I have NOT bought a Car since 2006 and was never the type to Keeping Up with the Jones. Anyways I notice when going to work early morning my Chevy Trailblazer (Who I named Old Faithful) was reving really hard. As I continued to drive it out to where I had to go the Check Engine light went on. I had this problem before which is an Engine Misfire. On one of the Sparkplugs and Cylinders. I had contact my relative and she sent me to Midas In Eden Prairie, MN. Boy DID I MAKE A BIG MISTAKE. Midas told me I had to replace a whole cylinder head!! IT was gonna cost me $6k!! That is like a good used car! On top of that they we're inspecting other parts of the car that was not necessary! Unfortunately, I had to pay $122 for the diagnostic but I by change had contacted on Craig's List another Mechanic who referred me to Erik. I had told Erick and he himself was shocked at my story! He new Midas was BS-ing and I went to him. My engine was still fine! I just needed new spark plugs which he believed Midas technicians damage by pulling it out the improper way and new great quality coils which I should have don vs buying from Ebay. All in All I only spent $400 and my engine was running great. Please come over here! He won't rip you off with Lies about the car! 5 stars in my book especially coming from Chicago, IL.

However, Babcock is within walking distance of my house so I figured I'd give them a try and not have to deal with a courtesy ride. As it turns out, they did a great job at a reasonable price. The staff was super friendly but professional and efficient. They kept in touch with me, letting me know what needed repair immediately and what could wait, what everything was going to cost, how long it would take, and when it was ready. Also, I did not think the decor of the waiting area was over the top. It was comfortable and clean. I will not hesitate to take my vehicle there for work in the future.

By comparison, Park Place BMW has one advisor working and have NEVER pressured me I went for an oil change and overheard the service advisor talk about his new Hellcat (Hello commissions) as he tried to turn my $125 mobil 1 oil change into a $2500 bill, NONE OF Which was recommended by the mechanic. The BEST was the attempted CLOSER.......he said he would be careful driving very far because my coolant and hoses had 80K miles...........no leaks.........just miles, lol Go someplace , no anyplace else.
