every suggestion was delicious. What made the evening even more special was how kind and attentive they were to my daughter. Their hospitality was exceptional and made us feel truly welcome. If you're visiting Arthur Avenue and looking for authentic Italian cuisine with outstanding service, Zero Otto Nove is a restaurant I highly recommend. Great food, excellent wine, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. We'll definitely be coming back!

Perfect for a date night or romantic dinner. We were a group of 12 celebrating a birthday. All of our various selections came out almost simultaneously. Everything tasted fresh and well made. The warm bread was soft, fresh, and nicely herby with what tasted like oregano sprinkled on top. Portions were satisfying, flavors were rich without feeling too heavy, and the quality really stood out. We ordered sparkling water and a couple of cocktails. For appetizers we had the Polpettine Di Casa (homemade beef meatballs in pomodoro sauce) and the Portuguese octopus with fava beans, cannellini beans, onions, and apple vinegar dressing. Both were flavorful and well prepared. For entrées we ordered the Pappardelle alla Bolognese with homemade pasta and meat sauce, along with the New Zealand lamb chops over broccoli rabe and mashed potatoes. The pasta tasted fresh and authentic, and the lamb was tender and cooked as requested. Unfortunately, the night ended on a disappointing note because of the service. Mario was pleasant, but another server, I believe named Alex, overheard a conversation and became argumentative and sarcastic toward the birthday woman's son. It felt very unprofessional for the setting and completely changed the mood of the dinner, causing everyone to leave earlier than planned. The 93yr old woman was shaking. People should stay in their lane. Sadly, because of that interaction, I wouldn't return.
