Guy swapped a motor in my car pretty quick and got it back to me. He put a rebuilt motor in.

For almost a decade, our family have trusted our vehicles to Guy. Dependable, reliable, affordable and trustworthy. A gem in our area.

This place had just recently come to Shirley and they have another shop in Fitchburg. I decided to stop in and ask if they could do a few things on my motorhome, I know there bays are not large enough but it was summer and nice out. The next day Keith called and said he talked to the owner and they would be glad to take care of a few things for me as long as the weather stayed nice. After my first visit with my motorhome they seemed to be honest about time, price and what work i needed. I explained that last year we worked the brakes real good on a month long road trip and they needed to probably be changed as well as some other things. They called and said the brakes looked great and just need to get cleaned up and the rust off of them. The were also more than happy to install the new valve extenders I bough since they were taking the tires off anyway. This was early 2015 and since they were honest and did such a great job on all my little motorhome needs I decided to take my truck and my girlfriend's two cars to them for service. So far they have had our motorhome and three vehicles and done outstanding work. Always available to answer your questions or just shoot the bull for a bit. All the guys are great, but Keith has been the one doing the work on our vehicles and has been awesome! I will continue to bring them my vehicles and suggest them to others!

I had many many BEST experiences with Donald Partridge, who is the owner of this car mechanic shop…read more He is very very very very honest. He never up sells. I had my car leaking oil from bottom, with red check engine light, I went to another mechanic out side, when I observed this problem (I was outside the city at that time). That guy told me it would take $500 to fix it & get the check engine off. Donny fixed it & charged me $50 bucks. Many times, when I feel 'this repair probably would cost a big money', Donny fixes quick & doesn't even charge any money (if they are quick fixes of 5-10 minutes) or charges way lesser than what my expectation is (as said, he is very honest). He is very knowledgeable in his field (worked as service manager for a dealership for 10+ years). He identifies the problem way quicker than anyone else I saw so far & charges only for his lesser time, so his cost is cheaper than others. Also he doesn't upsell & does exactly what's needed for the problem to be solved. I will give 10 stars out of 5 to Donny. He's an example of how one should do business honestly. Never found a mechanic like this in 10 years of my US stay. Another plus here is the full service gas station, which is priced on par with other local gas stations (which are self service though). I always get my gas filled here (with the luxury of without getting down in the cold weather).

Anyone in the Ayer area with a car in need of repair should go see Mike at My Mechanic. I don't…read morehappen to live in Ayer, nor do I own a car, but I still know that Mike at My Mechanic is the guy to see, especially if you have a flat tire. Here's how I know: Last Saturday, two friends and I went hiking in the White Mountains. When we got back to our cars, one of us discovered that she had a flat. As we commenced to change the flat, we found that the rust on the cage enclosing the spare under the car made it impossible for us to get it down, plus the lug nuts on the flat tire were so stuck we couldn't make them budge. Yikes! Now what?! Luckily for us, a friendly fellow hiker saw us struggling and offered to help us out. Our Good Samaritan was Mike from My Mechanic! Mike not only got the spare down, and wrested the lug nuts free (with the help of a big, strong friend of his), but--when he discovered that the pressure in the spare was too low to be safe for my friend to drive on--he threw the spare in the back of his pick-up, drove to the nearest gas station (which wasn't nearby at all!), filled it with air, came back, and finished changing the flat! Amazing!! We might have waited hours for a tow truck, or who knows how else the day would have ended? But thanks to Mike, my friend got home safely and our beautiful September day of hiking in the mountains had a happy ending. THANK YOU, MIKE! And thanks to your family, too, for keeping us company while you saved the day. So, Ayer area automobile owners, please reward Mike for being such a great guy and skilled mechanic and take your car to My Mechanic when it needs repairs!! Sincerely, Christine James Boston, MA
