Very decent Chinese takeout, definitely some hit and miss items. The price is good though, one of the less expensive places to eat in the Yardley area, the mound of food seen in my photos was $25 out the door and they put in some hot n sour soup for free (thank you very much). Ginger Wok is our new go to for Chinese food ordering - we haven't had anything we didn't like yet over several months and they are friendly and often faster than we'd expect. We don't order from the Japanese style side of the menu except for steamed veggie dumplings which are also good. Grateful this little place survived the pandemic. read more

Sigh...not good. It pains me to write this and I almost skipped a review bc this seems to be a friendly, family run business with hard working salt of the earth people. Just the kind of business that I really want to support. However, my last review was 5 star and I cannot miss lead and leave that 5 star at this point. We ordered take out...generals chicken. Standard at every Chinese restaurant. It was a generous portion especially for the price. Unfortunately, it was pretty horrible. More breading than chicken. In fact...I am not even sure chicken was in some of the pieces. The breading was that thick. The ones that did have chicken were hard and un-chewable...like beef jerky. It was not white meat...dry dark meat actually. Sad to say it was the worst Generals chicken I have ever had. Hubby said his won ton soup was fair. I had hot and sour soup. I found it to be extremely salty. I get hot and sour soup every place and this too was a disappointment. I could not taste the spice of the soup bc the salt over powered it all. My family absolutely loves the food here; it's a great price even for a large family and we find everything here delicious. The people here are awesome and the restaurant is very pretty. Open until very late, and the food is out almost immediately- even if you have a huge order. It's very fitting for any event and it can be served on any holiday despite strict diets or picky eaters. The vegetarian options are just as great as everything else. The containers are very fancy and very easy to store. Even if we have disagreements on whether we want chicken or sushi, ginger wok has both. Super close to my neighborhood and it's a very easy drive. They give free white rice and fortune cookies with some of their orders, again, it's delicious. Would recommend! read more

We've regularly purchased pickup sushi from here since they opened. We increased frequency with them since COVID and they are in our regular takeout rotation. We usually get combos/platters. They serve both sushi style menu and chinese-american food, which is really convenient. They are similarly priced to other sushi joints in driving distance (total bill within couple bucks). The only reason we consider other sushi spots in Yardley/Morrisville area is because this is slightly out of the way from the way we usually drive... but more often then not we drive out of our way to get the better stuff... Only once have we had an order/bill messed up and fixing it was simple/polite. Very glad to have them in our town and I look forward to them opening up for dining again post covid. read more

This was my go to take out Chinese restaurant. The last few orders were just average and my last order was a disaster. The vegetable dumplings ended up as pork dumplings. The dipping sauce that was included was some type of extremely spicy oil. The scallion pancakes were served with this same extremely spicy dipping sauce and not the proper sauce. What happened? I loved the food at Ginger Wok. I will be looking for a new take out place. Very sad. read more

What a difference since my last visit. I walked in around 2:45, just in time to catch the final few minutes for their lunch specials. I was the only customer. With my first breath inside I thought that the fish had taken over. The atmosphere smelled of piscean excess, like the air filter hadn't been cleaned in forever. Yes. They were a sushi joint and had two large tanks on the premises, but this was ridiculous. Fresh air, please. I should have turned around and walked out, because it got worse from there. I sat down and ordered the sesame chicken, which came with fried rice and egg roll. Whereas, last time the food was better than average for a Chinese American house, this time it was far worse. The breading was thicker than the meat within. Primarily cheaper, dark meat chicken was used, and it all was overcooked in deep frying, so that much of the pieces were overly hard, like encased in plaster rather than flour. It stuck in my teeth and tasted of old oil. The fried rice was aging poorly and the eggroll was mostly cabbage and more stale oil. Really disappointing after a positive first impression several months ago. They must not being doing well, but without better effort and sense of smell, they won't have long to worry about it. read more

I have been eating Chinese food, especially Peking Duck for well over 30 years. Across the US and Canada.They told me that I could order half a duck. First time ever the order had no scallions and no wrappers. They said that only comes with a whole duck. The duck order had two legs and pieces I could not describe, except the anus. The rest of their food is at best fair. I will never come back. I will always wonder what am I being served. Try Purple Leaf and Chinatown Cafe. Honestly, the only reason I agreed to try Ginger Wok again was that my wife asked. I already had another new place to try per Yelp reviewers. But not to disappoint her, I did try to say no but gave in. So the one upside is that she know agrees. Hence, NEVER EVER AGAIN. While service was friendly, the servers are not able to interact and truthfully answer questions. They all say find, okay, and smile. Meanwhile what comes out of the kitchen is not for the discerning palate. Example the corn egg drop soup, aside from being luck warm at best, was so heavy on the yolk. The sesame white meat chicken is not lightly coated, and we asked. Its a rather thick coating. A light coating is a flour dusting. This was clearly not. The flavor was nice, again luck warm at best. Lastly, my wife asked about the tempura shrimp appetizer, asked again, thick or light coating. We understand what tempura is, but Kentucky Fried Chicken thick we were not expecting (sorry Cornel Sanders for the example). NEVER AGAIN will our feet cross this restaurant threshold. I really can't give 1 star because their food was somewhat fresh and nothing was really terrible. The flavors were completely off from Chinese takeout I usually get eat from other places. I got hunan shrimp extra spicy. A plus is that they actually made it spicy. Some places still will not make it spicy even if you ask for extra spicy. A con would be that the sauce was mainly oil and pepper flakes. I didn't taste much other than the pepper flakes and vegetable oil. It was so oily it left oil all around my mouth. I got a lunch portion and it only had 3 shrimp. It was filled mostly with green bell pepper which I don't really like. The shrimp had a weird starchy coating on them like maybe they threw corn starch on it before putting them in the wok? Super weird as I've never had that anywhere else. It made a gummy coating on the shrimp. The fried rice was really bad compared to other places. It has no flavor and tasted like vegetable oil as well. It needed some soy sauce and salt. Another thing that just bugs me is that some Chinese places don't give white people chop sticks in the bag they only give a fork and knife. That's part of what I like about Chinese food is using the chopsticks. The fried wonton chips were not fried at a high temperature because they were overly oily and kind of soft. I couldn't eat them and threw them out. It was like eating oily cardboard. A plus that they did add 1 fresh mushroom and 2 slivers of fresh zucchini to my stir fry. I would have liked more of that and less green bell pepper. They also added bamboo shoots which I love. Overall, not good and I will find another Chinese place for next time. read more

Since our usual Chinese take out place in the area closed, we had to find a new place to go to so we figured we would give this one a try. It was average Chinese. We had sweet and sour chicken, wonton soup, and some sushi. The sushi seemed fresh. The wontons were very light, but the broth looked like neon pee...it tasted okay though. My husband and kids liked the chicken, they said it was very crispy. They gave us a ton of fortune cookies and sauces to go with everything, more than we needed. I suppose we will return because unfortunately this part of Bucks County has no real great Chinese food establishments. I will keep looking for a better one, but for now this one just fits into the mix of half way decent. read more

The Chinese restaurant that was here before was dingy, old and did no business. Ginger Wok is bright, clean and busy. Problem is, the old place looked terrible but its food was miles better than Ginger Wok's. Yakatori and a beef with scallion appetizer tasted as if they had been boiled. Spare ribs were pallid and bland. Egg drop soup was OK, but we ordered it with corn, which it didn't contain. Edamame was unseasoned. It could be that the sushi and Japanese specialties that are on the menu are better, but we aren't going back. read more

We've always enjoyed this place as our new go to for Chinese food. They're taking COVID very seriously as evidenced by the measures taken in their establishment. Stay Away! Last night I ordered a Tuna Tartar appetizer for takeout. When I got home and opened the container, I was overwhelmed with the smell of glass cleaner. I immediately returned the item to the restaurant and explained what I had found. They did refund my money, however they didn't express any concern that they almost poisoned a customer. Once they refunded my money the owner just turned away from me and walked away without another word. I will be filing a formal complaint with the health department. This new place is off to a rough start. Shockingly unfriendly service detracts from food that is good but not great. The staff seem to like to haggle over everything and creating our takeout order, which was made in person, was a challenge. I love sushi and sashimi but am far too scared to try it here. For Chinese, you can get much better up the road in Floral Vale. For Japanese, make the drive to Oishi in Newtown. I wonder if this business will make it or just become another in a long line of mediocre restaurants in LMT. read more

It's hard to find a good Asian restaurant in the Bucks County area. Most seem stale. This place is the best in thr area. They produce hot, fresh food at reasonable prices. I ordered the Philly roll. It was exactly what a Philly roll should be. Creamy, yet full of avocado and salmon. We also ordered the sesame chicken. It was the best I'd ever had.
