a glass of gin and a book on a table - Two cocktails are on a wooden table at an outdoor seating area of a bar or restaurant. One is a clear, pale-colored drink in a tall glass, and the other is an amber-colored drink with ice in a rounded glass. A leather menu or book is also on the table. Cushions and a metal railing are visible in the background, indicating an outdoor patio setting.

The bar itself is adorable and a great location. The bar could use some signage, it is not easy to get into. The stairwell at the bottom of lefty's can't be accessed, and there's a small sign that says to enter at the hotel. It just isn't very clear. We passed it and the valet ended up pointing us in the right direction. The bartender was so nice and knowledgeable. She did a great job recommending things. The drinks themselves were pretty decent but I wasn't WOWED by any of them. Could use some more exciting ingredients.

tables and chairs with umbrellas - The image shows an outdoor seating area with multiple black metal chairs that have white cushions. Large striped umbrellas provide shade over the seating. A wooden bench runs along a landscaped area with green plants. The background includes a modern building with large windows and a covered wooden ceiling with black lighting fixtures. The ground is paved with large gray tiles.

Nice little roof top bar located on the 2nd floor of the Arrive hotel. They made me a Gin Old Fashion and it was delicious. They also have snacks and ot over looks a bar next door.

What a little hidden gem! As an avid gin lover, I feel like a pro here. You can have yummy cocktails but also try different gin flights. I found a new fave 'Dingle' from Ireland, it's somehow sweet and dry (my ideal combo). I also love the rooftop patio where this bar is located, plenty of great seating to share. My only issue with this place is how long it takes to get drinks. I understand quality over quantity however, on a Friday night, might be a good idea to have some folks ready to jump in if the line gets too long. Overall, im a big fan and will be back.

Hidden atop the valet entrance to Arrive hotel you'll find a nice slice of relaxation to imbibe with a vast number of Gins. Gin Bar is a great space. It's not so overdone like Vixens Wedding or overpriced like Lefty's. I think they got it right the third time here. They have a lot of gin here - seriously a lot! I'm a gin fan and when I also saw they had Jenever I was certain they new Gin. I went basic and got a classic - Aviation. It was on point and secured my belief that they were the real McCoy and not just a theme with some random bartenders. I can walk to this place so I'm a bit biased but I'll surely return and think you should try it out for yourself. You'll be pleased.

salty something drink. v good! - A person with red nail polish is holding a pink-colored cocktail in a clear, ribbed glass with a salted rim and a black straw. The background shows an outdoor setting with picnic tables, gravel ground, and a few people seated or standing, suggesting a casual outdoor bar or patio environment.

came here for happy hour and a complimentary gin tasting! nice staff, sweet outdoor patio and upper patio that is part of the neighboring hotel. great place to hang out after work

A rooftop balcony features a rectangular planter with various cacti and succulents, illuminated by ambient lighting. A red neon sign spelling "LOFT" is mounted on a metal frame, casting a glow. The background shows a multi-story building with large windows, and the sky is transitioning from dusk to night. The balcony has a metal railing and a red chair is partially visible in the foreground.

Awesome rooftop vibes, great service, super yummy cocktail (get the Hawaiian!) :) glad we decided to check this place out!

Beautiful rooftop with great lighting and fire pits. Photo courtesy of our amazing bartender. - Six individuals are sitting on a curved wooden bench outdoors at night, with a dark brick building and large windows behind them. They are smiling and appear to be enjoying each other's company. The group includes three women and three men, dressed casually. The setting suggests a social gathering or night out.

Little late in writing this, but I took my team out for drinks after a long work day in August 2021. I can't say enough about our bartender (forgot his name, sorry!). He went above and beyond to make our experience an absolute blast. We got to a point where he was making drinks for us based on flavor profiles we liked. He even made my wife an old fashioned out of gin that she adored (she hates old fashioneds). Next time I'm in Austin, I'll be sure to make a stop here.

The bartender claimed I was drunk and cut me off anyway. I was at the bar talking to a girl while waiting to get a drink (the wait was long because the service is very slow, despite the bar not being very busy at all). She was clearly into me, and the bartender kept jumping in trying to talk to her too (instead of doing his job making drinks). He was doing all sorts of things to try and flirt with her and make her laugh: pulling out and showing her buckets of pre mixed cocktails, running and sliding under the bar, etc. She was engaging with both of us , and right in the middle of that, I get cut off out of nowhere. No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there. I'm not coming back.

The bar is wonderfully dark, chill, and has a stage with live music. The seating is comfortable as well: couches and soft chairs. The bartender we interacted with was awesome! He was very chill. If you're coming here definitely do yourself the favor and Uber as parking is incredibly difficult to find there. Getting in is very quick and efficient and once you're in you're greeted by live music and a fun open space to get drinks and hang out with friends. There are multiple different places to get drinks from which is nice as you can choose how long you would like to wait in a line. Drinks are not unreasonably priced and they were good as well. The ability to sit throughout the area, get up and dance, or just listen to music makes this a great spot to stay entertained for a while. We came when there was an event being put on by Zyn where they were giving out free drinks to nicotine users which was funny because why not get you hooked on nicotine AND alcohol. But seriously, there are typically food trucks and more things going on here but the Zyn trucks took up those spots which was a bit of a letdown but we're assuming that's just a one off event. Between a good band, decent drinks, and a good amount of seating options, this is a good spot to sit down with some friends and just vibe out for the night. We'd give it a recommendation if you're looking for something fun but not too much fun on a night on East 6th.

The service was great, albeit there wasn't a big crowd. Everything came out quick and the staff were super attentive. The music was fun and vibes were great! I got to say that some happy hour prices were totally reasonable. Not boozy libations... but ok. However, $17 for a small cocktail? Joking right? Prices were from $5-$17 for everything from draught, premixed, and mixed but I feel like for that price point you are competing with bars that can be more creative with their drinks for a few bucks more. Is it worth a go? Sure! Recommend. Looking for basic cocktails at a reasonable price point- maybe. However they do focus on Mescal themed drinks if that's your thing so it's a bit of a niche. Comparing this place to legends like Roosevelt room isn't fair- but at least RR are heavy pourers! I left far from boozy which was fine for a weekday. IMO- Charge less for cocktails on happy hour. But I understand the $$$ for the location is extreme but I don't feel these are happy hour prices for drinks. Food- absolutely.
