Still going with 4 stars. Service has improved since they opened, but they've cheapened other aspects of the food. No longer serving olive oil with the bread, just cold bland butter. Had a cup of the clam chowder. It was thin, lacked a lot of clams, but very hot (nice). Daughter had the fettuccini Alfredo. It was not cheesy at all and had little taste. Got a cheese pizza for her daughter that was better than her dinner. We also had the pepperoni bread which was good but the highlight of the evening was the chicken Parmesan- not because it was super tasty, just super HUGE. This damn thing must have weighed in at over a pound and a half! I ate about 1/3 of it and still had over a pound left to take home. Never seen such a huge piece of chicken. It was reasonably well prepared, had plenty of marinara sauce and the cheese was delicious. The red sauce is good, just not great. A bit bland, but not watery at all. Our server was fast and friendly. Apparently silverware is an option, and the guy at the door seating people was more interested in his phone than he was in anything else. read more

Fantastic food and service. The best compliment I can give is that Gino's food is right up there with the meal I had at Bamonte's in Brooklyn, NY, which has been in business since 1900 and is the quintessential old-school Italian restaurant. People, please, dine at Gino's, you will not be disappointed and will support a located owned and operated restaurant. I had linguini with garlic and olive oil and it was superb. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the side salad with Italian dressing was fresh, simple but excellent. Five stars all around. Dora was my server and she was superb!! read more

At first the service was good but it took 45 min for our food. We think the waitress may have forgot to put our order in. I wished the eggplant wasn't stacked as it was extremely hot. The sandwich wasn't the greatest either. You typically don't put lettuce in the oven for a baked sandwich. Something to think about. We took a few bites and bagged it up and threw it out later. The place is fine enough, but please stay away if you want to watch anything on tv. Every time I've been here there have been issues with the TV's. They are never synced to the sound or one another, meaning some TV's are ahead, others are behind. Also, half the time they literally have nothing on tv, just the Roku TV home screen. Sitting here, 7:30pm on a Thursday watching two Roku TV screens, one tv with a looping Gino's ad, and a talk show. read more

What a delight to the chain restaurant heavy Strongsville! We went on a Wednesday at 5 and got in right away, by 6:30 almost every table was taken. They had an expansive menu with something for everyone, and prices that were extremely reasonable for the times and quality! The bread was soft & I could taste the herbs on it. A nice sized salad came with an Entree. I ordered Pasta Angelica that had a creamy mushroom & onion blush sauce. Went for a friends birthday party. Hadn't been here since it was a Panini's many years ago. Service was good, but they were short staffed which caused the food to be slow getting to our tables. Once it did, it was worth the wait. I had the Cavatelli and meatballs which were fantastic. This used to be a paninis so the vibe was fun. Big patio and big dining room. You walk down into the main seating areas and it's giving old New York Italian eatery vibes. There are tvs at every booth which could be good for children. The menu is pretty basic. They have a salad, some sandwiches and a lot of pasta and pizza. I ordered the chicken Marsala. You get a HUGE piece of chicken, which was breaded... didn't think it was going to be. You also get a lot of mushroom and onions. The sauce was pretty thin so didn't stick to the undercooked noodles. The complimentary bread and salad, although pretty basic and standard, were good. I think this place would be fun for a glass of wine with the girls on a summer night on the patio. Been going here since it opened, great veal , portion size always big. The house salad is a must, really great place to take groups. Party room in the back great for small parties of 10-25 people. Huge beer selection and great entertainment with large TVs. I never pay attention to bad reviews. Most people taking the time to write a bad review have never gone into the food business. I've picked up meals to go from Gino's a few times now, and have been very pleased. Thumbs up on the chicken piccata and pasta luigi, but i want to go on about their pizza. Its very good. The dough was clearly house made w excellent sauce and cheese. They only sell 12" and at first $14 seems steep. (So many pizza places under price their pizza then OVER price their toppings. 3-4 of your favorite toppings can add $8-12 to the cost!) At Gino's toppings are a buck! 3-4 toppings for 3-4 bucks? Poorly trained employees I walkes in before 5 o clock as one person. Was told by someone at the host stand they will clean off a table and seat me when its cleaned. Great.. 3 minutes later a different teen at the host stand said it will be 25 to 30 mins. You just told me i would be seated immediately. If you are going to lie i will not be returning and i will make sure everyone knows that ur hosts lie to your patrons. I tried you once before and was pleased. This is all it took to sour me. If the "owner" wants to reply trying to fix this.. Thats going to take a lot. I was made to feel bad for not wanting to sit at the bar as one person. If you tell someone youll seat them immediately through... Dont get me started on fedoras in the kitchen that is not approved headwear for a kitchen. Service was so slow and messed up. The waitress was new and on her 2nd day. They Didn't bring one of our guest their dinner. Had to go to the bar for the first drink since it wasn't come out. No bud light or Budweiser available. They did have a sign saying they didn't have enough servers. If that's the case don't fill the place up and piss people off. We could have went somewhere else. We just had a very pleasant surprise. As first timers, we stopped at Gino's. Dora our waitress was very engaging and informative. I have a food allergy and she went so far as to call Gino at home to confirm that the BBQ sauce was safe for me to eat. Now that's service! I am so glad as it is delicious as were the ribs on which it was served. I wholehearted recommend the ribs. I really can't comment on the ambiance as I was seated in a booth with my back to the restaurant, and did not look around, as my beautiful wife, seated across from me, held my gaze. Salads were okay-house Vidalia was really sweet would have been better off with balsamic. Our dinners came-the meatball sub was good-meatballs were spot on. Chicken piccata sauce was good but the noodles were all cut so you couldn't twirl and the chicken was dry. I ordered GF spicy shrimp pasta and it was awful. I didn't eat it. It tasted like someone dumped the entire bottle of cayenne pepper in it and it was clumpy not creamy. Our server didn't check on us until the end so I didn't send it back because what's the point -I asked for a box. I took it home rinsed it and made my own sauce. Felt like we wasted over $100 on a very mediocre meal. Much better Italian food in the area. read more

Positives were the mozzarella wedges were good,the salad not fancy but good.I had the spaghetti and meatballs.Absolute worst meatballs I ever had.The texture was gummy seems like way to much bread crumbs to meat ratio .There was no seasoning or cheese except for a very not good strange taste.The spaghetti sauce was bland it had no garlic ,basil or oregano.NO taste except tomato.I didn't eat the meal and told the waitress I didn't want a box.She took the plate and never asked me if something was wrong with it.My wife had fettuccine. This was our first visit & upon entering, we thought the Italian decor was great. However, the music on the patio was way too loud. Our group was screaming at each other & still couldn't hear. My food was terrible. The pappardelle was cold, hard in some places & had no flavor at all. The sauce was mostly oil & had no flavor. The rectangular plate was too narrow to eat this pasta dish. The service was poor, although we didn't see too many servers around. Overall a big disappointment. read more

Menu is quite a mix of things - burgers, subs, ribs, corned beef, gyros, pizza, wings. I had shrimp scampi florentine which I would not get again. Its four over cooked shrimp, spinach, and grape tomatoes with a white wine and lemon butter sauce but its not sauce - its just kind of a broth on the bottom. The Family Stacker Smash burger was good as was the bread that came out with the side salad. Drinks are overpriced - red sangria was $13 during happy hour. read more
