Every blonde hair she touched became brittle and snapped off 5" from my scalp, I've clogged my hairbrush and the shower drain for the last 2 months, at least 1/3 of the volume is gone and what's left looks like macrame jute. When confronted, Dana said I need vitamins and maybe try Monoxidil. Zero accountability. It continues to break off to this day, so the horror isn't even over yet. Negative 5 stars

Truth be told as far as I seen everyone there does amazingly well but I style my son's hair and mine with them particularly. Atmosphere is great , the ladies & gents are great. I will continue to go there, have been for 6 going on 7 years but I do have 1 complaint and that is every year they raise the price on the haircut, I do believe that in one year they raised it twice in a year. When I first started going there 2018 it was $18 or $19, it's 2026 now and I pay $28 for me and $28 for my 7 year old sons hair , that to me is outrageous and uncalled for just diabolical! Plus we gotta tip another $10 plus on top of that ‍ it's out of control, most of us don't even make close to that an hour at our jobs plus it's located in the ghetto prices shouldn't be that high! But afar from than that I love this place. They get down and don't mess up on point and professional.

Well that all changed yesterday after a friend recommended Katy. Not wanting to take another 6-1/2 hour drive just for my hair, I gave Hair by Katy a try and I am glad I did, my hair and my eye brows were a mess. Finding someone who is good at cutting really fine hare without leaving scissor marks is sometimes difficult as is someone who can shape/cleanup blonde brows and making them totally semetrical and properly shaped for my face. Well Katy knocked everything including color out of the park. In addition to being one of the most personable/friendliest hair stylists I have ever worked with for decades, she surpassed the level of service I was used to in California. Katy at "Hair by Katy" now has a new fan and permanent client. Thank you Katy

I got my hair done here a couple weeks ago and really loved it at the time. She was super nice when…read moreshe was cutting it and doing the highlights, and she definitely knew what she was doing. It was also great because we had great conversations so I was never bored and waiting for it to end. There were just two problems. One, the color I chose was the exact same color as my natural hair, so it didn't turn out any different and nobody knew I even highlighted it. I didn't know when I chose it that it was the exact color as my hair, and it would have been really nice if she, as a professional would have corrected me and steered me towards a different color. I really wanted my hair to be a much lighter blonde. Now, that doesn't bother me that much, because although I wish she would have pointed out that that was my natural hair color, I did pick the color myself. The thing that really bothered me is a couple weeks after I got it done I tried to contact her again explaining that I wanted a lighter color. All I asked is when I can come back and try again and how much it will be because I wanted her to do it again. She ignored me! I tried again a week later and she ignored me again! Then a few days after that I tried one last time and she again did not respond. This is super unprofessional, and unfortunately I don't believe I will be going to her again. I can't rely on her to actually respond to me to make another appointment, and I don't know why she is doing this. Anyways I was hoping to make her my permanent hair stylist, but that isn't going to happen because she won't respond.

That's why my experience at the Gilbert location has been so disappointing. My concern isn't just one appointment. On multiple visits, the manager with long black hair has come across as cold, short, and condescending toward me. While in her chair, there has been very little conversation or warmth, and I've repeatedly left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome--as though I'm an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. As a woman of color with textured hair, this treatment has also left me wondering whether my race or hair texture plays a role. I can't speak to anyone's intentions, but I can speak to how these interactions have made me feel. I previously raised concerns about my experience, and I still don't feel they were handled adequately. I haven't returned since around July because I no longer feel comfortable there. There are things I appreciate about this location, and this isn't a criticism of every stylist. But it's unfortunate that the Drybar closest to my home is one I avoid because of how I've been treated. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works toward making every customer feel welcome, respected, and comfortable.

Im sorry to write this but I came here with my sister and she got her hair done by Lauren twice…read more she left some bleach spots and the rest was beautiful stripes of silver then when my sister pointed out those bleach spots that don't match the rest of the silver she went back and just for Lauren to tone her hair to a color no one to even notice anything was done with her hair it was just her dark brown hair. For me I got Samantha who did a pretty good job but I couldn't put my hair up because it was a yellow blond and showed too much in the front and I always had to wear my hair down but it was pretty good. I set an appointment to get it fixed which was today by the owner herself Alexis Jamison, I went in at 9:00 am and we discussed the plan for my hair on what to dye it like. We both agreed on a beautiful light brown which was on the side of blonde brown which she showed me a sample of on a piece of hair and I loved it. She bleached my hair more and got to it ,when she was done it was hard to tell what color it was but it looked nothing like what she showed me and what we agreed on and she didn't brush my hair all the way it was so tangled and she just defused my hair and my hair looked so bad I just gave up on my hair and just said I liked it and left and planned to never come back ever again. Again I truly apologize I'm not the type to do reviews like this but I'm just trying to help someone else not go through what me and my sister went through. I will not show the rest of my sister's hair she didn't want any part in this. To add on it felt so awkward being in there...so many dirty looks from the workers and just bad energy, I just would like to say again I will never be coming here ever again.

I explained that I have pink extension hair pieces attached to a hair tie and wanted to know if they could be braided into my hair for an upcoming event. I was told this would not be a problem and was instructed to book a braid service online and add an extension. I was also quoted a price of $48. When I arrived for my appointment, the stylist informed me that she had never worked with this type of extension before and that they typically only use clip-in extensions. While I truly appreciated her willingness to try and her kindness throughout the process, it was clear there had been a miscommunication with the call center. I would have preferred to be told ahead of time that this was not something the salon was familiar with, rather than proceeding with uncertainty during the appointment. Additionally, I was ultimately charged $65 for the service. At no point during the appointment was I informed that the price would differ from what I had originally been quoted. Being charged a higher amount without prior notice was frustrating, especially given the circumstances. Again, the stylists were very kind and did their best, and I appreciate their effort. However, the experience overall was not what I expected due to the miscommunication and lack of pricing transparency. I've written to your business when I was texted to review my experience and I've yet to receive any kind of response or reconciliation of the issue.
