A direct competitor did my estimate the same day (vs 2.5 week wait at Abra) and was able to get the car in for repair within 10 days. When I took my vehicle there they were right in the middle of major construction in the front of the building. The addition will add a much needed customer lobby. The current facility looks worn down in the inside with two chairs to sit in while you look at the front office staff pushing paperwork, not very appealing. David was the guy who helped to give me a quote for the repair work and handle all the paperwork between my car insurance company as well. The side of my vehicle was badly damaged from a snow accident and the estimated time David gave me to fix this was two weeks. The vehicle was fixed to the exact date that he quoted and the work ended up costing slightly more than he thought but he didn't make me cover that; he stated he would contact my car insurance company and discuss with them. All in all, they were able to get me on the schedule a week after I brought my vehicle in for a quote. The estimated repair work took 2 weeks, which is reasonable considering the extent of the damage. The vehicle was repaired on time. I only had to pay my deductible, no other hidden or unforeseen fees.

The one thing I like about Automotive Procare is that they take pictures and send you information on exactly what was checked, what is looking wrong. They also provide a shuttle to get ya home as they work on your car, which is a plus for me. Following the full car assessment, I wish I got a call regarding the quote, rather I had to call in to get the quote as I waited for quite awhile. They did ask to keep my car overnight to look at it in the morning which I said yes too. I called in late afternoon the following day as I was concerned I didn't get a call back. As Zach, the front desk guy, told me if your car uses 0W-30 synthetic oil, they will charge less than 5W-30. Has anyone in Rochester got this? Ironically, I called ahead and provided my car's year, model with the type of oil that I have been used for years which is full synthetic, on the phone they told me the amoun lesser than they charged without asking for VIN number as Zach said to know which weight of the oil. Bottom line is be careful to bring your car for service at this auto shop in Rochester, MN because they will find a way to charge you more with their "complex but not straight upfront" as simple as engine oil service. Surely they won't see me again. BTW, Zach gave me a long list of courtesy diagnosis recommended fixes in which I'm not sure I trust it due to what happened to oil change service I got.
