Get to know the farmer and make wise choices. We have tried a few different beef farmers in the area and Cartwright is by far the best value and quality we have found to date.

RUA MEATS IS NOT HALAL CERTIFIED…read more I ordered a bulk halal beef package from the halal section on their website after trusting their explicit claims of Halal Certification. I confirmed my Halal order twice with staff prior to delivery. When I received the delivery, the packing slip and delivery bag also claimed it was 100% Certified Halal. We had already prepared and served some of the meat during Ramadan before noticing the individual labels had no halal information. When I contacted the owner by email to question this he confirmed that I had been sent non-halal beef but refuses to take responsibility. I asked for their Halal Certification and they refused to provide it and then removed all claims of Halal Certification from their website! As you can see in the photos below, the packing slip claims all meat is halal and the delivery bag states "100% Certified Halal Food". Rua has refused my repeated requests for a refund.
