Description was not detailed. no rice with Teriyaki platter. Don't like Sesame, luckily I'm not allergic. Price was too expensive for what I've gotten.. I should have gotten a better platter for $20. The barbecue spare rib platter was short on ribs however, it was a good tasting platter. The wanton soup was generously made maid but not that great in taste. My husband and I have gone here several times for our annual Chinese food on xmas tradition and are never disappointed. The decor is really cool and it always looks so crisp. We just stopped here for lunch on a very hot summer day. The decor is gorgeous, a blue nautical theme. The restaurant is very clean. We ate off the luncheon menu and the food was fresh and tasty. We had the Hunan beef with vegetables with brown rice and an egg roll for $6.95 which I considered quite a bargain. There was plenty of vegetables which I like and not overcooked. I've began to have doubts about my "usual" chinese takeout place, so I wanted to try a new place. I found Ginger Wok via Yelp. ordered Beef with Garlic Sauce and a house special lo mein. The beef with garlic sauce was not good.. not the worst I've had, but just not good. The sauce was SWEET. What the heck? Think sweet and sour sauce... minus the sour. It also has chunks of zucchini which I wasn't a fan of. For $12 the contain was smaller that your average takeout portion size. The sauce was missing acidity from rice vinegar, lacked depth, and wasn't spicy at all. The rice was tasty and cooked well, as well as the beef itself (without the sauce) Overall, the dish was bland and not my liking. I will not repurchase. 2/5 The house special lo mein has potential, but on this particular occasion mine was made with too much soy sauce and came very dark in the container. I couldn't take more than a few bites and threw it out. From what I could tell, the chicken pieces tasted awful and unseasoned. The pork and shrimp bits tasted okay. I am willing to try the shrimp or beef lo mein again and hope they don't use too much soy sauce next time. The lo mein comes in a larger container than the beef and garlic entree. 3/5 Overall, this place was very disappointing. I'm willing to give the beef entree another try in a different sauce. However, I don't see myself ordering from here again. read more

My goal is to try everything. This is a new restaurant and yes, they are having growing pains but look at social media sites. The food is delicious and far less than their competition. Every time i go it is crowded. That is a good thing. Try the restaurant, you will find it is great restaurant. The sad part is we really loved the Chinese that was here before this one! Really, we would drive from Newtown bc it was the best to the whole and extended family. We probably ordered at least twice a month. We gave the new place a try and not only was it more expensive, no one was happy with the food or the service that was given. This is my second time to be here. It's as excellent as my first time: beautiful display, great taste, and wonderful atmosphere. I especially loved Sushi Deluxe, Beer Kumin. My children loved the Sushi pizza-the real combination of Chinese and Western cuisine, a real new creation-never seen it at any other restaurant before. It truly exceeded our expectation. Any place in 2018 that has a minimum on a credit card machine is suspect. It seems that every order, every time has some sort of hair found in it. That is first hand experience. Second hand experience from creditable sources have found cooked maggots in their platter. The prices are too expensive for the portions, even if it is in Yardley. I think everyone is way too hard on this place. It's honestly pretty decent and priced fairly. I went there to pick up take out with a friend and she had the free general tso chicken coupon from the valpak. They would not honor the coupon because they said that she did not mention the coupon when she called and the free meal would be a different size. It does not say this on the coupon. They also were not too pleasant about the situation. The chicken teriyaki was so over cooked it was inedible. The chow fun noodles were good though. I'm at a loss to understand the negative reviews of Ginger Wok. Tonight was my third time getting take-out and as usual everything was super fresh and very tasty, despite coming in near closing on a night before an impending snow storm. I got a dragon roll, spicy tuna roll, California roll and the crunchy crabmeat salad (outstanding!). The staff is super nice and very friendly - they gave me a complementary egg drop soup because I came in on such a cold night. We will definitely go back. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious our dinner was last night. I placed an order online at 4:15 pm for chicken with vegetables, szechuan shrimp, and chow fun noodles with beef. I came in to pick it up at 5 pm and everything was ready and packed to go. My husband and I really enjoyed our meal, the chicken was delicious, the shrimp was fresh, but the best were the chow fun noodles which you wont regret getting! The decor of the restaurant seems pleasant,but we usually only do take-out for Chinese. Would give a Zero if possible on Yelp. A 15-minute order took over 1 hr - it wasn't an anomaly as the person next to me placed his online order a few minutes before us. It doesn't matter how lovely the food or ambience is - don't lie. Tell people the wait time and let them decide if it's acceptable or they need to make other plans for dinner, but if they lie people are not going to return. Very disappointed with the quality of the food we got for take out dinner. Seems to have gone way downhill. We ordered chicken lo mien and it was lo mien on the top of the container, but filled with a layer of rice on the bottom (have never seen this before) also wonton soup was absolutely tasteless; spicy chicken broccoli wasn't very spicy and chicken not so great. I've been here now on several occasions. From the moment I walk in the door and we are greeted by Karen and her friendly and welcoming manner and were treated to a great experience that satisfies the palate, it is a wonderful meal all the way around. My wife loves the sushi and I enjoy the Chinese menu. Tonight we had Sophia as our waitress and she was very nice I had the Shrimp and Lobster sauce and a great ginger salad. We've ordered out around fifteen times since Ginger Wok has opened, and have been very pleased overall. The restaurant is clean, which is of utmost importance to us. The food is tasty and attractively presented. When we order from this restaurant, our expectation is to have "suburban" Chinese food, as opposed to city (more authentic) Chinese food. We typically get homestyle beancurd, which is amazing, and Hunan chicken, which is also delicious (could be better with some black beans in sauce). We also enjoy the cold sesame noodles. We have lived in Yardley for decades and have tried MANY local Chinese over the years. Truthfully, we had given up and really only ate Chinese food when going into Philly of New York. With Ginger Wok, we're back to having Chinese food at least monthly, and are grateful that it came to our community. 5-6 x take out and never disappointed. Very good Hunan Chicken-tasty sauce that is not too heavy like many other Chinese restaurants. Fresh vegetables and plentiful chicken. General Tso Chicken also very good. Cold Noodles with Sesame not the best (I am VERy picky about this dish)-not bad, but lacking a bit on flavor. BEST SUSHI AROUND!!! I personally love their sashimi and sushi lunchbox specials where for less than $10 you get several pieces of sashimi and pieces of sushi, rice, salad, and soup. I once paid literally 3 times that at a fancy restaurant in the city to get way less sashimi than what I get at Ginger Wok and really...nothing else. And the sashimi at the other place was somehow not as good. The sushi and sashimi at Ginger Wok is fresh, generously portioned, and delicious. If you're looking for a good local sushi place, you have found even more than that at Ginger Wok. Not only is it a good local sushi place, but they also have awesome Chinese and other Japanese food too. When I go there with my family, there is something for everyone! Hands down my favorite place to eat. Really beautiful and clean on the inside too with gorgeous koi in huge tanks on one side of the restaurant. If you have a kiddo with you, they might like to sit at a table right next to the tanks. Give them a try and you won't want to go anywhere else for your sushi/sashimi and Chinese food! :) read more
