Been ordering delivery, once every 3 weeks or so for Nearly 8 years. They have the best grandma pie in Nassau/queens. They also, have among the most arrogant, pompous staff in the pizza parlor side. I stopped in to pick up an order I called in 20 minutes prior. Upon arriving, I asked if the pizza was ready and the man (Steve buschemi look alike) behind the counter looked at the young kid next to him, said something to him in Italian and they both walked away. Buschemi comes back a minute or so later and proceeds to continue making the pizza without responding to me. I asked again if the order was close to ready and he said that guy, I'm assuming the young kid, never put your order in but that the order will be ready in 10 minutes. The only reason why I didn't leave is bc my pregnant wife was hungry and it was late. I'd rather drive back to queens or try one of the other pizzerias along Jericho than deal with the d1cks in that pizzeria. read more

This is a staple in the community and they make one of the best Sicilian pies in the area. It is Brooklyn style and it is fantastic. What I love about Ginos, aside from it being within delivery distance, is that they have good pizza in addition to the Sicilian. I have been eating here for years. I live 22 miles away but make the trip at least three or four times a month. They make, without a doubt, the best Sicilian pizza I have ever eaten. Absolutely disgusted at the treatment my boyfriend and I received tonight. We called in our order at 6:15pm for two pasta entrees, mozzarella sticks and garlic knots. We're told that there were only 5 knots left - no worries it's just us that'll do just fine. When we called back 15 mins later to pay with our card over the phone, we were told that they didn't have any more garlic knots - no biggie although when were you going to tell us this? - ordered cheesy garlic bread instead and was told it would be a few more minutes before we get the order. Cool. Fast forward to 7:40pm (1.5 hours after we ordered), the food finally arrives and it's ice cold. The mozzarella sticks don't have any cheese in the middle and tasted like they were frozen. The rigatoni alla vodka had no vodka sauce and the garlic bread was missing. Called back at 7:45pm and asked for them to send us the bread and vodka sauce. Finally received it at 8:10pm and the garlic bread has paper completely melted on top of it - couldn't even pull it apart. We decide to pay a visit since Gino's is not even 0.1 miles down the road. Brought the garlic bread with us and told them what happened and that we were very upset. The older gentleman decided to berate us and ask why were saying our food was cold if the garlic bread was hot. Explained to him that the garlic bread was JUST delivered after it was forgotten and that we are completely unhappy that it's now two hours after we ordered and it's still not correct. He asks where the rest of the food was and why we didn't bring it back all while LAUGHING in our faces. I will never be back. This was completely unacceptable. It's a Sunday, we know places are busy but the reaction wasn't even apologetic. "What do you want me to do, say sorry because we were busy?" No sir. Just be sorry that you have customers that are upset and try and be sympathetic to them. I would think twice before dining here. There are plenty of other pizza places in Williston Park. read more

This is my 3rd time ordering from this place, and I don't order from here very often as there are other pizzerias around my location. I usually order from other pizzerias but I like to change it up time to time, but never again will I be ordering from here again. Each time it just gets worse. First time I came here, the food was alright, and the 2nd time the pizza was rather burnt and not to our liking. However I still decided to give them the benefit of doubt but the 3rd time was a mistake, and the final nail to the coffin. I ordered a sicilian pie, and the order process was prompt as well as the delivery. No problems there. Upon receiving the food, my siblings and I immediately realized something wrong. The pizza was burnt and did not look like any sicilian pizza we had before from other places. We figured eh, whatever we'll just eat the pizza, not ever pizzeria is the same, so maybe they just made theirs differently. Nope and Nope. Pizza was burnt to a crisp and seemed like the pizza was rather old and just reheated. So I immediately called them back and asked for a refund. Although I was a bit annoyed, I didn't let it get to me, and just wanted a refund and be on my way. I had asked them to ask their driver to take the pizza back and requested for a full refund. The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because they did try to remedy the situation by offering another pie. However I did not feel comfortable of ordering another pizza, and also because I was afraid since we just complained about their food, they might spit on our new pizza. Not saying they would but I don't want to take the risk. The driver came back and told us the pizza had to been full and not touched in order for us to receive our full refund, but they never said that over the phone. So I explained to the driver that we already spoke with them over the phone and would be receiving a full refund. So to double check, my sister called the pizzeria again and explained to them what the driver just said. She asked if there would be any problem since the 3 of us took a couple of bites off the pizza, and from that point the person on the phone decided to be nasty and rude, and told her never to order from them again. This greatly upset me because we should be the one that should be angry not the other way around. Not once did I raise my voice, or even give these guys any attitude yet they found it okay to be rude to us. I just wanted my money and be on my way. But don't worry folks@Ginos, I will never ever step foot into your pizzeria again. I will also be checking my account time to time to make sure you guys give us our refund read more

Oh yeah, this is perfect Long Island pizza. Tons of loaded slices, order one and you are good to go for the whole day (if you're older than 25). We are new to Long Island and was looking for a good pizza spot. Decided to check out Gino's based on the Yelp reviews and the menu they left in our mailbox. We went for the Gino's Special with 4 toppings. In my opinion, the pizza was just a-ok. Nothing extraordinary that would lead me to crave for it again in the future. When attempting to place the order, the employee kept us on hold for over 5 minutes and was actually surprised that we waited. They told us that it'll talk about 20-30 minutes before the pizza will be ready for pick-up, but when we showed up, it still wasn't ready. Business seemed ok when we picked up our order - but I probably won't be going back. For the price I paid ($24 w/ a coupon) - I honestly expected a better quality pizza. read more

I go here a lot with my friends. One time, I got an ice. They only had chocolate and lemon. That didn't annoy me. The guy had mumbled the flavors that they had so I asked him to say it again so I could hear. He then gave me attitude. I never had this problem with any of the other workers before. I think the other workers are super nice. I asked for lemon and he gave me chocolate instead. Don't get me wrong, the chocolate was good. But I wanted my lemon ice. I then went up and politely told the guy that I had asked for lemon. He then said "speak up next time then." And continued to give me attitude. I don't think I will be coming here often now. My fiance dropped by Frankie's last Friday at lunch time and it was closed, so I told him to just order pizza from another place. He picked Gino's and ordered 3 slices; a pepperoni, regular slice, and one that had broccoli and mushrooms. All of the slices were pretty good and crust was crispy. After seeing they won best pizza in LI for 3 years had to try it. Called on a weekday at 7 and said it would take 40 mins. Pizza arrived at 750 and with much anticipation was hoping wait was worth it. However I was very disappointed. First thing I noticed was that middle of pizza had a small sauce container where normally places have a pizza saver. Ok not sure why they don't spend for a pizza saver but that was just the start of a negative experience. After that I noticed that pizza was very greasy. Then after taking first bite the crust was on burnt side and sauce tasted average. In fact had dollar slices in Manhattan that were just as good if not better. Needless to say will not be getting pizza here anymore. read more

I have been coming to Gino's for years and have always loved the food. It is really great quality, tasty and reasonable priced. It is great because you can just stop by for slice or you can sit down with the family and have a proper family meal in the dining room. The people are so nice too, and I like that it is a family business which is always a good thing. I was prompted to write this review after having a party for 35 people at Gino's this weekend. There is a party room at the back which most people may not know. We had never booked it out before. We had a great time and the team was perfect. They took care of everything, made great menu recommendations for a party, had good help and did a great job of managing the big surprise when the main guests arrived. Friends of mine that live in the area have been telling me about the Sicilian pie at Gino's for awhile now. I finally made it in this weekend. The Sicilian was absolutely perfect. A great crust on the bottom. Not overly cheesy, just a perfect blend of sauce, seasoning and cheese. I wish I lived closer. Pizza...such a simple mix and cheese, sauce, and dough. Yet every place is unique in their every right. Gino's pizzas are the most well-rounded slices of cheesy goodness in the area. At any given time of the day you can find numerous kinds of pies freshly made. The crust is just crispy enough, the size of the slices are extremely generous and prices are cheap. The cheeses they use are unusually high quality for a local pizza joint. Their rolls are also superb, I would recommend them as well. It's tough to say if Gino's or Umberto's is "better", both are the best in town. Like I said, Gino's more "well-rounded" while Umberto's crust cannot be beat. Just eat at both! One funny thing though, I saw Gino (the owner) walk out Cafe Rossa, another local pizza joint. I have yet to try that place... but if Gino approves I guess I should. read more

My wife's filet of sole franchise had an off taste, I confirmed it, so she didn't finish her dish. My late father and I used to come here for a slice or two of Sicilian and a soda. So when we had his Mass of Christian Burial yesterday at St. Aidan's we had the reception on the restaurant side of the house. Giovanni Speciale guided me in creating a buffet menu and beverages. It's hard to know how many will come and how long you'll be at these receptions and he reassured me that "we won't kick you out" and "if you run out we can refill for you very quickly." The room was perfect for our needs. We had trays of tossed salad, Chicken Francese, the Gino pasta, eggplant parm, penne vodka and garlic sticks. Unlimited beer, wine, sodas, cappuccino, espresso. We brought in mini pastries from Polito's. Many people remarked about the delicious food. The rate was very affordable. A generous tip was well deserved. Too bad I now live so far away - but when I'm on the Island I will go out of my way for a corner Sicilian slice. You can't go wrong here. Heartfelt thanks to Giovanni and the entire team at Gino's.
