Bread I paid for!! SMH
Maria R.

I absolutely love their pizza. I don't have a problem with their deep dish spinach however I ordered their chicken Parmesan spaghetti. When I asked for bread to go with it. Apparently I have to pay for bread like are we kidding? Are you not a pizza place. Whatever happens to restaurants bringing you bread and butter. This is gotta be the only place that doesn't do it. So like I said, the food was good not gonna complain however I don't think I should have to pay for a piece of bread like that's crazy. The waitress seemed a little lost not sure why. Had to repeat our order several times, but that's OK not gonna complain about that. Just be patient. You never know.

Calamari

The meal was fabulous! I ordered a deep dish with ground beef, chicken sausage and spinach. The children ordered calamari and a pepperoni pizza. No complaints! Our waitress was very attentive and friendly.

Slice of super veggie.
Gus S.

This is not good deep dish pizza. I tried a slice of the super veggie pie. The crust was not very crispy and lacked flavor. The sauce and toppings needed salt. It was a real waste of calories and a disappointment. I tried Lou Malnati's a few years ago and found it to be way better. I have no idea why people rave about the pizza here. It was a poor showing for the deep dish. However, the minestrone soup and mozzarella triangles were actually really good. Also, the place is nice, spacious and cozy. The server could not have been more attentive. She told us the pizza would take 45 minutes and suggested an appetizer, which prompted us to order some. I would come back, but not for the deep dish.

Blackberry Market - Vegetarian breakfast sandwich

Blackberry Market is one of my favorite lunch spots. It's also a great place to grab a coffee and…read moredo some work. They have a decently sized seating area, and in the warmer months, there's a patio to sit outside. It can get a bit loud inside during the weekends and peak hours, so not ideal if you prefer quieter environments to do work. I absolutely love their brownies, especially their blackberry brownie, but they were out the day I went so I got the red velvet cupcake instead and it was perfectly moist and soft. You truly can't go wrong with any of their bakery items. I also got the pesto pasta salad, which I highly recommend.

My sister suggested Blackberry Market in Glen Ellyn for lunch. They have a great selection on their…read moremenu for both breakfast and lunch, and they also have ready-to-go items in a refrigerated case. I had the pick two, which was a half a sandwich (grilled cheese) with a half salad (kale Caesar). The salad was so good! Fresh, crisp and lightly dressed. However, the grilled cheese was pretty sad. I opened it up and there was hardly any cheese. It was just like eating two pieces of grilled bread. They need to improve on that for sure. I also had their 12oz wildflower latte which was very tasty, but served lukewarm and not hot. If the milk is not steamed, it will bring down the temperature of the coffee. I like my specialty coffees served hot. I do have to say every staff member we came in contact with was friendly. They seemed happy and were there to help and answer questions. You place your order at the counter, and you receive a number which you display at your table. There are two dining areas with tables and a few booths to dine at next to where you place your order. Members of the staff bring your order to the table. We didn't have to wait long for our drinks and food. Even with the sad grilled cheese sandwich which was disappointing and the lukewarm latte, I would definitely go back to Blackberry Market again to try other items on their menu. I'll pass on the grilled cheese, though.

It's also always clean when I come & the staff is super friendly. I wish I would have gotten the young lady's name who made my bowls today because she was amazing. I'm a creature of habit and the Harvest Bowl is what I'm getting 90% of the time. Today's bowl was super fresh (as always) and very tasty! I like to swap out the roasted chicken for the blackened chicken. That's another thing I love about SweetGreen is how seamless it is to customize your meal! The ONLY reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because ya girl HATES an onion. And my sweet potatoes today are giving a pinch of onion flavor. I'm assuming someone prepped the onion then prepped the sweet potatoes. Nevertheless, the bowl is still great and I'll def be back.

I got the steak mezze, and the flavoring was good, but i think the steak was old? I did order an hour after opening ors o, but the steak was a bit tough and chewy, just seemed old. Otherwise, I thought the flavors were quite good. the rosemary foccacia was delicious, and i recommend getting that with your meal. The price is a little higher than I'd like, but at the same time, they do seem to have better quality ingredients and also make everything they provide compostable, which I'm sure has some added cost as well, so that may justify the slightly elevated price. In terms of service, they should clean the tables more often throughout the day to keep the area inviting.

TL,DR * slow service…read more* overpriced * one worker was running the place by themselves * good taste at least Long version: I went into this place with high hopes based on their reviews. My food took over 30 minutes to be made. The food was good but it was $12 for a tiny bowl that fell apart when I opened it, way over priced for the amount received. I had to use the lid as a second bowl. Management should just order larger bowls. $1 upcharge for substitution of almonds instead of coconut. The poor worker was there all by herself with a line to the door. If they're understaffed the manager/owner should be helping but there was no manager on duty, which is why I'm writing this. They know they are understaffed. It's not fair to the worker to deal with poor management.

When we first started coming here, the base was blended so smooth, the granola was always fresh and tasty, and the ratio to acai blend vs toppings was great! My husband and I grabbed 2 bowls last night and these 2 were the worst ones we've had. I probably won't be back for a while. The consistency of the açaí bowl wasn't smooth. A little grainy and potentially too much ice mixed it. It barely had flavor. The granola was almost stale. It tasted like it was sitting out for a very long time uncovered. The ratio of smoothie to topping ratio was also terrible. It was like they filled the sides with acai mix, filled the center up with granola, it was very unpleasant. This was the first time my husband and I actually threw our bowls out, it was that bad. I do hope they get to how they used to. With the increased prices, they need to maintain quality, and quality has been severely lacking. I try to support my local businesses because I know it's not easy being forced to raise prices given this economy, but if you cut on quality you won't retain my business. Truly hoping this place changes!

They have a small private parking lot but there is also plenty of easy street parking out front.   The big place wasn't particularly busy until close to 7pm trivial game time.  Overall, I'll go with 4.50 rounded up to 5 stars particularly for their nice $5 per pint Thursday promo.
