This is the second time I've had to take my Chevy here for repairs in the last 6 months. The first time they had it for 3 months. This time it has been a month. They refused to approve a rental even though this repair has to do with the transmission which they replaced in February. I cannot get through to service. No one answers. I text my service advisor and she also doesn't respond for weeks. I'm guessing I will need to show up there to check on the status of my vehicle.

Air filter housing

Car started idling funny after having it serviced started surging up and down for about a week then the check engine light went on. Found air filter housing was installed wrong.

This review is due to the lack of communication from the dealership as well as the false information posted on the vehicles description; I was looking forward to purchase. I contacted Gilroy Chevrolet Cadillac regarding their 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Pre-Owned to be precise I chatted with 3 different individuals Joseph, Ayana, and Thanh I contacted them yesterday 01/24/2020 before 8am and in the afternoon and also this morning they all gathered my contact information email and or phone number yet no one followed up with me regarding my concern/question. No phone call no email and I also checked my junk mail in case the email was stored there, but nothing. My only question/concern was that in the vehicle description stated that interior of the vehicle was marked as "adrenaline red" yet while looking at the vehicle pictures I could see that the interior was actually black. Today 01/25/2020 at around 3:30pm I had to drive to Gilroy from San Jose just to check the interior of the car because no one was able to follow up with me and as busy a dealership could be I know for a fact it doesn't take not even 3 minutes out of their time to check on something so simple. The car is inside the show room. I didn't even open the door when I arrived because the car is literally at the entrance and I could see right away the car has a black interior.

One note: sales managers who was not involved the original deal discussions, texted halfway through the process on the Saturday, and was very curt, advising "Not a chance, but best of luck with your search". It was a bit abrupt and surprising, given that we were communicating respectfully and collaborating towards a deal that could have worked for everyone. As a result, I did end up continuing with my search as the manager advised, and found something that worked even better and I bought a car the very next day next day. I think this manager lost the deal for his team. Hope the dealership addresses this lack of professionalism, as Hyundai Gilroy has such potential to be a successful dealership selling great cars in our area! They've been with us through almost every Toyota we've owned, and they continue to provide quality, efficient service and clear communication year after year. To this day, my family refuses to take our cars anywhere else -- and we specifically request Julian every time. I'm sure that will continue for as long as he's there. Julian is reliable, friendly, quick, thorough, and always reasonable. We truly couldn't ask for better. I've personally been working with him for at least the past two years, and he's helped me through multiple nails in tires, a couple of broken windshields, and keeping my car running smoothly despite the many hours of driving I put on it every week. Shoutout to the dealership, the amazing ladies in the service department, Julian, and one of my favorite techs (I have horrible memory, and I wish I could remember his name!) -- the sweetest guy who's always wearing the coolest sunglasses, has a great beard, the nicest smile, and the friendliest energy every time you pull into the service area. When I hadn't received an update, I called and was told the car would actually need a couple more hours, which was stressful since I had an important appointment. Before I even had a chance to get upset, Paula at the service concierge desk stepped in and truly went above and beyond. She immediately arranged a rental car for me at no charge so I could make my appointment on time. Her kindness and quick problem-solving completely turned the situation around. When I returned later that day with my child, she even offered a coloring book to keep my little one busy while I finished the paperwork and picked up my car--such a thoughtful touch. I'm very grateful for how they handled everything and for not charging me anything extra despite the delay. Paula's attentiveness and genuine care really stood out, and she made what could have been a frustrating experience into a positive one. Big thank you to Paula and the customer service team at Freeway Toyota!

Marco and I drove from the Fresno area because the local dealerships didn't want to offer competitive pricing, but a quick online search showed that Gilroy had the best pricing and discounts that everyone else we checked from Bakersfield to Merced and as far west as Paso Robles, so basically the entire Central Valley. While I do wish the sales manager on duty was a little more personable, Jessilda's demeanor and professionalism certainly made up for any shortcomings from other staff. Thank you again Jessilda for making this a memorable experience for my best friend Marco and I will certainly keep Gilroy GMC in mind the next time I purchase a new vehicle.

We drove from Gonzales to pick up a part because Gilroy was the closest that had it in stock today. We arrived at 1:08 to be greeted with a hand written note, "out to lunch back at 1:45". So we sat down and waited At 1:45 the gal that was at lunch (didn't get her name, older lady wearing a beanie cap) pulled the part for us and brought to counter. She then yells, "Roberta can you help them?" I guess Roberta does everyone's job here. I hope her coworkers don't take advantage of Roberta. Roberta helped us with a smile. I suggest the service/parts depart cross train so that when one is out to lunch the other covers the counter. AND when you're handing out parts that employee be responsible for the entire transaction. It just looked like Roberta was being directed to do everything in that place. Also during my wait I went into the showroom expecting to be approached by a salesperson. I believe I counted four. The two in separate booths saw me and looked down. The last gentleman sitting at counter by door greeted me. He was very professional as was Roberta. The approach I received upon entering the showroom along with my experience at the parts counter exemplified poor work ethics. I will not purchase an automobile at Gilroy GMC I felt unwanted My experience... when the boss is a good director and trains and treats employees well, The customers receive professional. Courteous service by cross trained employees. This seems not the example here Remember... Happy Boss. Happy employees. Happy customers. Happy reviews. Team and guest experience * Josephine and Yash were amazing, and the entire team contributed to a fantastic experience. * I brought my nine-year-old daughter along, and Benji went out of his way to help her feel involved in the process. He even taught her how to use the car's remote features, including the new vehicle's remote control. It meant a lot to have her included and supported. Only had my experience here with sales on sept 1 2025. Bought a brand new Tesla m3. Few things for…read morea very expensive transaction that I feel should've been accommodated as a consumer. 1.) zero flexibility on referral. Clearly showed that I was a referral prior to purchasing the car and that I tried to use the link. Even through the in-app chat they said I would receive it but in store they were either incompetent or unable to make the referral happen. $500+ worth of lost discounts here that I rightfully qualified for. 2.) zero flexibility on college student discount. I have proof of being a college student. Nonetheless they were unable to apply $1k discount as stated in their website. Now we're at $1.5k worth in losses. 3.) car came with a unremovable scuff on the driver seat. Tesla service later replaced the seat at no cost to me but this took an entire day of mine and about a month of having this scuff to resolve. When purchasing a brand new vehicle this just doesn't make sense to me. I feel like purchasing a car is one of the magical life milestones that should be exciting and perfect. Instead it felt frustrating and that things could've been taken care of better on Tesla's sales side.

Don't buy a car here. I should have checked the reviews on this dealership before going there. I…read morewas looking at a used 2022 mustang Mach 1 they had on their lot. Two weeks ago, I came by the dealership to take a look at the vehicle. Since I had a short break and had to leave, I asked the salesman to either call or text me on the out the door price on the vehicle. I received a text from the dealership on their price, which I believe to be too much. I asked for a breakdown on their pricing. A day later, I got another text message on the price breakdown. Outside of the sales tax, the dealership was adding $800 in fees and another fee for $349 for something called "portfolio protection." I asked them what this protection is for. They text back saying it's a protecting package for the car. I did some research, and this protection is total bs. And asked them to remove it. They refused saying they can't because its "part of the car." Then I asked for a detail breakdown of the $800 in fees. They did respond and I noticed they were charging transportation fees. The car is used. Transportation fees are for new cars not used. I spoke someone I know that works at another dealership and they said most of the fees Gilory Dodge is charging is total bs and unnecessary. Again, they were just trying to squeeze me for more money. I finally got fed up with dealing with them and I text back saying no thank you and that they are being dishonest with their fees...the next day, I started getting multiple text messages and phone calls from other dealerships that I never contacted. One of the dealerships that text me was from was Monterey BMW. I asked the person who contacted me, how they got my number. They said they received an inquiry for a used vehicle in their inventory and my number was listed as a contact number and in addition on the body of the message to them, there was some derogatory words which the person there said they will not repeat to me....So its pretty obvious, someone from the Gilroy Dodge, send multiple inquiries to other dealership, using my cell number without permission in retaliation, just to annoy me...BTW, if anyone from the Gilroy dodge is reading this review, your idiot employee or employees is potentially violating CA CIPA: California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA) (PC 632.7).... In conclusion, don't go to this place, not worth your time and money.

Absolutely pathetic experience from start to finish. We pointed out a horrible burning smell coming…read morefrom the car during the test drive, and instead of responding like a competent professional, the salesman immediately became defensive, hostile, and started talking over everyone the second we questioned the condition of the vehicle. I've driven enough old cars, junkers, and barely-alive beaters to know exactly what overheating coolant, slipping transmissions, and burning fluids smell like. This car felt like it was actively dying during the test drive. The transmission dragged, the engine smelled cooked, and the entire vehicle gave off the energy of something one hard acceleration away from a tow truck. What's insane is they still wanted over $7,000 for it purely because the mileage was "low." Low mileage means absolutely nothing when the car drives like it's moments away from mechanical failure. Putting lipstick on a breakdown doesn't magically make it reliable. The attitude was honestly the worst part. The second I started pointing out actual mechanical concerns, he immediately started talking down to me like I couldn't possibly understand cars because I'm a woman. Sorry, but some of us actually know what a dying transmission feels like, and screaming over customers doesn't suddenly make your inventory safe to drive. This place operates like they're hoping buyers are too inexperienced to notice obvious problems before signing paperwork. If this is how they behave before taking your money, I can only imagine the nightmare afterward. I genuinely would not trust these people to sell a bicycle, let alone a car.
